this is so awesome. you're really well spoken and i think you should have more subs.
I just got a gamecube, but unfortunately i dont have the second sd2 slot so i need to get an AR but they're nearly impossible to find and the ones i can find are like $300 bucks.
Any suggestions?
Thank You!
I’m using the “basic” Action Replay, that’s the only one I have. It’s the one that is squally listed the cheapest, comes with built in codes and region-free loader. I bought this thing forever ago, and even back then, I couldn’t get a deal on Action Replay Max or SD Loader. It’s one of those things that ballooned so high. I’d say scrub through eBay, you may find a seller who has listed a little lower. I got a Nintendo Brand WiiU Pro Controller that way, got it for far less than the average, just a lucky listing. Other than that, I would definitely suggest trying to seek out physical game shops near you. The one that is nearest to me has some of the Action Replay devices for very low prices compared to other sources, but they don’t do online sales normally, but sometimes turn it on. They are called Video Game World.
@@RetroBoost thanks for the quick reply!
yeah, im sort of at a loss unless i can find one.
I basically just need the old AR disk and i can get a memory card with the sd reader memory card and i should be good to go.
There's some loose AR disks on amazon for like 80 bucks, but the condition is questionable.
I managed to find an old copy of windwaker i had, and found someone selling the hacked windwaker memory card, so thats probably going to be my first avenue i explore for this lol
Does this version have a debug menu in Smash bros melee?
No, this one has built in codes for each game. For SSBM, the only codes are for unlocking the characters and trophies. Action Replay Max is the more intense version that had the ability to add codes, giving it more versatility, but it is the way way more rare and expensive version.
I have a question on the action replay disk that you have does it have cheat codes for the 2003 teenage mutant ninja turtle game
I just popped it in and checked, yes it does!
@@RetroBoost That’s awesome!!! thank you so much for checking I might get one did it have the infinite health cheat code?🙂
@@RetroBoost Does the action replay gamecube disc also have inside swiss or do I have to download that separately ?
Never messed with Swiss, so I am not sure. I’ve wondered that though, I’d imagine it probably wouldn’t work since it requires swapping discs to start. So even if there was a digital backup of it, I don’t see how you’d be able to simulate that process.
What if u have a modded wii will it still work
I can’t say for sure, but I don’t see why not. The Action Replay Disc I’m using here in a GameCube disc. It loads as a GameCube game, you enter the codes, then swap discs to the game you are going to play. It’s the “basic” Action Replay version. As long as your Wii can handle GameCube discs. You should be good.
Do you have a memory card while playing on the Wii?
I bounce between using a real memory card and using USB Loader to sim one. My long term plan is to buy another MemcardPro and use it for my Wii.
with the action replay all you get is a disc right. also does it have pokemon colosseum with Masterball cheat main reason i want one
This one is the just the disc, with built in codes. There is a different rarer one that you can add codes to. This one does have all the normal cheats you’d want to see for Pokémon Colosseum too, including having 999 Master Balls, though why one person would want such power….frightening haha
@@RetroBoost hahaha so i just put the disc in and activate codes correct. main reason is to shiny hunt in colosseum. best method is without emulator is. a Japanese game/console with bonus disc to get early masterball that can easily cos you like 400 to 450$ AUD without shipping. so i figured this would be a bit more legit then emulating since its same thing if u get a jpns bundle to get it going
That is correct you put in the disc and turn on the console like any other game, then choose the codes for the game you want. Sometimes it won’t work, you may just have to try multiple times. I forgot where, but I know I showed that in this video or the second part.
Mine doesn't work anymore on my Wii which is normal and unmodded and doesn't even have Homebrew. Idk why. I set my cheats for a game, try to switch discs and it just never loads up.
UPDATE: 5 minutes after I wrote that comment, I tried doing the switcheroo of the discs faster like u were doing and it worked. So, u can ignore that comment.
Yeah that’s a probably that I have sometimes. It wants an expeditious disc swap haha. Even then it can still sometimes fail though, sometimes it’ll take a few attempts.
@@RetroBoost Plus, it's slower on Wii cuz' it slowly slides in.
Is that Australia? Idk I suck at geometry
It makes me sad nobody liket this video but me
thanks for the like and the support! It is appreciated!
