  • Replace the Clutch on a Yamaha Raptor 700: rmatvmc.link/clutch-replaceme...
    Does your clutch feel like it's slipping, chattering, or just not working correctly? It's most likely time to replace it, or at the very least, inspect the components for wear. So, in this video we show you the proper procedures on how to replace the clutch on this 2008 Yamaha Raptor 700. The steps shown will be similar for all year Raptor 700's but check your OEM service manual if you are unsure.

    Got to love that side cover gasket. Scraping that gasket off takes longer than replacing whole clutch. Nice to see a Raptor video. Thx

      Tell me about it. Thank goodness for COVID and working from home - I spent two hours in Skype meetings working on just the cover!!!

    Different thickness of pressure plates? For added pressure...... I own a nodded Yamaha raptor 770 I already have a Hinson clutch basket, and after market springs. Anything else too add a better hold? Guessing I'm pushing close to 80hp, I also have a plus 3mm intake and plus 2mm exhaust valves. Ect
    ... many extras....

      Your clutch was probably replaced before.....it's better without it and the half fibers and steels. I think 8 full fibers and 7 full steels is what you want instead

  • @mxthunder2
    @mxthunder2 Před 4 lety +3

    reminder - everyone should be replacing that half size fiber plate with a full size one and removing the retaining wire and the 2 large metal washers.

      Get a pro to replace ur clutch or follow this to the "T" ..tighten all bolts to spec. Get a torque wrench 🔧.
