And it makes me super happy to make it. It also feels good when other people can enjoy it. I don't say that out of arrogance. I say that out of love for what I do. The thing is, you can also love what you can do. It does not imply some warped sense of pride to show off your art. Nor does it take value away if that art seems simple to you. Doodles on an old sketchbook can be art. I think others can admire them. If you don't agree then fair but don't degrade people's art. Just make something.
Here's some more art that makes me happy. May it brighten your day: poets.org/poem/final-soliloquy-interior-paramour

@@boxcat2277You should go with it! You aren't born an artist, it's a skill you earn!
I believe you can make amazing artwork!
@@boxcat2277neither is he, literally hang up a string that is strong enough to hold up a paint can, literally no skill to this at all, get any color and just swing it
That should be in a museum
I don't understand why he's doing this when his floor is already a work of art.
I feel like "Painting" isn’t the right term. More like "waste of time, paint and energy into pulling an expressionless piece of whatever that is"
Most artists are recognised by their unique artwork, use of colour, perspective, contrast, skill, brushwork, ideas. And then there is this
art doesn't need insane skill to be art. stop gatekeeping. it's not a banana taped to a wall

To everyone saying that they could do this, or do it better... then do it! I'm serious, you should try it! You should experiment with it, add things if you'd like, make your own version with whatever you want. Ever seen paint pouring? I've done some myself, it's a fun art form that ends up looking really cool!
Art can use whatever method you want to use I think, as long as you're having fun making it.

We have a problem with people acting like this is an art.
@@kristof6472 art is up to interpretation, if someone says something is art, by all definition it is. However, at the same time if you personally don’t believe it is, that’s subjectively a fair opinion, I’m talking about people being obscenely rude to this man for just doing what he enjoys.
@@polarizing if i take a shit and say its art that dont make it art you tool
The problem people have is that this, to them, is the representation of the complete degradation of society as a whole. This man’s “art” shows no skill. This man’s “art” has no imagination. This man’s “art” is the result of a lazy, useless mind. People get mad because he is not just “doing what he loves”. He is putting out his “art” in the hopes of garnering likes and subscriptions to monetize himself by calling himself an artist. Which was once a title of meaning and hard work. Quite simply his “art” is objectively shit.

I am also artist and i do acrylic it took hours and hours to create a art but....
I have no words in today's so called Modern art. And i am proud that I choose the way how art is done.
I’m in the same boat, 2005 I was the art student chosen to paint on the 6ft x 3ft part of the wall, graduated with a full ride scholarship after spending the majority of my life learning and practicing. This paint swing is an exercise kids do to learn about the laws of physics in elementary school using a paper cup and string.

there are many ways to do art, the only thing that really makes it not art is when you're not the one doing it

Utterly amazing. The way the can spins around leaking the proper amount of paint is more science than art
exactly but same as michael angelo art is based in science and other matemathical ways to create so,, still keep some art in it, but, art is as it is, just art for who creates, its easy to be critic but, i just challenge all in this chat to make this.... and re think, their comments after make the effort , joy or not... mind will change

I remember when i was 10 my dad made a spin art machine, before they were even thought of. He used a sewing machine motor and a big wooden disc and a pedal to make it spin. Was so cool he brought it to my grade schools art fair, the line was endless, finally ran out of paper and had to shut down for that day. But the next two years people actually brought their own paper with them it was the main attraction.

@@Pillar_of_Salt I don't care if you wanna be all positive and empowering to pathetic people. He's pretending to be an artist while doing something anyone with hands can do. In fact many people do. I will never understand swinging paint, as if that's some magical form of art talent. And people playing into it are just enabling people to keep up with this crap and think they have talent.
It looks cool, they seem to enjoy doing it, and people enjoy watching it happen. If you only classify something as art because it has a deeper meaning and demonize things that exist purely because they're just fun, I encourage you to try engaging with artists you actually enjoy. No reason to watch something that's just going to make you act like a sourpuss when you could be having fun instead, right?
I always said the same about Jackson Pollock, but to each their own I guess...
if you are going after silly art this is not it. there is plenty of stupid stuff to choose from
It's not super hard to do it, and it just takes practice. It is like the spray paint planet art. Last year when that took off I gave it a whirl and made like 20 of them. Each one getting better and better, and I'm no fancy pants artist.
Sometimes these swing art make some cool patterns, just like the spray planets, and art is subjective. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
