3:00 "it's an unfair world we live in"? are you friggin kidding me? You're tailgating the semi, which leaves you no room to stop, and it's an unfair world?
I was gonna say maybe if he was also driving a semi he couldn't have avoided it, but he was in a Jeep. Guy was a moron who was driving beyond his skillset.
Tailgating in the rain no less. People have no concept of a safe following time
Better yet I'm calling bullshit anyway because he didn't even attempt to brake. Additionally there were no cars in the right lane which is why the semi ditched into it. Put the phone down dickhead. I love that word, unfair. He did this to himself.
To get a ticket on top is a lil much. Guy lost his car and a pair of underwear atleast. Could have just let it be. Is it not an accident at that point, he was following close enough to endanger so body else’s life too, wanna just throwattempted manslaughter at him too?
@@user-vh7ki7xu7o Nah, he absolutely deserves it. In his mind it was all not his fault (despite it absolutely being avoidable with just basic "common sense" and awareness) and his comments display that even this extra ticket hasn't shown him the errors of his ways.
2:30 It's an unfair world we live in when a truck has hazards on, which flashed 4 times before the genius in the car rear ends him without even trying to slow down a little bit.
I saw no evidence of slowing or braking. Yes, the road was wet but he was going too fast for road conditions, and following too close to the truck that switched to the right lane. It was careless driving. Plus, since he had video, I assume he showed it to the police who came to the same conclusion I did.
@@fairygoth-mother7341 The same conclusion we all did!
@@fairygoth-mother7341 Too bad there was no inward-facing camera, to show him fingering his phone.
Of course it’s a Jeep. Those drivers think they run the world XD

2:30 tailgating a semi during a downpour while passing people in the left lane is not grounds for you to claim "it's an unfair world we live in" LMAO! You are 110% at fault for that one. #ThreeDaysGrace
lol dude never brakes even once
@@mahzorimipod Roads were wet, brakes arent as effective
@@Semystic which is exactly why a responsible driver accounts for that by giving more space between them and the car in front of them to give the time needed for the weathers impact. but given the dangerous tailgating the driver was doing i have little reason to think he even bothered braking
Thank you!
Lol 😂 #ThreeDaysGrace love it haha
2:40 " receives a ticket for reckless driving" yeah, buddy, because you were driving recklessly lmao
Right? dude had plenty if time to react.
Looks like a case of careless reading. It said careless driving bud
@@mlb-ytCareless and reckless mean the same thing
@@jrayproductions7790 I suspect that careless is a lesser form of reckless when it comes to how the law's are written, but that's just speculation on my part.
@@jrayproductions7790No reckless is definitely worse
Dude that hit the semi was totally at fault! The semi in front of him had enough time.
To be fair, the only reason the semi was able to avoid a crash was because they were able to do a last second swerve. Cammer couldn't do the same as there was a car next to him. That being said, it was still his fault as he shouldn't have been following too close to be able to stop without rear ending anyone
That semi driver was just as bad in this scenario, they were just extremely lucky that they were able to swerve out of the way at the last possible second without hitting anyone
It’s his fault, but I don’t think there’s a reason to fine him for careless driving. He panicked and froze up, he should be made to pay for the damage but then just move on after that. The fine is just salt in the wound.
@@pat9353 Thing is, in most states, if you have front end damage and the other vehicle has rear end damage, the car with the front damage is always assumed to be at fault. It stinks, but that's the way the laws are written.
@@Eric_8724 He could have followed the semi who went to the right lane. Always keep scanning the lanes for an "out" if TSHTF.
Driving in 2023, there are two kinds of drivers:
1) The drivers on their phones who have no idea what's going on around them, and
2) The drivers who think that the horn and the brakes are interchangeable
If you smash the horn enough times, all the traffic in front of you goes away. Flashing your brights at the same time makes it happen faster.
2a) The drivers who think that the horn and the breaks are interchangeable, because they can't spell.
@@drwalker9093
Break - separate or cause to separate into pieces as a result of a blow, shock, or strain.
Brake - a device for slowing or stopping a moving vehicle, typically by applying pressure to the wheels.
2:25 Kaliph Z, little hint here: When the vehicle ahead of you brakes, brake HARDER than they do. You can't hit anything if you decelerate faster than the leading vehicle.
That's all fine and good until there is something in the lane. Swerving sure could be an option for the person ahead, but may not be an option for you.
For those wondering why the semi was stopped in the middle of the road: In the event of an air system failure, the emergency brakes on a semi will lock up when the system drops to around 20psi. That semi wasn't moving an inch until someone figured out how to get air in the system to release the brakes. Generally there should be enough time to get off the road before the emergency brakes engage, but with a significant enough air leak it could happen in less than a minute.
True, but not so much "emergency brakes " as normal operation.
With air brakes, the air holds the brakes in the released position, powerful springs and levers apply the brakes when the brake pedal is used to release the air (partially or a lot, depending on the situation). Guaranteeing that in the loss of air the brakes will apply, which is better than a "no air-no brakes".
Yes the air reservoirs should have enough capacity for a few applications and releases before it all locks up should the supply fail, or a leak happen.
But that means the operator needs to be paying attention to the air gauge(s) and someone hasn't disabled that annoying warning buzzer, and that happens more often than it should.
The actuators have a method of releasing the brakes without air, often using a screw device that can unwind the actuator, but it takes time.
Air pressure keeps the brakes from applying.
2:25 dude had a SOLID 5 seconds to do ANYTHING
he doesn't even slow down from 70 until he hits the back of the truck
@@mahzorimipodare you not able to read? I saw it hit 48 before impact. Do you think GPS has an instant update like a speedometer? I like how everyone is trashing on this guy from their keyboard, like they're always such impecable drivers. Obviously, he could've done better here. However, when you're driving on a 70mph road, you don't expect someone to just be at a dead stop in front of you. On top of that, add the wet roads and a semi sliding out of the way at the last minute. I bet most of you "driving experts" would end up exactly the same.
@@Batmann_ cry!!!
@Batmann_ If you can't stop on the length of the road you can see and crash, you were driving recklessly.
@@mahzorimipod me cry? You're the one spouting bs about his speed...
It's amazing how many of these could be entirely avoided with just a smidgen of situational awareness
Kaliph Z: If you see a semi braking(I clearly saw his brake lights), it should give you a clue that maybe something is going on ahead and you might want to slow down.
Especially semis. They don't wanna brake for anything to keep their momentum up and gas mileage low; so if they're braking you definitely should be
2:30 Tailgating, driving too fast for conditions, didn't even touch the brakes when the semi in front of you did. The only thing "unfair" is that you're getting a ticket and not your license suspended.
2:30 You didn't brake, even a little. Your speed moved between 61 and 58 over the time between the truck moving right, and you hitting the back. So, yes, careless driving as you didn't pay attention at all!
2:40 - the cammer was FOLLOWING TOO CLOSE
3:01 "The world we live in is unfair"? Are you kidding me? You're following the semi-finals, leaving you no room to stop and isn't that an unfair world?
Semi-finals 😂
Those semi-finals are wild
omg semi-finals lmao 😂😂😂
2:30 Well it's unfair for the semi. Broken down in the middle of the road and raining plus rear ended by this dude.
0:54 that “DAMNNNN” was pure gold.
Was pure GHAYEE BRRRUHHH!
A “you suck” after the “god damn it bro” would have been glorious
2:30 Dude, were you waiting for a hand-delivered letter to arrive to tell you to react?
For the one at 7:30, I honestly think the driver with the dash cam is at fault. They clearly had plenty of time to stop, given the fact that they were going as slow as they did. They could’ve easily hit the brakes in time.
Agree. No idea why he even squeezed that gap. Clearly the guy on the right is doing something fucking stupid, why take the risk? Just stop and wait for stupid to leave the scene, then continue. Would've cost him 5 precious seconds of time.
the other people with a dash cam are also hot headed, instead of slowing down they speed up. it's 10x better to give way than crashing your car and causing an accident.
Completely agree. It was obvious the car on the right was starting to move.
Brakes
They had the right of way, tho. It’s the responsibility of the person in the parallel parking spot to look both ways before pulling out
Yo KZ the fact is you didn’t even LOOK until about 1 second before impact. How do I know? Because you were silent until that moment - no sound of brake pedal being smashed, no sound of any sort of physical effort, not the slightest change in direction or velocity, no panicked hydroplaning. Nope. Full speed ahead Captain. Not even a peep until “AAAAAAH” - you finally looked straight ahead in front of you.
follow too close and fast for conditions does not make the world unfair
2:38 you ram into the back of a semi truck because you weren’t paying attention. Got a careless driving ticket and that’s unfair?
Shoulda followed the semi he sure got over. You weren't paying attention bc @2:27 - 2:29 the semi started to get over you didn't moan like a child till 2:32. If the semi got over it was safe to change lanes if you are following that close.
2:32 you had PLENTY of time to react, well, you would if you hadn't been speeding in the first place. Unfair world my ass.
Kaliph Z. You didn't leave a large enough gap to the vehicle in front which is why you hit it and why it's your fault.
And driving 70mph in poor driving conditions
He had Almost 7 seconds to stop/slow, excluding the slowing he should have done when the truck in front started to brake.
Kaliph deserved his ticket.
Whoever T-boned that cop probably had a very bad day following that...
Came here to say this!
I'm so glad that when I came to the comments I saw everyone else having the exact same thought process/reaction to 2:30 as I did. It's extremely simple, the more following distance, the more reaction time. The same can be applied to speed, the slower you're going to more time you have to react. I'd much rather be a couple minutes late to wherever I'm going than to lose my vehicle/life trying to speed and tailgate someone.
7:38 There's so many drivers in these videos who rather risk a crash than hit the brakes and lose a few seconds. Yes, the parked car shouldn't have swerved into the street. But you could see for a while what would be happening and that it would be a close call at least. So why risk your car and your day?
2:30 you were tailgating the first semi and had plenty of time to avoid hitting the second. you were careless driving.
lol bit alarming the person at 2:30 genuinely thinks theyre a victim
4:50 - And for some reason, people drive into blind spots and camp out there.
Cammer!
2:39 Yeah, it's an unfair world but you could have avoided that crash if you had been paying attention. I counted at least 3 seconds that stopped truck was visible and you didn't react.
2:20 cam cars fault for following too closely! couldve been avoided
04:31
Woman: "I would be raising every finger I had" = ✋🤚 ..😂😂
8:20 they do have their hazards on, so there's that.
terrible driver 2:30
4:40 this is why I try not to hover in someones blind spot.. if you have the room to get to where they can see you then do it.
And there was no reason to honk at the Honda. There was no imminent collision. People are way too uptight about letting anyone in front of them. The cammer should have just slightly lifted his right foot and gone about his day.
Can’t wait to see your 200 videos it should be a very special one
Dash Cammers took a big lost with this one
6:11 the speed limit is for optimal conditions. Judging by the droplets on your windshield and the shine on the road, one could say you were going too fast for conditions.
Going wayyyy faster than everyone else I doubt they were going the limit. Other driver signalled and switched lanes fine. They had more than enough room to slow down but chose to honk and flash high beams instead. It’s hilarious when these entitled drivers post their videos thinking people will be on their side.
Good job letting the longer text explanation stay on the screen so it can be read. Best compilation channel on CZcams!
2:28 "it's an unfair world we live in" Dude, you didn't seem to have any reaction until the split second before you hit that semi! I call total BS on you "scanning" to see if you could swerve.
Definitely distracted driving.
I felt the impact at 2:30 right in my bones
2:29 i kinda feel bad but this is why there's a law against trailing semis
6:38 try explaining that to insurance 😂 “you hit what!?!”
8:15 lmao that was funny
2:50 I was once in the same position as that semi driver. I was driving an artic (the British term for a semi) from Coalville back down south after doing a trunk run for a pallet logistics company and the truck just came to a halt after I pulled away from a roundabout. A truck coming up behind narrowly missed me. I had to wait for ages for the rescue guy to come out, he told me to drive slowly in shunt mode to a nearby garage where they identified that the problem was a ruptured air line on the trailer. A few days later, the same thing happened to a truck on the A1(M) highway in North Yorkshire, and another trucker came up behind, couldn't stop in time, went into the back of the stopped truck and was killed.
That accident on the bridge... I dunno, it seemed obvious that a lane change was needed and that the cammer didn't even try to slow down.
0:57 ahh mahh gaaahhhhwwwdddddd 💁💁♂💁♀
6:19 The brights were unnecessary and illegal the horn sufficed and who the hell drives the speed limit on wet/rainy roads? Do you want to be at fault of an accident?
Not at all surprised a left lane camper would act that way
Idiots in Cars is a mix of facepalms and disbelief. Who knew the road could be a stage for such spectacular displays of incompetence?
2:32 I literally think of this all the time when flying down crowded Los Angeles freeways. The fact that a car in front of my going 55 could suddenly swerve to avoid a car that's completely stopped and how dangerous it would be for me. That's why I look past the car in front of me and if it's not possible (as it's a huge semi) then I back off for safety.
@ 02:29 - When you know you're Wile E. Coyote in Roadrunner's World.
The clip with the school bus isn’t really bad driving on the bus drivers end, but bad driving on the cammers end. That cam car had plenty of time to slow down normally, given the roads were clear and no bad weather. That just seems like the cammer is inexperienced
7:58 ..... *DA FUCK is that ? An authentic 'POTATO 1982-Super 240p' camera ?* That's an real classic !
People, please, TURN INTO THE MOST IMMEDIATE LANE
“unfair world we live in” what a weird way to say you were distracted while driving
0:54 Andy Dick should post more of these Dash Cam moments!
0:30 I-40 is a literal nightmare at times. i absolutely loathe driving there and avoid it as much as i can. everyday there's a wreck there, it's crazy
1:08 Tacoma said "not today" 😂 got damn
Wow first time seeing an accident in my hometown. That intersection in Hattiesburg, MS is home to a lot of accidents. I actually remember seeing the aftermath of that accident on my way to work.
6:54 ..... To be fair, he didn't "run" an stop sign ! He stopped way before he hit you !
6:50
The driver was at full stop, just didn't check for traffic in your direciton.
Came looking for this comment
2:30 I'd of just gone for the right if it was clear man...
finally a ford flex is featured in one of these videos. i noticed id never seen one
I got punished for not paying attention while driving, what an unfair world we live in.
7:38 - Illegal standing and not properly parking. That said, insurance companies love to rule things 50/50 these days when you're both in motion bargaining that you won't get a lawyer.
8:01 - I didn't know there was an Apple II dashcam... >.>
drive safe out there
"Guy doesn't check his blind spot..." Stop driving in the blind spot!
I always drive directly next to the other cars so that my window decals make it look like I'm wearing a hat and smoking a cigar ;)
It will never cease to amaze me that people will still continue to change a lane, hear a horn and ignore the warning.
Guys with a dash cam when they see a crash “I GOT VIDEO I GOT VIDEO GUYS DO YOU WANT IT I HAVE VIDEO”
I've often said "Watch out for the other guy" but sometimes I am the other guy !
5:57 I don't think the cammer would've been at fault if the other truck hit him because he was practically fully in the lane and slightly ahead of him by the time the other truck began to change lanes but the dude obviously cant see a signal at the angle he's from so who knows, glad nothing happened!
That ”Danm” at 0:45 took just as long as that car’s tire screech.
7:05 the red jeep parked over there looks like the one from power wheels i had on my childhood
First comment reminded me of an anecdote a family friend related. Years ago he got stuck behing a slow moving, stake-sided truck carrying a load of peaches, on the west side of the Rio Grande from Albuquerque. When he eventually got a chance to pass he said the driver must have said to himself, " I theenk I gonna turn now!'" as the truck made a sudden left turn in front of him. My friend was able to stop in time, but he said it was so close that he could see the stubble on the driver's face.
0:20 ...thing is, the semi was the one who swung into the lane with the van. The van was being totally evasive.
5:06 ...this is what happens when qualified drivers won't work. We're stuck with the barely get by crew who can cause accidents by doing this.
5:55 ...most likely a mutual incident on same merge, no fault.
7:38 ...you were definitely, you kept coming even though you saw he was being stupid and coming over and you had plenty of time to slow or stop. You did neither and drove into him.
0:20 the semi was signaling for lane change yet the van decided to change lane to overtake the semi, if you look carefully youll notice that the semi had the blike on before the van changed lane who didnt use the blinker.
just saying.
I swear, names of dashcam video posters are sometimes hilarious
Damn, cop at 6:30 running the red light and caused a wreck
What no they had their siren on the drivers all should have yield
How do you hit a car with 1,000 red and blue flashing lights with a loud siren?
Hahahha that guy at 0:54 daayyyum, oh my goooood bro
Crazy
Ford Flex was trying to see how much Flex they had in the suspension..lol
Imagine how happy it would be if there were no more idiots in cars
I had to catch my breath! Instant karma struck like a bolt of lightning! ⚡😨
0:50 “DAAAAAAAAAMNNNN!”
It seems like there's no shortage of questionable driving decisions out there.
what ive gathered from the first few minutes is these cars start on fire a lot

2.50 you claim "UNFAIR" the truck with trailer infront cleared the issue... You just weren't watching
"Oh muh Gwaddddd, bro!"
I am curious if the US have "Yield" signs? or if you guys use Stop signs for the same thing?
Yes, we have Yield signs that often get ignored. Stops signs are either treated as Yield or ignored, which happens often in the part of the city I live in.
0:35 I wonder if he was running with the cruise control engaged.
