Lots of aggressive drivers in this video. Saying stuff about others, meanwhile they're giving us video evidence of them being hazardous to the health of other drivers.
He’s going to get a very unpleasant surprise from his insurance carrier when they inform him that he will be responsible for a portion of the repair costs. Shared liability is standard now in many states, and this was a prime example of why it has become so.

That clip shows one obvious thing. The cammer is not a good driver. The camweenie should have been paying more attention and looking further than the car ahead of him. If he looked farther than the front of its car, it would have seen the traffic congestion and slowed down sooner. The mouthbreather behind it would have been able to stop also. That's a violation of dashcam law, too. Bylaw 13-4.2 clearly states that the make of the vehicle is only to be stated in instances where said vehicle is a Tesla. This is primarily applicable for the cam vehicle, especially in cases where cam vehicle is in no way involved in the accident, but it's allowed to comment on Teslas in other cases, though, that is highly frowned on.

I saw the brake lights, driver not slowing down, then I heard the alarm, and driver began slowing down after another second or so. My car is so old it doesn't have that alarm. I remember seeing/hearing a similar "time to brake" alarm system in "Cherry 2000," a sci-fi movie that came out in the early 80s.

I like the part "the driver behind was issued a ticket for careless driving." Cammer should have been issued a ticket for careless driving too if the cops ever saw that footage. The car behind should not have been following so closely but cammer is definitely partly to blame for that accident.

Your videos saved my car, and possibly my life, today. I was driving home from college this evening and the roads were wet due to rain. Some jerk in a pickup truck decided to brake check the guy in front of me and I initially slammed my brakes but because they were slowing down so fast, I would’ve hydroplaned if I had braked any harder. Because we were in the left lane, I drove into the shoulder to avoid a collision and tried to merge back on in front of the pickup. Big mistake. Bro sped up and refused to let me back in, flipping me the bird in the process. I managed to get back on after he passed. I have never seen anyone brake check before irl. I only knew it was a thing from your videos (I am 20 years old and have been driving for about 4 years) so I am so very thankful for these videos. Keep up the great work!

nah their following distance is ok, they just weren't paying any attention. almost 4 whole seconds before they started braking after the car in front braked, half of which their collision alert was going off and they were ignoring it apparently
I noticed that too. For a while the brake lights were on but his speed was consistent and he didn't even bother to slow down until a few seconds after the warning tone went off. Honestly feel bad for the guy that rear ended him. If the telluride driver bothered to pay attention and not brake at the last second he would've had enough time to properly stop
that's what sucks about the whole "rear ender is always 100% at fault" policy. yeah the driver behind is responsible for making sure they have enough time to stop in these situations, but the cammer was obviously driving negligently and the crash probably wouldn't have happened if they were paying attention. they would for sure have hit the car in front HARD if their idiot nanny didn't save them. something like 75/25 fault split would be fair imo

Thats like saying you can pull out into traffic at any time and its every one else's responsibility to stop for you. Not how it works, if you're going to back out of a spot you need to make sure its clear.

At 6:04, the amber light goes on and with the speed and distance the cammer car is at from the junction, it is much safer to proceed through the junction than to stop. The majority of dash cameras are also wide angled so the viewable distance is also much further than it appears in real time.
And you’re ignoring the fact that if the car that rear ended them wasn’t following too closely or was also paying more attention, they wouldn’t have done that.

There's also the following distance factor, maybe they were following too close. Everyone should stay at least 3-4 seconds behind the vehicle in front for these very situations.

The accident that happened at 2:52 is totally the cammers fault. If they were paying attention they would have seen the driver of the black 4Runner already started to back up before they "the cammer" was approaching. It would have been different if they were already passing by behind the black 4Runner and it started to back up into them. But the black 4Runner was already backing up before the cammers car got there.
At 2:02, this really pissed me off because the driver lost a couple of seconds to start braking when the car in front of them started to brake (Probably distracted!) and therefore braked last minute causing the car behind them to rear end them. This should've been a 50/50. If you see brake lights, brake immediately and don't wait.

People driving full sized trucks should be required to get a CDL, pay extra taxes for fuel consumption and road wear, and face higher fines for road violations. We would see pickup sales drop off and our roads would become much safer. The thing is 95% of people driving trucks never use it but for grocery shopping. They buy them because they have a cowboy complex.

It’s clear that in 2:05 the automatic emergency braking stopped the car or indeed braked harder then the cammer was given the KIA collision warning going off initially as a warning which is the alternating tone and then the solid tone indicating the car is braking with no reaction from the driver until after the time became solid and the car was braking itself

2:03 It's possible the ACC radar got confused, notice it started beeping the moment it passed the semi and you have the barrier to the left.
That's said ACC is no excuses not to pay attention, especially when overtaking a large semi.

5:30 the commentary is way off. There's 4 lanes of traffic. It doesn't look like the driver signaled, which is wrong behavior, but they didn't cut anyone off, and the 4th lane is open. They can see from their vantagepoint what is next to or in front of those trucks, and will have to deal with the consequences of that. Would be no different moving from the far right lane to the far left lane. The van in the left lane shouldn't be there.
