Thanks for showing that. I bought the same thing and couldn't find out what I had to do. Yes, i thought I'm going to have to drill it, hoping I didn't have to. I'm glad to see you did it and it works. Great job buddy.

I have a 2013 FHLTP Electra glide police bike. It is almost identical to an Electra glide standard. Same problem with no holes. This video was super helpful! Thanks.

Yes they do sale them with the holes already in the lol but like you said the trick is knowing the name on the parts. I believe it's called "strut cover/trim" not 100% sure but that's my winter project for the bike I just got

It’s because when you buy the kit from Harley it comes with new plates that have the holes. That’s why it’s $600 for that kit from Harley.

Yeah i just bought the harley one, when he said $100 to $150 I was like I fucking wish 😂. The harley one has like 2 big bags of hardware so this didn't help much...

I hate that you had to drill it, but you did a great job!

My FLHTCUSE7 has been converted to a quick detach. Those stock chrome frame covers are for a fixed tour pack. HD sells a different set for the quick detach. Street Glide frame covers fit an Electra Glide perfect, and they're already punched out for the quick detach.

@@FloridaCrackerKustoms Have you watched the video on how to deal with the wiring harness? Do a YT search for: "Detachable Harley Tour-Pak. What to do with all of those wires." I used it as a guide, but I used Deutz DT closed barrel connectors instead of the open/stamped connectors he used.

Does it fit on the inside then if I switch to the streetglide sides ?? Why are the drilled ones on outside, wouldn't that throw off the width of the dock points ??

Do you remember the drill bit size that you used for the hole?
