Clearly you don't understand military. Must fully submit to authority... how else are you going to justify shooting innocent people and destroying counties on command
Thats the military for you, there is a hierarchy where you have to obey, it's the chain of command. Without it there would be no order. Regardless of what you think you can't sit there and disrespect your superiors by treating them like they're on your level. It's why they can chew your ass out and you have to sit there and take it cause you don't have the right to speak unless spoken to by your superiors. As for him by example, he was treating his superior like he was a joke at first no one too important he thought until he realizes who he's talking to. No one is special, we're all people treat each other with respect. Being upset someone doesn't know you is peak insecurity and reminds me of those celebrities when they're pulled over.
@imddalton3473 Bro this is the military. A military base. It is SUPER important to know who you're letting in. That's why they do checks. The fact he didn't know his commanding officers as a guard means he couldn't tell if someone was impersonating him. He literally put people at danger by not doing his job right. It's not about ego. It's about the weight and seriousness of guard duty on a military base. People target military bases even in the US. And putting your brothers and sisters in danger is something that has to be corrected. Or a lot of good people can die. Man will likely get a report or something. It won't be that bad but he will be corrected. As he should. If you can't take the responsibility of being in the military you shouldn't volunteer. And guard duty is one of the most important jobs of soldiers on a base. Everyone there relies on you for security and safety. Imagine if someone impersonated his boss cause he didn't know his face. Stole weapons and than took those weapons and sold them. Or maybe smuggled an ied into the base. The number of people either incident could kill is catastrophic. That's why it's important to be alert and aware as a guard. Lot of innocent people can be hurt by one negligent guard.
He was rude, the last part was cut off, but the soldier asks "are you not gonna salute me and say good day to you too?" The guy answers "No I wIlL nOt" extremely unpolitely
He's so cheerful soldier and respectful and very friendly but he's in a camp and there's leadership there ..maybe he's wrong for being casual and not recognize the vice commander but still salute you soldier for your hard work doing your job... I'm filipino salute sir
Yeah did ya not see how the kid reacted. He was one hundred percent in the wrong. The officer didn't go putting his own picture up for the sake of his ego. The base does that so this doesn't happen. Also we don't know exactly where this was. Maybe security isn't supposed to be so chill on a military base.

You can't talk to anyone above you how you talk to someone of your own rank.

At least he wasn't rude he was Soo nice and happy doing his job
