Totally agree. I really appreciate Ken and Mickey and everyone else on the broadcast team. And I have high standards/hopes that wings podcasts will be the same. And it is! There is nothing like Red Wings fans that love talking Red Wings hockey!!!

I doubt they’d mix anything up when it’s going so well. At most maybe 1 call up if any contracts like a D man are moved at the deadline and they didn’t bring in a replacement

If Pettersson doesn't sign in VAN, I think they'd be more inclined to let him get an offer sheet. As for ads on sweaters, I hate 'em. Those were always sacred spaces to me, and I always took a little extra pride in the Wings not having one.
We are certainly on a wonderful run, However, I would really like to see them pick-up a really good D-man. Holl is not even playing and Petry still looks pretty bad on most nights.

My biggest question right now is what happens to the roster next season with Kane, Seider, Raymond, and ALL of the UFAs and RFAs we have. We have great chemistry, depth, and a diverse skill set but everyone will want (and deserve) a raise but we don’t have the cap space.

My prediction for the Atlantic if the Red Wings continue their dominant ways then it'll be 1. Panthers 2. Boston 3. Detroit 4. Toronto 5. Tampa. The wing against Washington couldn't have come at a better time, Toronto, Tampa and NJ all lost that night. If they can crush it through March then it's gonna be pedal to the floor momentum.

The Tigers added an advertisement to their jerseys last year for Meijer. It's not hideous, but I wish we could have some small space in the world that isn't making money for someone who doesn't need it.

I think he was always thought to be the better player, including at time of respective drafts. I think we're just now starting to see Raymond realize his true potential.

Preventing the jersey patch from staying long term would be as simple as the fan base collectively coming together and boycotting the team. Not gonna happens obviously, but that's really all it would take.
That's why they jumped on doing it right now when they've become can't miss TV for the fans. It really does suck, there are so many ads I don't see what one more can possibly do. I would sign a petition to take the ads off the jersey and helmets, I watched the old 2008 cup win recently and the Red Wings text on the helmet looked so nice.
It will never happen, but it just sucks, if I had enough money I would pay them to sign a contract banning ads on the jersey forever.

The Calgary Flames traded veteran defenseman Chris Tanev to the Dallas Stars for a 2024 second-round pick, a conditional 2026 third-round pick and prospect Artem Grushnikov, the teams announced. The Flames are retaining 50 percent of Tanev’s cap hit and salary. Calgary only receives Dallas’ 2026 third-round pick if the Stars advance to the 2024 Stanley Cup Final. If that doesn’t happen, no conditional pick will be transferred.

I'd say replace Sandin Pellikka with Wallinder and replace that 2nd with another 1st and I think it gets it done. May have to give up Kasper over Veleno, though.

Hi Guys - love you and what you do, but how about a full apology to Stevie Yzerman for all the criticism you gave him for many of the free agent signings he's made these last few seasons. Even Chariot and Copp are playing pretty good hockey.
Ah, you don’t have to like everything he’s done. Copp is a pretty good 3C but grossly overpaid and Holl looks like a buy out candidate, same with Husso. He’s had more really good signings than not though.
