  • It's now been 18 months since fitting the 4 place Equipment Trimmer Rack, 18 months of Queensland's blistering sun, torrential rain, and everything between.
    How have they held up?
Ben takes a look at the racks, the mounting points, the engine supports, and the all-important combination locking system.

I got a 3 tier rack, there good quality..bit tricky to fit on my trailer. But worth the effort . You need them for ease of use and security…

I would prefer the option to bolt the engine supports on the side of the tubing …because this would make it easy to fit to a cage trailer whilst still being able to place brackets on the upper tubing for support and securing…

Been using the three tier rack for three summers. You are right these things are engineered very well. No problems with it.

Are the mounts into the wall of the trailer adjustable up and down?

not the wall mounts. Only the optional foot mounts are adjustable

I have an idea, would like your comments on it.
Is to have a lock with some kind of proximity detector, the sensor is around the size of a twenty cent coin and sits on your key ring, so the main lock only has a button and you press when you are close say with in 2 metres which releases the lock. Is much quicker, which suits me as I would have to lock and unlock everytime I go into a back yard for 20- 30 minutes on literally every single job.
And or have an option where you can keep the numerical lock as well and a switch to go from proximity button to the dial numbers, just a safety thing if lost keys or other workers use the lock? Thoughts.

You can dummy lock these just with a lever. Then use the combination for overnight etc.

@@CatchProAustralia Just cheching back does that mean if some one knows how this lock process works then they can open the lock then in that dummy mode.
