But there's no shortage of things to rant about from rapid inflation that continues to ask the working man to make the most sacrifices while your host doesn't have the highest of hopes for the results of the impending gun control laws. Lewis in the last 5 years starting at the age of 42 I have had a stroke, Lymes Disease, Gran Mal Seizure, Staph infection, tinnitus and I just love your rants!! Thanks for all you do and your perspectives on life!! I am back to 90% and working 50hours per week and so exhausted of this political bullshit on both sides.

I cannot help but wonder if the founding fathers of your country expected the ratio of "filthy, stinkin' rich" and "stupid beyond belief" to reach these ridiculous proportions. Yes, I’m on disability income that isn’t enough to get near through a month. In Canada so at least I don’t have to worry about medical care. Some of the rich people who harp on me for collecting my monthly stipend are unbelievable. Some hint that I could get work at things that are equivalent to being a doorstop. They bitch that their hard earned money is taxed at all and specifically to support the handicapped!
I will see you and raise you ten fold.

You haven't gotten a raise in 6 YEARS! Tell your bosses that while they go on their vacations, they can take this job and shove it up their asses. 5 or 6 vacations a year! I haven't been on a vacation since 2018. So I would quit that job, if I were you.

Why is this an important fact?
"The Divine Right of Kings" was what gave British monarchs the absolute imprimatur to do whatever bloody thing they wanted to do without criticism or limit. Their rule was not of law, but of a man or of a woman.
However, after Charles 1's head was mowed off, the authority of Parliament gradually increased and the power of the monarch gradually dwindled. Until Charles 1's execution, the monarch's absolute right and power over all was unchallenged. After that, it continually diminished until the early 20th century, when the British monarch become what it is today and since George V (King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, and Emperor of India, from 6 May 1910 until his death on 20 January 1936), essentially no more than quaintly ceremonial.
Punishing Charles1 to his death was crucial for this republican development and may not have occurred but for it.
When Nixon went unpunished no such development as took place in England commenced in the United States. The "Divine Right of Presidents" which has never officially been a thing, but which has stealthily lurked behind that Office, remains until this very day.
This, I think, is the only reason why Trump has not yet faced indictment by the Department of Justice as he so richly and justly deserves for the myriad crimes he and his cohorts have committed against the U.S. No President has ever been indicted so, therefore no President can ever be indicted. Well, that is what some Believe, anyway, including, I'm afraid, A.G. Merrick Garland, a seemingly decent man, but a thoroughgoing institutionalist.
If Justice is to prevail and this too-long lived awe of the Presidency is come to its just end, the A.G. will perforce have to overcome this serious limitation of mind and prosecute Trump as he would any other American who committed even the smallest fraction of what Trump so clearly has an continues to. Does the A.G. truly believe that no one is above the law?
We will see.

It was hot, weather wise, in Ohio last week. I went to a battery store, well the battery in my garage door opener was dead. In the parking lot, a person is sitting in a BIG SUV with the WINDOW OPEN, A/C (you could hear it) and engine running because he didn’t want to go into the store and wait with their travel companion. WTF! Gas is at $5+/gallon. Don’t bitch to me about gasoline prices!

the only thing I have to look forward to aside from moving from one crappy apartment complex to yet another crappy apartment complex in late July, for the 4th god damn time in a row, is seeing in theaters tomorrow the 40th anniversary screening of John Carpenter's The Thing. the fact that we continue to get bombarded by poor quality entertainment by woke Hollywood 85% of the time, it should be a privilege to get to see a classic in theaters again, one of the best films ever made by one of the best directors we've ever had. movies like this are meant to be seen in a theater, not on a tiny screen that we continue to waste our brain cells on every single day.

We can’t even build pipelines within our own country to move the oil around. Quebec doesn’t want oil tankers in the St Lawrence river. Natives don’t wait it built through some of their land so it can’t get to the BC coast. If we were smart, we would build a refinery; but we’re not!

Lewis et al, skip the cook outs and consider for just a second why the US is what it is, and you'll save mucho on frustration therapy bills. the US is built this way. it cannot do better. If citizens understood why this is so they could then consider what needs to be done.
