That’s funny I feel the same way. What the point no tour pack of its ugly. I’m trying to figure out a way of removing the grab bar at least and adding fender extension with fillers to make this work as a naked rear end when the tour pack is off. Man those triangle bracket are ugly. lol. There’s gotta be some other designed kit out there

I have a question. I currently have a 2007 street glide that came with a detachable chopped tour pack. I've upgraded my saddle bags to the 14 and up style. Now with my tour pack installed I can not open my saddle bag lids. Any suggestions.

I’m looking for the rear tail light lens that put light on plate on the relocate place on bottom
So can you mount a detachable backrest on the same docking system for use when not using the tour pack??
I have fillers on my 06 ultra. Also thinking of changing those over with a aftermarket fender extension. And looking at a bracket to remove the grab handle. Looking at the triangle bracket to the rear for docking it appears I’m going to run into custom cutting. Have you done an install or come across changing over old ultra with fillers. I’m trying to make the bike look more naked with the tour pack off yet adding the brackets and not removing the grab bar defeats the purpose of removing the tour pack because all these brackets look ugly without the pack on. Don’t mean to babble I think I might be running into more problems to solve once I get into a rebuild as usual plus I don’t want to waste money on unnecessary parts I found a grab handle eliminator bracket online and need to incorporate that piece into the mix. Don’t mean to ramble on but I love watching your videos and value your expertise option. What might you suggest or what do you think…know what I’m saying!

Will the newer style mounting bracket work with the docking hardware for the 97-08's? I'm asking because I bought a complete tour pack but it has the newer mounting bracket. I still need to order the docking hardware but didn't know if I needed the older style mounting bracket. And if I do have to order the older bracket, will it mount just the same to the tour pack itself?
I have been researching the quick detach for my 2008 ultra classic. All of the rear hardware mounts I have found say they won’t fit an ultra classic. Do you know of any that do?

You will have to cut the wires and splice in quick connect terminals. Not that hard
Great video.....I have a docking station on the my RK now that works for the backrest (small one) I would like to leave that in place and install the second docking station for the tour pack. Can that be done.?? Can I have both docking stations for when I want just the small back rest or take it off and add the tour pak..

What about Relocating the schrader valve for your air shocks? Where my instructions showed to move it to, the bracket is too thick to allow the air pump to screw in and push in on the needle. I have to remove it from the bracket in order to add air. Am I missing something here?
Can this be made to work on a 1995 electraglide ?? Will thios system work with a detachable backrest as well as detachable tour pack ??

What are the rectangle hols in the rear vertical fender bracket for ? I have asked probably 200 people in the last 15 years, I've read all kinds of literature, I've looked at ALOT of bikes, trying too figure out what that hole is for. Please, if you know of have a idea what it is for let me know. It's been driving me crazy for many years.
Theres no way to remove the seat without removing the trunk after this is added. Is there a "Hack" for that?? The amp is mounted under the tour pak on my 99' preventing this from being an easy fix......

no you will still need to use the 08 and older tour pack mounting bracket

Backrest mounts to the top of your shock and first two points on the system nearest the fender

The NEW Lic plt brkt came with my kit but i bought mine at HD.

We got this one on with no issues...this was actually a buddy of mines bike...been riding it pretty hard since this video with no issues and he has a passenger about 80% of the time.
So is this your kit or just the China made kit?
Why can’t Harley use the quick release set up for the back rest for the tour pack too . Instead of using that extra chrome piece? It’s not very good looking with that elbow looking thing looks terrible
If you relocate your plate you can cut the tubing back where it meets the chrome cover and buy 3/4" chrome plug caps to put on the cut tubing
