I've been made aware of a potential issue with some of the cast aluminum engine supports. We take issues like this very seriously and have taken the following steps:
1. I've talked to my aluminum caster and we are changing the aluminum compound that these are made out of. The caster assures me this will take care of the issue.These will be done and complete in ~3 weeks. At which time no racks will be shipped out with the old un-updated castings.
2. Anyone that experiences an issue will be overnighted a replacement part at NO COST (shipping or product cost).
3. Anyone who experiences an issue will be given a lifetime warranty on the broken pieces.

I lucked out and have a allen set for my impact driver... but that is a great tip hacking off the allen key. Anyone who has put together just about any cheap furniture or random equipment should have a drawer of those.

Great video. Thinking about getting these; can you tell me how many inches do the trimmers stick out from the side wall of the trailer? Just trying to figure out how much the trimmers protrude into the trailer space with the mounting hardware.
dpan467 I have mine mounted on a 3/4 inch board so it sticks out to almost 10 inches. But that is all the way out to the end of the bracket that holds the weedeater. Hope that helps!
dude I'm lol now! I did the same thing when mounted the little blocks on the trimmer shafts. I have the green touch racks and I only see a few differences. some of the hardware and parts are identical. great review! still laughing though haha I did it too

I guess those pieces stay attached to the trimmers and those attached pieces then are what lock onto the rack? It would had been great to see a close-up on how those pieces lock into the rack. Also, could a thief bring a cordless drill and just unclamp those pieces off the trimmers to then take the trimmers? I guess that I need to see one up close?
Hey Perry, that is correct the aluminum blocks stay attached to the trimmer and that is what locks into the rack. As far as theft, no you can not just unclamp those pieces, as the bolts are facing the inside of the rack and they would not have access to them.

First things I would reinvest money on is reading glasses for the instructions on the locking mechanism. That literally had me laughing, and a knife sharpener or a new knife. The unboxing had me cringing. Might I suggest a CRKT Drifter or a Benchmade 556 Mini-Griptilian? My top two affordable EDC blades.

Nightmare to assemble. I wished I'd payed $75/hour for company to install. NIGHTMARE. Holes don't line up, combo lock does not work properly.
