  • There can be a number of issues as to why your Atv won’t start but in this particular situation we got power to the starter but it’s not cranking the engine.
    In this video we'll go over the proper procedures to inspect and/or replace the starter clutch on this 2002 Yamaha Warrior 350. The steps shown should carry over to years 02-04 Warriors , but be sure to check your OEM service manual if you are unsure.

    When the starter clutch is bad will the machine have spark or no spark?

    • @omarnajar5569

      this will cause no spark

    • @craziilegz

      As Omar najar explained, it will have no spark If your starter clutch is completely gone. Mine would sometime catch and spin the stator so spark would be intermittent.

    Hello I know this video is a couple of years old but I’m hoping you can help me out or somebody else in the comments. I have an 88 warrior that has been restored front to back almost every new part possible grounds are good new stator new timing chain/guides motor is timed correct new wiring harness, CDI correct for the year starter relay fuses, have a new start switch coming in today. The start switch does nothing when you click the button almost like the bike is dead but I know there is power and spark will run and drive with a bump start but will not stay running when it comes to a stop with the clutch pulled it. Clutch basket and disks look great no metal in oil everything spins freely. I have to assume at this point it is the one way bearing but I really do not want to tear the side cover off again for no reason. Please somebody help me lol!!!

    Every time I try to put the stator back in the motor the stator pulls out the flywheel and rear gear because of the flywheel magnet??

  • @deedadon7142

    So I rebuilt warrior 350. Put a new piston from amazon in it because it had a 5 star rating. Crankshaft spins fine, new timing chain and valve clearance is set properly. Once I install cam the motor only turn half way and stop forward or backwards. No spark plug is in it so it should spin freely but it’s not. I took the cam back out and noticed a deep scratch inside head like cam is too big to spin but it’s the original cam and was spinning fine before the rebuild. TDC is perfect so idk what else it could be to cause the original cam to not turn. Can someone give me suggestions please?

    • @craziilegz
      @craziilegz  Před 2 lety

      I apologize for the delay. I’ve been on vacation! I would double check the timing. I made the same mistake a couple of times rebuild my 200x. If that doesn’t solve the issue, I know it’s a hassle but return the piston to Amazon. I’ve also had faulty new carbs from them.

      As far as the star bits, if you’re having trouble taking them off try and heat them up with a torch. You want to get them nice and hot and find a bit that fits snug as well

      I know this post was from a while ago but another way to that I've done before is I have an impact gun so I always break them loose while it's on the bike and then just hand tighten them once you break them loose so when you pull it off they just thread out.
