Fat Bottomed Girls is an anthem to body positivity. While some may find it a bit crass it's in no way disparaging to anybody. This song made news recently by a political group making false claims about it being canceled. In reality a kids streaming service (made for kids as young as 3 years old) called Yoto removed it from their service. More Please. Peace/JT

Yes Mo, Queen have a great variety in their songs. Some are poppy, some go in the direction of disco. I for one like their rocky stuff. Hammer to fall for example is a banger.

The line "get on your bikes and ride" is referring to another song on the same album called "Bicycle Race" which was also a hit for Queen.
Both tracks were released together as a "double A side" (back in the days when 45 inch singles had a side A and a side B).

Unapologetic, not mean spirited in the least, and just a simple great song. But sometimes, people get overly sensitive about topics related to "body shaming", which is the complete opposite of what this song is about - a celebration, not a cancellation.

It makes me absolutely sick with all this canceling crap. They should cancel whoever is doing the canceling because it’s stupid. How can a song be canceled? Everybody loves this song so they will listen to it whenever they want. How can you cancel an actor or a singer? Millions of people are still going to like whatever is being canceled and they will always get work and they will always be popular.

Mo, my speculation about the song being “canceled” is because it discusses a boy being sexually assaulted by an adult woman (his nanny). I am sure that is why this song is on anyone’s radar today. And yes, I am sure this was a video synch of concert footage with the audio track from the album. But their harmonies were just as good in concert footage, and the drummer, Roger Taylor, often sang harmony while he drummed. Queen was the best!
