  • Hello CZcamsrs.
Did you ever asked yourself the question why FujiFilm is soo good in customer support??? FujiFilm is known as a well established and great APS-C camera and lens manufacturer with great reputation and customer service. They have a good range of APS-C mirroless cameras and also a decent lens line-up specially designed for APS-C sensor. FujiFilm lenses are excellent image and built quality. But the main question is still there. How is their customer support??? Because that is really important when it comes down to our gear . If you have any kind of issue with your cameras or lenses, you want to make sure that you get the best possible customer support from your brand. Well I had recently experience with FujiFilm customer support and I have to tell you that I was surprised as hell. The professionalism and responsiveness actually shocked me. So let`s talk a little bit about this interesting topic.

In Switzerland Fuji, Sony, Canon .... (only exception of Nikon) work with the same company, which repairs the gear.

Ata Lipsos that's completely fine if they do a good job. 😁😁😁

Thanks for this advice Atilla. If I remember correctly, to enter the Sony Pro Support one must have 2 Sony FF bodies + a bunch of Sony Zeiss lenses... Otherwise not eligible. I haven't seen written nowhere any panel saying that being a pro is related to the gear or the creativity. A pro should be someone able to get the maximum out of a Sony A6000 as from an A7R3.

ActionPhotoPassion I agree with you 100 %. They should not connect ownership of FF cameras with being a Pro. Many Pro photographers use Micro 4/3 cameras and APS-C cameras. What about them? This is typical Sony.

You said it, typically Sony stupidities. Concerning your zoom-creep problem I'm glad for you that Fuji did the job so well and quickly. I own pretty old zooms that have this tendency and I have decided to put a plastic band on them. It does the trick: just a bit annoying once you need the zoom quickly 😅.
Parenthesis : What's your plans for fotokina finally ?

ActionPhotoPassion I will be there for 1 and half day. Hopefully I'll be able to get as much footage as possible. I am really curious about the new stuff will come up.

I'm super glad you'll be there. I would have loved to go too, I would have profit to do sensors cleaning at Sony but I have just started a new job and intend to go on a trip this month for my few available days off... I'm eager to see your reportage of the event. Keep up the nice job, go on holidays if you can too 😋

I had to use 4 x customer services from :Canon consumer and pro service, Sony, Olympus and Fujifilm. My experiance: Canon consumer service was horrible and pro was resonable, Sony did not nottice they have any since Sony has no idea what service means (let just skip this part and stop waisting time), Olympus experiance including Fujifilm was the best.

ALEXANDER GOMES did you have any bad experience with them recently? I'm asking because I had bad experience with them but that was many years ago, and I don't know if they got better or not? 🤔🤔🤔

Alexander Sony has to do better you are correct but keep in mind they grew really fast and sold a lot cameras. They probably didn't anticipate the growth they had. It was so much easier for Fuji to keep repairs in house because of their smaller size. Now that Fuji has become more popular they also have had some growing pains and there are people who have had bad experiences, check out Zed Pro Media on youtube. Any way Sony has added pro support in some places and still needs to do more ; )
