20 Minute Barre Inspired Full Body Strength Workout | Continuous | Barreless | Dumbbells & Mat

  • Grab a set of dumbbells (around 5 lbs) for this continuous 20 minute barre inspired full body strength workout. We combine traditional dumbbell strength exercises with a barre-like flair during this quick metabolic total body workout. This is NON STOP. We have 22 exercises today. Each exercise is performed for 60 seconds each. With about 15 seconds to go, there will be a demo in the upper left-hand corner of your screen. Once you hear that "ding" we've switched to a new exercise. If needed, rest/pause and continue to rep it out once you feel recovered. Minimal cues today. This is a total body workout with a special emphasis on shoulders : ) Skip to 1:45 to bypass intro and begin.
    For a bodyweight warm-up, perform:
    Bird/dogs x 12
    Modified plank shoulder tap x 12
    Slow BW squats x12 (pause at bottom)
    complete two rounds

    We are working out to 130 BPM. I dub the music over what I'm listening to, so the 8-count beat may be a little off.We are moving at a certain tempo, but if needed slow it down. Find a tempo that you can maintain. You do not have to go at my speed, everyone is unique!

    Thank you for this. I started out with three pound weights and quickly dropped down to 2 pounders. And moved slowly. Great workout - I feel it now, and am sure that I'll feel it tomorrow as well! I've been enjoying your miniband workouts and thought I'd try one with dumbbells. This did not dissapoint!

    This was challenging! I have a medical foot condition and can't Jump. However, still managed to finish till the end! Even though, I had to take several breaks in between. The songs were lit, from the getgo. Calming in between pain! Thanks Larie for these workouts!🥵🔥👍🙂

    this was fantastic! i really like it because there weren't too many props needed (just optional weights and a yoga mat). you have other videos that I'd love to do, but i don't have the equipment at home (like the weight bench).

    This was harder than I thought! I used no weight at some points and took breaks. I was sweating by the end! Love these workouts! My aim is to get more lean and I am taking a break from heavier lifting.

    Great workout! Is there a modification for the Spider-Man move? Still postpartum so working on strengthening the core with proper engagement at all times and have an old spinal fusion (cleared to work out ).

      Hey Nikki! Congrats on your newest bundle of joy. I would ditch the Spider-Man’s and any front loading position like a plank for now! Instead, flip it to the back. I would replace it with deadbugs for now. Keep a neutral spine and focus on connection to your deep core (transverse abdominal muscles).
