The last clip was my favorite, made my day 🤍
That last clip happened to me a good few times too, when I've let someone go, another just pushed their way out.
5:54 This one is genuinely terrifying. If the light turned green a few seconds sooner, Cammer probably would have been safe from this drunk driver. Hope recovery goes well.
5:54 That's one hell of a jump scare
No shit, nearly hopped out of my chair.
OMG yea I screamed and my hands flew to my face in terror. I watch scary movies that don't scare me as bad as that clip did.
It made me flinch.
5:56 listening to "you dropped a bomb on me" right before a bomb came flying and smashing the car. Insane
3:26 nooooooooo not the delorean!
Don't worry, Doc Brown can save it.
Flux capacitor.. TOTALLED
5:38 No amount of emergency brake, lane holding and other BS assistance will help when cars are driven by idiots distracted by flatscreens glued to their dashboard.
Using mobile phones is bad:
Meanwhile Tesla, every single aspect of the car is controlled via a tablet, even the speedometer is on the tablet and not a physical display in front of the driver.
Swear down, what drugs was Elon on when he designed Teala?
I read a post where someone said they watch Netflix while they drive... 😮 these people are on the same roads as the rest of us.
Thanks for using my video. I thought for sure he was going to pop that UPS truck coming out!
1:07 I like how cammer anticipated that white pickup will merge into his lane and hit the gas to not let him but then acted shocked when he actually moved into his bumper. What was the problem to let him merge? He is an asshole but you made it yourself
Agreed. Cammer should've owed 20% for sheer idiocy.
Bet you it was road rage between the two and we just don't have enough video prior to the clip to see it. No reason for anyone to punch the gas that hard on a city street, let alone both of them.
People don't drive with that level of malice behind every action. I completely disagree.
I live here and drive on this road every day. This road in particular is part of the 101 highway (Eureka, California). People straight up just drive like this every day here. Either cutting you off or not letting you merge or not planning their course ahead of time. And it's a pretty small town so it's just even more irritating that people don't know how to get around safely.
@@sarcasticguy4311 then why did he completely floor it right off the light. If he wasn't trying to block that other car, the only other reason I can think of is if he knows the light timings and knows he won't need to break at all before that next light, which would just be unlucky then.
5:54 jeez man that's so fucked.... dude at the light was just waiting and minding his own business and still got his shit wrecked... it sucks but at least it was only a shoulder tear and not something worse
Only. Let me tell you something about shoulder injuries, they can mess you up real good, permanently sometimes.
@@Earthneedsado-over177 hey man I'm not saying shoulder injuries are a walk in the park or anything, but if that truck veered slightly more in one direction or if the cammer's car was in another position, the cammer could've had it WAY worse injury wise! Didn't mean to say a shoulder tear is nothing, it seems quite shitty, just that it also seems like one of the slightly less serious injury outcomes in this situation
Ironic song to be playing for that to happen too.

@10:17 I was thinking, Steve Hofstetter, the comedian? Then the caption, it's a van full of comedians...
So he's apparently also a solid evasive driver as well. Good to know! 😆
I'd like to see people try to claim THIS Steve Hofstetter video was staged!
I didn't even notice the name at first, but when he said "I just saved our lives" I thought he sounded familiar, then the caption said what it said, so then I looked at the name. LOL
3:08 Apple
god damn apples
TIP: if you come to a complete stop on the interstate, turn your hazard lights on to let drivers behind you know you are stopped. Living in Atlanta, I believe it saved me from countless accidents
Why would you come to a full stop on the interstate??
@@Klaxxos traffic
Do that and get ready to bail to the side.
@@Klaxxos Traffic, mechanical failure, impassable hazard on the roadway.
I think cars in Europe have it so that when you brake hard, the brake lights flash, and the hazards automatically turn on.
3:58 This is why I always take the inside lane on double lane turns. I can trust myself but you can't always trust the other guy to stay in their lane.
I had some idiot do that to me. I was on the inner lane, and he outer, he turns into my lane anyway and crashes me.
The funny this is to, that the lane the cammer was in is a turn right only lane (I live in that city)
I was like "this guy is all the way to the right, and turned LEFT, at a small intersectiin. I would assume that lane cammer was in was a RIGHT ONLY lane tf is he smoking?" @@inactivecreator
@@starlight_studios8784 Fr! It is a right lane only, so I was very confused when he pulled out to the left
11:25 I FEEL THIS ONE SO HARD, I live in a neighborhood with several four-way intersections that are NOT four-way stops. If I had a dime for every time I've been glared at, honked at, screamed at, or nearly hit for driving with the right of way…
My hometown has a few intersections that *used* to be 4-way stops that got reduced down to 2-way stops, and I do my best to avoid them because people will 1. tap their breaks and keep going, thinking everyone has to stop, or 2. slam on their breaks thinking they need to stop when they don't. You get tired of the "are they gonna roll through it and plow into me?" thoughts real quick.
There's an intersection not far from my house where the southbound lane has a stop sign for the freeway on-ramp accessed by a left turn lane, but the northbound left-turn lane does NOT have a stop sign. I've personally had 2 near-misses with SB drivers either not knowing I didn't have to stop or simply not caring that they are required to wait for oncoming traffic to clear. Ventura, CA
8:03 "Shi**ing Peugeot!"
Thank god my car beeped there or i dont think i would have reacted that fast.
According to the Great Jeremy Clarkson, Peugeot drivers are the world worst.🤣
5:24 assuming they were looking at their screen, yeah! let's keep adding more screens into trucks and cars! (can we bring back cute small trucks used solely for their purpose)
It's cheaper than buttons, and it's very unsafe. I mean, you need to look at the screen to operate so many basic functions, it's ridiculous. But revenue trumps safety. At least this one wasn't a cybertruck...
@@CuivTheLazyGeek "atleast it wasn't a cybertruck", LOL! I'm not sure how driving is but I would assume that buttons are better just because of muscle memory for functions and *knowing* what you press, cause all the screens I see have a bajillion different menus.
Who was looking at their screen dash cammer? Or person behind?
@@crucialcubing773 I'm positive they are referring to the person behind (the Tesla) that rear ended them, "Driver appears to be looking down and to the right before the accident so either on their phone or messing around with the screen"
@@rover-kx2tc ah gotcha was gonna say don’t think the dash cammer was on anything lmao
These videos sure destroy the "polite Canadian" stereotype, LOL.
For real. They're as angry (if not angrier) up there as we seem to be down here...
We had to earn our Warcrime status somehow and being polite isn’t the best way
You kidding me dude? As an American I'm over here watching all you crazies in Toronto be mean as hell to those poor maple leaf boys.. 😂
I learn so much from these vids. Thank you for posting brother 🏆
Eso eso eso🤏🏻🤏🏻
A moment of silence for the innocent DeLorean.
I love Steve Hofstetter but but never imagined I’d see him crop up in a Dashcam Nation video!
9:46 You con't pok theya suh.
7:43 The people that live in LA know that glendale has 2 things a lot of car crashes and cops. The video shows this perfectly.
8:21 is why I hate 280. Full of idiots. Yeah the guy cut you off... but come on you can clearly see he is inching in. On top of that, the lane ends and calls for a merge anyways... For the sake of traffic flow slow down and let him in. This entrance is coming from RT21 in Newark onto 280 South - West Orange
Who caught the Huey Lewis song?
Thanks, Dashcam Nation, I always look forward to these videos. Smh on some people, just had a guy flick me off while driving home. I kept my distance, and all is well. Have no idea what is wrong with people these days. 🤷♀️🤷♀️
I know this is really bad to say and if it does happen this comment will be there and it will look even more crazy but people are so bad out there on the roads anymore I keep telling people that one of these people on their phones or not knowing when to turn or what the hell they are doing are going to be the ones that hit and kill me.. I just crazy stuff all day long with my job driving all day everyday.. it literally gets worse out there by the day.. BY THE DAY. Somehow I don't even have a dash cam.
A rear end collision occurred in our drive thru. The guilty party ran before the cops could show up.
It gets better.
The hit and run driver called our store about 15 minutes later, wanting to know if we still had their order ready. "I had to leave because the people in the other car were yelling at me."
Yeah that tends to happen when you hit someone. 😂
With the way that most cammers love to blow their horns, you'd expect the wrong way driver to get beeped at, but nope,... crickets.
it's a fast and surprising situation so the evasive action comes first
Tesla /EVs brakes are not up to stopping the weight. And there are too many distractions with the touch screens
Even if people aren't looking at their phones while driving other crap is going on inside their heads.. and obviously it's always been like that.. but for some reason these days it's so much worse. I drive all day everyday for a living and every once in awhile I will be weird and look over at cars passing me so I can count how many people are on their phones.. sometimes it can get up to five people in a row maybe.. it's usually women on their phones too.. usually women in most of the accidents and causing most.
Was not expecting a steve hofstetter cameo
Lots of crazy drivers in this one.
5:56 that car really said “hello their”
6:30 damn thats a lot of damage
2:26 What up Ruston driver! Instantly recognized my town haha!
😂 Whats up! That was me getting rear ended. People cant drive in Louisiana. This truck has been rear ended twice in 2 years 🤦🏻♂️. Im currently in a lawsuit because of this accident.
I shouldn't be excited about this but 1:01 this is my daily commute, this is where I live. I've been watching this channel for what feels like at least a year....way too excited to see something from Humboldt County California on here. :)
The road rage in this video is exactly why I'm considering switching to public transport more often.
0:52 woah look at how those clouds look
2:05 is literally 2 minutes from my house. 🤣
11:32 Son of Robot
Always like when I recognize music from a niche subgenre I like
I couldn't remember what song it was, I was searching through mothership thinking it was off that album lol
I hate going down tight streets, particularly ones with cars parked on them. A car crossing over/into the road is difficult to avoid.
3:20 Yeah, the semi had insurance, but wait until the insurance company finds out what it's going to cost to fix the "minor" damage to a 1981 DeLorean.
10:20 sounds like Jim Halpert 😅
Pickup trucks. Always pickup trucks. If you have a lousy driving record you should lose the right to drive a pickup. If you get a ticket while driving a pickup the fine should be doubled. Like it is on many highways for tractor trailers, the speed limit should be lower for pickups vs passenger vehicles (10 less for tractor trailers is typical; 5 less for pickups would be good).
I know, right? Bloody-damn pickemup drivers, with their bloody-damn-pickemup-driver shenanigans. That's why they're #4 on The List, with the prospect of moving up to #3 once attrition takes out enough of the cars that currently share the #3 spot.
Pickup drivers already ignore speed limits everywhere else; you think they're going to abide by them having a *lower* limit on the freeway? You'd be more delulu than them.
9:45 Great job! Perfect camera footage and got that license plate #. You did that Jeep driver a serious solid.
1:12 Clearly floors it to try and keep the truck from going around what a douche.
3:30 not a DeLorean T-T
5:16 Why take a photo of the numberplate when you know it's on dashcam?
To make sure there’s a couple ways to get the plate number.
easier to find later
I thought Teslas were supposed to have that fancy schmancy hypersonic braking... what happened?
You mean AEB? Automatic emergency braking. I am also confused. It is supposed to have it
6:19 hope your shoulder turned out okay DJ Syko
8:31 that happens everyday a thousand times over, you need to be more alert.
5:38 All that technology and the piece of junk still plows into the car in front of it. 🤦♂
6:45 glad you are OK, but it's painful to lose that nice-looking 4th-gen Accord.
0:15 i read school and i did think the camera car did go fast not as fast as the other one mind you XD
8:03 na a bad driver NEVER misses his exit XD
Steve Hofstetter not on his own channel for a change. Awesome performer!
It's driving me crazy but what is the song in the 0:45 marker? I know it but it just isn't coming to me😖😅
0:48 Why does this look like a horror movie?
I asked this before on another video: does double solid lines (white or yellow) mean the same everywhere? If yes, second clip needs a ticket in the mail. Even though they didn't hit, they did break the law.
What does he mean the hit and run driver “ pretty sure nothing happened to him” did not file a police report?
8:30
Areas like that are why I don't accept the "crossing solid white line" finger pointing.
The lane was dashed for maybe 100 feet before you physically had to merge. Are you safely checking your blind spot, matching the speed of existing traffic, and executing the merge in the to 1¼-second window that dashed line gave you?
1:02is that literally eureka CA USA btw it kinda looks like it
It 100% is, i live here and drive on this part of the 101 every day to get to work. It's right at one of the edges of old town.
@@brigzbee2303 ok

0:20 That driver should be found and never allowed to drive again.
7:48 I had an accident at that exact spot lol!
Wow, these incredible moments truly showcase the amazing things that can happen in life! From close calls to unexpected events, it's amazing to see how lucky some people can be
I tell ya. People who flee the scene of an accident they're involved in should be charged with a felony.
what do you get when you combine
What I find interesting is how many times the windshield wipers turn themselves on after a crash.
0:44 Another splendid view of the ricochet effect. 5:54 😱😱😱
Left turns are so incredibly difficult for many people
I thought Teslas have automatic emergency braking and swerve if the detect a possible crash
3:14 how can you see with that thing?
See what?

Hellooo
2:18 he didn't see what happen? He literally reacted to the accident and then mentioned the tire was probably going to cause ANOTHER accident. I don't get it.
He heard it and saw it as it happened immediately as he heard the sound of the crash. He didn't watch it take place. Most people don't see these crashes take place in real time. It's only when they see the video later they see the whole thing.
0:20 TRUCK AIRPLANE?
10:20 here's a line for ya, " I'm sorry for being in Your Lane, before you got here !"
11:32 son of robot
@1:07 I hate it when big trucks bully their way into a lane, but I would say blame is 50/50 even with the dashcam footage.
Clearly not. That is 100% on the truck's fault. Improper lane change, and no signaling.
If you listen to the engine sounds, it seems like the cammer was pedal to the metal trying to block the other guy.
@@mikesmith-po8nd that doesn't make the cammer guilty. you are not entitled to a lane change.
@@VoodooV1 Yes, which is why it would be 50/50. The truck is to blame for making the lane change and the other guy for trying to prevent him from doing it... thus adding to the possibility of the accident. Personally, I think both should lose their license. They are going to kill someone some day racing to the red lights like that.
@@101perspectivenot true at all 100% on truck even if he was trying to block him truck is fully responsible for failing to yield and could’ve waited like you are supposed to to merge over
10:16 - It appears that dashcam is mounted inverted (Note the date/time and other info at the upper right). I expect it is one meant for window mounting placed on the dash instead. Out of all the dashcams I've had my hands on, only one allowed for dashboard mounting.
7:02 W song
Cammer @5:24 should've been paying attention more. Car ahead of them has their brake lights on for a solid 3 seconds while cammer is speeding up before they hit the brakes. They had plenty of time and room to brake, which would've given them more space to NOT hit the car in front of them. Then has the gall to say the car behind them wasn't paying attention. They were much closer than you than you were to the front car, and had even LESS time to react to you. If you reacted earlier, they likely would've noticed sooner, and been able to slow down.
that doesn't matter, the only one responsible for how far behind you another car is is the car behind you. If the car behind want distracted/ following at the correct distance they would have plenty of time to stop. If you rear end a car because it braked fast you are too fucking close to it ends of story. Cammer is not at fault for being rear ended and it's incredibly stupid to say they are.
@@gwenyurick9663 Cammer is not at fault but the late braking definitely exacerbated it. When you brake late and thus have to brake harder, you give people behind you even less time to react safely - that's just a statement of fact.
2:15 The red car was _not_ speeding. The minivan was going the same speed as the red car. This is the truck's fault, 100%.
0:46 looks like he was going to go around the guy in front, on the right, but he started to move over, and he over corrected.
11:20 Why the hell are you blaming the victim?
Plate on the Toyota 😅 kuk.
4:00ish
What 'clear signs'? There's one before the intersection that just says both lanes can turn left, but absolutely nothing in sign or road marking for whether both lanes stay inside or stay outside. Going from 2 lanes to 3, you can make arguments for either.
When two lanes are turning left, the very left turn lane must turn into far left lane. Left hand turners from the inside turn lane can turn into either middle or right lane. At least that’s what I was taught 🤷🏻♀️
@@kaitlynhart5084exactly...
3:28. Rear ended by the semi truck.. of course he had insurance on that 18Wheeler. It’s the law and the DOT actually enforces that law, unlike all the 4Wheelers out there driving around with no insurance
It seems with the American crash videos that a lot of them are intentional.
People are stubborn a..es.
2:13 If the red car was found to be driving recklessly it may be found at fault in that situation.
4:08 I know that area very well, cammer should be at fault because they were in a right turn only lane. Monroe is a very tricky street, mostly getting to Henderson (where they are at)
Did not expect to see Steve Hofstetter at 10:15 haha. Check him out if you haven't heard of him before!
I tell my kids you’re not driving for you, you’re driving for everyone else around you. If you see an idiot, let them have it. They wanna be in a rush let them go. It’s not worth the 2 seconds you may encounter them. Chances are you’ll never see them again. The cammer at 1:20 should have heeded that advice as well. Let go of that pride and ego.
3:00 Is the line of traffic waiting to get off highway but truck wasn't going to join the end of it and expected to be let in further down? Then doesn't indicate its intentions until it stops leaving cammer stranded in live lane behind it. If so, cammer didn't help himself closing down gap when he might have been able to move over a lane had he kept that gap. Doesn't exonerate semi but cammer need not have been there if truck had just joined line instead of jumping it and had cammer read the road, was aware of hazards and kept the gap. A culmination of bad choices, no hazard awareness by trucker or cammer and ending with semi driver not paying attention.
At 3:58 the cammer's at fault he didn't turn on his lane right?
I wondered the same and went back to look. He's in a left-or-right lane, but given how everyone is in the left-only lane, I bet the local custom is to leave that one for right turns.
@@StephanieLenz71 Not even, he pulled into the middle lane from the far right. If you look close, the road he turns into is 3 lanes (at least I think it is), so the cammer is entirely at fault.
@@Dimumouto When two lanes turn into three, the inside turn lane goes into the left lane and the outside turn lane goes into the middle lane. Cammer was right.
@@Dimumouto Oh yeah after the turn he did. But the lane he was in before turning wasn't right-only. He's 100% at fault here.
@@StephanieLenz71Look closely the ( right lane ), is for right or left turn. The lane when you turn into becomes three lanes. So left turning lane should stick to far left when turning. As for right turning lane, you can either turn right into the middle lane or far right lane. I hope this doesn't confuses you because apparently a lot of people do.
