    Do you lubricate anything other than the bushing?

    In another video you posted about assembly, he says "make sure it is tight" about the ring/collar, and clearly makes it pretty snug. On this video, it appears to be set almost loose. Can we get some clarity on this?
    Too tight can cause the blades to bind and gall each other. Too loose will cause poor cutting as meat/gristle get forced in between the blade set.

      Tighten down finger tight and then back off slightly. There is a sweet spot you will be able to feel shown in the video at 3:30. This adjustment ensures proper function of the full head assembly. You are right that too tight will put extra wear on the components. Too loose and the ring can work itself off.

    So now I have to go to the store to buy lubricant to even use this?? That’s pretty ridiculous.

      Lubricating the bushing is not required just recommended. We do, at minimum, recommend popping the bushing out to clean it along with the rest of the pieces of the head before first use. All of the additional cleaning devices and lubricants featured in the video are just helpful tools for general upkeep but are not necessary to run the grinders. Thanks for taking the time to reply to our video.

    Shame on this company!! I paid $500 for a meat grinder that can't even be used till I go to the hardware store and buy a 1in dowel!!!! Include it in the damn box you fools!

    • @LEMProducts1
      @LEMProducts1  Před 2 lety

      A dowel rod is not required it is just an example as the bushing barrel is 1 inch in diameter. Any non marring object can be used to pop it out. Thanks for the comment!

    Pretty disappointed buying this product. The fact that this stuff is not in the directions like taking out the bushing, is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. And now I can't figure out how far back it needs to be where the plate should sit if it's okay that it sticks out some or if I need to be on the bush anymore, but the shoulder looks flush. Spend all this money on this and I need to get grinding and I'm screwing around trying to figure out taking out putting in a bushing lubricating it, and whether or not I've got it back together right or not.

      Proper seating depth is shown in the video. Just give the auger stud a good few whacks with a rubber mallet and it should be seated. Nothing more technical than that. If the auger heats redo the procedure. Thanks for your response!

    Psych. There are no stores near me so now I have to go buy my dog regular dog food and wait until next week to make his food for the month. It’s so clear that Men are running this company. Bro it’s not that hard to include a one time packet to use upon assembly. The tiniest amount of forethought would save a lot of frustration
