@@thetaekwondoe3887 Usually. There are a couple cameras that record to an internal memory and then you download it to your phone wirelessly but those are fairly rare these days.
only problem with that is if they were standard, the car companies would probably cut all the corners to put the cheapest low quality camera in there.

And by doing so he made sure the other driver learned ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. When you act aggressively, you cement, permanently, in the other driver's mind that you are at fault for everything.

Yea it's likely there was a business nearby like Staples, Office Depot, etc where he could get it printed real quick and then back over to leave on the vehicle.

There's no need to show the same incident from multiple camera angles when one of them shows all the relevant details of the event. With both clips in this video that showed multiple angles, the second camera angle provided no additional details to understand what happened.

It's because this channel is purely for stealing content and monetizing it. They add the additional angles to pad for time. The OG Idiots in Cars channel that posts like 6 min vids with no commentary or anything is much better.

I’m not justifying the car turning in front, but they were turning left and we’ve all been in that situation where there is a long line and you have to sort of creep and hope a decent person will let you in. The speeds were slow enough there was not going to be a “crash”. 😂

this is the kind of thing where it's the road designers fault. there are many intersections that either when they were built, didn't have a ton of traffic so there were no long lines, but then the town grew and the intersection was never updated to have a light so people can take turns.
I see this all the time in my city. Intersections that used to not be busy, but now that the city has grown, there just needs to be a traffic light there so that people can at least take turns instead of waiting forever for traffic that isn't going to clear any time soon. especially during rush hour. Any time I'm trying to take a left turn onto a busy road especially during rush hour, im usually waiting a long while
Uh no no no, the dash cam driver just went. It was the other driver's turn. In those kind of intersections, you have to wait your turn! You don't just go when you feel like it.

Do you mean in the double left turn lanes? Usually people want to get into that lane because they're going to be turning right shortly, or turning into a house or business on that side. The second and especially the third example of the three looked okay to me, though they should have signaled. The first was way too close to the cammer.

Watching these videos makes me aware it rarely occurs to me to use my horn. My mind goes immediately to evasive action.
The school clip at the end. You saw ahead of time that they were turning, but pushed through anyway. Had you hit, you would have been found partially responsible because you didn't actively avoid an accident. The car is wrong to turn, but just because you have the right of way doesn't mean you can plow into them for the sake of it.
Obviously the cammer wasn't gonna ram into them. But they made sure to let the car know they were in the wrong. Would have done the same.

3:00 That EXACT same situation happened in front of me once. I was turning left, light turned green but I didn't go. I looked to my left and an older lady ran stop light and t-boned car next to me who was already committed to turning. Felt bad for them, but whew...

6:19 Another thing: Never use high gear in such weather. I've been ridiculed many times for stating this, and I don't care because those who ridicule me are qualified idiots themselves. You have the transmission in high gear, the wheels will be rotating faster, increasing the risk of what happened here...and automatics are not immune to this. There's a reason why automatics have lower gears that are manually accessible. *This* is why.

7:13 my hometown recently installed a railroad crossing signal with arms. They also installed several curbed medians in the middle of the street to keep people from weaving through the crossing (?) Within days they had chunks missing because people kept running them over.
The other night I saw they've installed 3 foot high reflector poles around the edges of them. We'll see how long until one gets plowed down.

@kristie6486 I've seen people actually lift up gates to let people through a crossing. Here, the tracks are so old they actually have a 10mph speed limit set, so we've not had anything that severe. It was part of a state funded safety thing, I think.
@thectyptid00 some people just don't pay attention. Some people don't have good reaction times. Some people have a combination of both. Admittedly, these new curbs are in a weird arrangement, but you could still see them before the poles.
@@thectyptid00 Plus, driving is a multitasking activity. You have a lot to think about while driving, and you can’t pay attention to everything all at the same time. I am not excusing these drivers though; quite a few don’t take necessary precautions

4:40 people who drive like this should not be driving anything with kids onboard. On my bus route, we have to go down a busy street where the speed limit is 25. They installed one of those things that tells you your speed and tells you to slow down if you’re too fast on the sign. One time we caught him going 32. Also, just about every day, he makes a full stop in the middle of the road to put his jacket on/off.
Another time we had a substitute bus driver and she made a wrong turn at a 4-way intersection. She backed up to turn the other way and backed into a sign. The sign was a ‘watch children’ sign.

see someone did that at my job and i work in a mall and it’s hella busy on the weekends n this dumb kia took two parking spots and best believe i parked nxt to their a$$ and if they hit then it’s on them and i got the picture to prove it n dashcam but another person left in a different spot so my mom wanted me to move their and once i did i left them a note cause it wasn’t a nice looking kia anyways it’s a kia n my mom trying to say “maybe they old” yay right had no handicap

7:10 - I was at college one night when I watched a person do exactly that. They drove across all the lines separating the parking spots and up the curb to the landscaping, except the other side of the curb was a hill going down to the entrance ramp. They also had a railing to the right and tried going between it and a tree in the landscaping. When they got out of the car they insisted that was the way they came in. I just wished them good luck calling a tow truck since the front tires were now 2 feet off the ground.

2:00 is the kind of crap car that I'd never want. I had a worse, higher speed crash in a Renault and I AM THANKFUL that the airbags didn't deploy, as they were not needed.
2:40 - that actually happens. I dunno about other places, but here you have 24h to report an accident. We established a meeting point later and he came with the cash. He was a taxi driver, so an official complaint would have been bad for him, and I needed the money in a bad financial episode. I repaired the car myself months later, and I used the money from him for everyday groceries and such :)
Rear-ending people due to distracted driving is also generally bad. I don't trust any random person to not screw me over when there's a hefty sum of money on the line; that's what I pay insurance for.
Dont you know, blinkers give you the right of way and when merging always jump to the fast lane.......(sarcasm for those who dont get it).

2:45 Distracted driving is everything that is not driving. Looking at your phone, talking on your phone, smoking a cigarette, eating, even listening to the radio or talking with passengers. Those last two sound a bit extreme but you need to know your threshold and your threshold is situation dependent. As the driver you are responsible for the safety of everyone in the car. If the road and/or traffic conditions are such that you require a higher than usual level of concentration, turn off the radio and tell your passengers to stop talking for a while.
