Really good install video. Thanks.
Great video, the longer bolt that’s for the rail is for trailers that are like pipe or 2” rail. I hope that helps.
Bro ur on point. Happy cutting.
Hey, man love the video may I ask what are those steel things on the trailer deck for? Tying down things?
Yes, those are called X-Track. I can put special tie downs and other things like that in there. It’s really helpful and they also sell a cheaper version called E-Track. SUBSCRIBE!!!
Do the racks come with adapter for round tube trailers?
In the kit there’s an adapter so the racks go on the outside of the trailer and there’s an adapter so they can go inside an enclosed trailer wall. There is nothing specific for a round tube application, but all you’d need to do is get some longer bolts for the rails so that the bolt would penetrate all the way thru the tube. Hope this helps and if you have any more questions let me know. SUBSCRIBE!!!
I know you posted this 6 months ago but you could also use a Riv Nut when attaching it to round tube makes for a cleaner install. I purchased a kit off of Amazon and I have used it numerous times on projects.
Nice job.
Do you really trim with handlebars?
Thanks… and Yep! I love trimming with handlebars! I do it because 1 it’s what I’m used to and 2 it takes the stress out of my arms so I don’t fatigue myself throughout the day. Thanks for watching! SUBSCRIBE!!!
Nice Vid!
Thanks!
@@joshsrcscan this be used a a steel trailer?
Don’t see why not
Good job. You make it look so easy lol. I notice that you have the trimmer rack on the passenger side instead of drive. Any reason for doing that way?
Thanks! Typically I park on the right side of the road. So with the racks on the passenger side I don’t have to get close to the traffic.
How much weight does the locking blocks add? Are they heavy? Thanks
not much at all. Maybe 5 lbs.
@@joshsrcslol definitely not 5 lbs, prob 5-7 ounces
What did you mean by locking block? The whole mechanism or just the lock itself?
lol I should of added the two pieces you attached in the trimmer that locks into the ranks. Ones a square shape @@joshsrcs
What if it is not perfectly even height after cutting? Are you screwed or is there leeway?
Measure twice, cut once. I’d just either sand or cut off length of the longer one until they’re even with each other. SUBSCRIBE!!!
@@joshsrcs just checked my truck landscaping bed and it has a angled edge on inside that would need cut and a lip on the bed that comes out an inch. Might be too much of a hassle to even see if it would work. Thanks for the reply 🙂
I’ve been watching a number of install videos for these things and each time I’m left asking; what’s to stop someone with a 6mm hex bit on a cordless drill from just taking the whole rack? After taking the whole thing you can take your time and remove the mounting blocks from the shafts to get the trimmers out. Equipment defenders my ass! All that money spent for a pair of metal legs drilled into your deck. 😂
While this is true, who tf walks around with a 6mm hex? As stated, you can fill the hexes with epoxy and cause some more trouble for would be thieves (now they have to bring a tiny scraper and blowtorch!) What’s really stopping someone from breaking into your house? Some puny lock and door hinges? Lemme just break out my lock picks real quick. It’s a deterrent ya little goofy goober. Sadly, if someone really wants your stuff they are going to get it.
@@joshsrcs Well you’d probably find a 6mm hex on someone with criminal intent. And the difference between quickly stealing several hundred dollars worth of equipment and breaking and entering a home is significant enough that the odds are favored for a quick steal. You did give a very good tip about filling the screw heads since adding barriers to slow a thief strengthens the security. Which is why i added I was surprised that a company with “defender” in their name has such a weak link in their system. My comment was more of a thanks for reaffirming that by pointing out the obvious. Didn’t mean for it to fly so far over your head that you’d resort to name calling though but I guess it doesn’t matter if any kind activity on your channel benefits you regardless. Thanks for the video, have a good one.
Goofy goober is name calling? The point of the racks is to deter theft, not to stop it. I thought of the exact same scenario… then I thought “eh whatever, screw it”. I just don’t get the purpose of bashing a successful company with a great product when there are others out there with the same flaws. Anyways, have a great rest of your life.
cordless grinder and zip off the bolt heads. Bikes are stolen all the time this way. Tack weld to the trailer frame to defeat thieves/jackasses.@@joshsrcs
Not worth it. Mine broke and caused me to lose a 700 dollar trimmer on the high way
More like the worst
How come?
@@joshsrcs instructions were terrible
Your comments are terribly unspecific.
Do you mean my instructions or the instruction manual?
@@joshsrcs no the instruction Manuel
Really? I thought the instruction manual was great and very descriptive. Truth be told there were no instructions on which specific bolts to use, but I easily figured it out. To each his own, SUBSCRIBE!!!
