  • Hello CZcamsrs.
    Let`s talk about testing and reviewing cameras and lenses on CZcams. Do you think that you can believe all the CZcams channels??? Unfortunately not. Mainly because they have an agreement with a company to review their products and in exchange they expect to say some things in the review. Anyway not all the CZcams channels are corrupted by this marketing bull s...t so there are some channels out there who gives you a true opinion.
    If you want to see some honest and uncorrupted opinion, well than you are on the right place because I am not a fan-boy of any brand and I have no agreement with any company. In the photography world everybody is talking about gear and cameras and lenses, this is kind of normal. We are kind of gear addicted and we want to buy new gear all the time.
    If you are interested in photography and in videography well then enjoy this video and if you like it please like and subscribe and share my videos . that is 100 percent right for instance all people are talking about sony (90% are paid ) ,I tried but in long run they are not good for long run this why I came back to trusty Canon

      Bilal Izaddin why is sony not good for the long run in your opinion?

    • @Bilalizaddin
      @Bilalizaddin Před 6 lety +1

      because the buffer sucks and when using high end lens it looks funny ,I went to mirrorless because of size but when putting good lenses it looses its purpose ,this is why I use fujifilm along with canon ,Canon for studio ,fuji with primes for outdoor

    • @dr.sommer5069
      @dr.sommer5069 Před 6 lety +1

      Bilal Izaddin you need a huge buffer for studio photography😂😂😂.
      And Fuji has a better "buffer" for outdoor 😂😂😂.
      Battery buffer or what😂😂😂

    • @BlueSkyPhotography
      @BlueSkyPhotography  Před 6 lety

      Bilal Izaddin I think that everyone can shoot with the camera of choice and they are OK. The truth is that Canon and Nikon system is more mature. But at the end of the day it is about personal preference and needs.

      Blue Sky Photography you are absolutely wright. Everyone should shoot with whatever he wants, but such an argument is just....
      If he only says that he likes canon more, no big deal.

    Sony "influencers" are a good example of what you describe. It is impossible that suddenly everyone will switch to Sony or magically they think that Sony is the best camera manufacturer in the world. Also, when their cameras have problems, nobody publishes them anywhere.

    • @BlueSkyPhotography
      @BlueSkyPhotography  Před 6 lety

      osomax osomax yes that sounds like Sony's marketing strategy. That's why I try to stay objective and neutral with all camera brands and I use multiple brands to see the difference between them.

    In my opinion tony northrup is one of the few honest camera reviewers.
    His review on the XH1 for example is very good.

      El Duderinho I agree but he did his own mistakes as well in the past. Although he is invited to every Sony event so that makes a bit questionable. Why Ken Wheeler is not invited would you have an idea??? 😂😂😂

    • @beegees21
      @beegees21 Před 6 lety

      @Attila I guess because he is out of his mind, I'd guess ;) And I'm saying this from a Fujifilm-user point of view, which I am.

    • @BlueSkyPhotography
      @BlueSkyPhotography  Před 6 lety

      LOL man you are a bit harsh . He might be out of his mind but he still has a lot of technical knowledge . Technical knowledge I mean and for that he does not need a portfolio. The truth is that if we speak about posing techniques or composition , I would not ask for his opinion because of the fact that I can not see his work at all , but if we speak about something technical , I definitely would ask him .

    • @dr.sommer5069

    Attila, I agree that bias can be introduced through sponsorship but I disagree it is absolute. I can name 3 channels michael the maven, dustin abbott and dave dugdale that test gear they acquire from a shop or manufacturer and are absolutely honest. They show you everything they judge and are both critical and objective. By the same token I know of a channel that claims to buy all the gear, claims they own it and is extremely bias towards one brand. If we as viewers are honest with ourselves we can spot dishonesty and bias, if we want to see someone fawn over our camera brand we can find that too. The biggest issue I see on youtube photography channels is their attempt to increase viewership by making controversial videos and titles they know will cause conversation and sharing. There are many young kids who are not even experienced professionals and talk about the gear from theirs parents house and high school soccer games claiming to know what a pro sports photog knows. The line between entertainment and objective review often gets blurred and its up to us to see the difference, usually the truth , whether it is praise or criticism is somewhere in the middle of the good and the bad.

      Longrider very well said. I agree with you. I try my best to stay neutral with all the brands and keep just logic and realistic judgment regardless of what brand we are talking about. That's why I use multiple brands.

    This subject is always going to create controversy because proving intent is very difficult. I've absolutely no doubt that paid shills exist within every review be it cameras or cars and I think over time you come to realise who they are. Now of course it could be that the reviewer genuinely endorses the product but it's clearly ridiculous to expect any reviewer to buy and use everything however good it is. There are very few truely terrible cameras anymore and even then you have to take the review into context regarding its intended purpose. It's no good for example saying a lens specifically made for sports/wildlife is bad just because it's huge and won't fit into your pocket! Obviously the negatives have to be made against its intended purpose and the kind of shooter you are. No one size fits all but also that doesn't make something individually bad. I'd like to think that I've got my fair share of camera experience having owned most brands at one time or another. I've got a pretty good feel for what works best for me and I can't hand on heart say that any of my cameras were out and out bad. Honesty is difficult to pin down, some folk honestly beleive in ghosts but that doesn't mean they exist lol. Overall a review is just an opinion, paid or otherwise, you have to go out and try things for yourself, and yes, that means making bum purchases because you got it wrong! You learn from your mistakes ultimately. So yeah, by all means listen to the review and make an assessment of the reviewer and not the product before you take anything they say with a grain of salt 😋 Heck, my advise ain't worth a dime either, people can take it or leave it, they either trust me or they dont 😁

    So disappointed with you Mr. Attila. According to your video you will not give us TEN reasons to switch from one brand to another. :) By the way I just finished switching from Nikon aps-c.

      Milorad Karavidin ohhh boy where did you switch to??? Let me guess....... Nikon Full Frame. If yes I think you did a good choice.

    • @miloradkaravidin8818
      @miloradkaravidin8818 Před 6 lety

      Wow seems you have 6th sense, yes Nikon FF , but in many ways I do miss D7200 :( Now let's talk about your video. In my opinion problem is that youtubers are creating hype and most of youtube users have GAS , so it is win win situation both for companies and sponsored youtubers. For sure the products they review are good , but they try to make us believe that we need them in order to radically improve our photography (skills,business, etc). In the end it is our decision. But the thing is, if we completely change the system due to recommendation and lose quite a lot of money in the process , are we going to admit that we made mistake if new system doesn't fulfill our expectations? Many of Canon users went to Sony , probably because adapter for Canon lenses woks fine , but in the end if you are serious and photography brings you money , you will buy native lenses and completely switch to new system. Again that is decision that should be made by us , but due to aggressive hype-advertisement that decision is made by others in some ways , and that is bad thing in this whole situation.

    • @BlueSkyPhotography
      @BlueSkyPhotography  Před 6 lety

      Milorad Karavidin you are absolutely right. I am that kind of person that if someone wants to convince me (aggressively) to buy a product, I will not buy that because I am stubborn. 😂😂😂 That's why I never bought a VW Passat. It was a big hype approx 10 years ago saying that the Passat is the best car. I never owned one just because everyone told me to buy one. 😂😂😂
