  • Hello CZcamsrs.
    What is the best price for a mirrorless pro level camera???What is the best bang for your buck when it comes to professional photography ??? I think that this camera is one of the best priced piece of a gear at the moment . The FujiFilm X-T2 i am talking about . Did you ever asked yourself the question why FujiFilm is soo good in fulfilling customers wishes??? FujiFilm is known as a well established and great APS-C camera and lens manufacturer with great reputation and customer service. They have a good range of APS-C mirroless cameras and also a decent lens line-up specially designed for APS-C sensor. FujiFilm lenses are excellent image and built quality. But the main question is still there. How is the pricing ??? Are they really expensive or not??? Because that is really important when it comes down to our gear . And also the customer support??? If you have any kind of issue with your cameras or lenses, you want to make sure that you get the best possible customer support from your brand. Well I saw recently that the FujiFilm X-T2 is reduced to 1000$ and I have to tell you that I was surprised as hell. This price actually shocked me. That camera is so good that you can not really find another APS-C camera to bit it in any area including fast auto-focus or low light performance or any area.So let`s talk a little bit about this interesting topic.

    The Canon 6Dii can be bought now, new, for 1200 euros. That's a fantastic deal for a quality FF camera. It has received a lot of criticism from pixel-peepers and people who are only interested in 4K video and a zillion AF points, but for those of us who know how to take a photo with the correct exposure, it's a great camera and nearly 1000 euros cheaper than the Sony A7iii.

      @BlueSkyPhotography  Před 6 lety

      Saurat yes that is true but the X-T2 has better dynamic range, dual SD card slot, 4k video, faster auto focus, battery grip option, smaller - lighter form factor for the same 1000 euro. So for me it's a no brainer. I was thinking a lot about the 6D ii because of the tilty flippy screen and the dual pixel auto focus. But the reality is that the X-T2 is a better all in one package.

    I'm going to play devils advocate here and make an alternative suggestion. If you want a Pro camera which offers the best bang for your buck then looking at older cameras might be the better option. So rather than spend $2000/€2000 on a brand new mid level prosumer body perhaps buying an older truely professional one would be better? So I'm thinking along the lines of Nikon D4 or Canon 5DmkIII type of thing. Sure, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles but cameras such as these produced perfectly great shots then and still do so to this day. They weren't built to a price, they were made to be a fully professional camera, not an enthusiasts camera. We should also define what is meant by Professional Camera because frankly it's the photographer that determines if it's professional or not. Put a top end Nikon D5 in the hands of an absolute beginner and suddenly that camera doesn't perform so professionally anymore. So whilst features and build go a long way to attributing professional status it says nothing about the person using it. If a camera has to have a specific feature set for it to allow you to do what you need then that should be the criteria by which you choose your camera. There really are no completely terrible cameras anymore, but there are still lots of terrible photographers who think the latest spec camera will magically transform their images.😊

      dunnymonster so the bottom line of your tirade is Canonikon is professional and the rest is no? Get a life man!

      @BlueSkyPhotography  Před 6 lety +1

      dunnymonster 😂😂😂I agree with you in almost everything. Yes it is true that you can find a used old Nikon D4 od Canon 5D iii for that money but if I had to choose between these options I would choose the FujiFilm X-T2. Because of the newer sensor has the same dynamic range like the older full frame camera and the autofocus is way better. Let's not forget the electronic viewfinder and the smaller form factor. If you want to shoot video as well, it's a no brainer again because the X-T2 is light-years ahead of those cameras. So if you think the best all in one package the X-T2 is the winner.

    • @dunnymonster
      @dunnymonster Před 6 lety

      forgewire I have a life but thanks for your concern anyway 😊. No I wasn't suggesting that which you imply, and I made no statement that Nikon and Canon are the only brands producing professional bodies either. The point I was making ( and which you clearly missed ) was that perhaps the best bang for you buck in purchasing a Pro camera is to buy what used to be a very expensive professional camera which has now dropped to the price of what is deemed a prosumer camera now. A professional camera isn't just about its features, it's about its ability to withstand continued usage day in, day out in all potential weathers and conditions. You won't look very professional refusing to use you camera during a wedding because it's raining for example. Canon and Nikon produce their share of non professional cameras aimed at hobbiest and enthusiast shooters that frankly couldn't withstand professional use. So quite what got your knickers in a twist over my comment is beyond me?

    • @dunnymonster
      @dunnymonster Před 6 lety

      Blue Sky Photography Yes, absolutely you are correct, if there are features you need ( like 4K video ) then you have no choice but to invest in a system that has that capability. Buying something like a used D4 won't suit every shooter but if it meets your needs as a stills photographer then in absolute bang for buck/best price for a pro level camera ( the title of this video ) you get a lot for your money. 😉

  • @ScottWilliamsPhotography

    Totally agree with you Attila. If I had a couple of grand to spend on a camera right now I would get the X-T2 and a couple of lenses rather than an A7III. It really is the most value for money system for event photographers wanting quality.

    Thanks. You're right however I've just bought Fuji X-T20 for less than 600 Euros. It's almost half a price of X-T2 but quality the same. I don't lack of ISO button and double card slot. Of course it's my very personal opinion. And would you mind if I'll contact you with some Fuji lens issue? I think you can help me. Thanks;

      Did you buy new one or second hand? Great price especially if you got it with kit lens

    • @1barnet1
      @1barnet1 Před 6 lety

      Impossible with the 18-55mm F2.8-4 kit. That kit lens is 599,- new and usually sells between 300-350 second hand depending on condition. Which leaves little to no room for a X-T20. You could however score an older X-E2/X-T10 kit for less given that no one no longer wants those X-Trans 2 bodies. While obviously behind in speed they stills produce fantastic photo's. Bodies become less expensive over time leaving a nice upgrade opportunity later when budgets are tight.

  • @1barnet1
    @1barnet1 Před 6 lety

    I think the A7 III and Nikon D750. Both can use slower (more affordable) lenses then the Fuji X-T2 to counter the initial price difference. Obviously the older Nikon can't quiet keep up in terms of speed.
    There is another thing Fuji has. Dropping the quality only a small bit. And getting an ever smaller package. The X-T20/X-E3 with the 18-55mm F2.8-4 and the 55-200mm F3.5-4.8 Good luck getting something compareable anywhere.

    • @BlueSkyPhotography
      @BlueSkyPhotography  Před 6 lety

      That's true. I actually own those lenses and they are ridiculously good. And the only thing I miss from the X-T20 is the dual SD card slot.

    • @1barnet1
      @1barnet1 Před 6 lety

      Sure but then the X-T20 is not a professional camera. Not priced like one marketed like one nor featured like one.
      It also lacks USB tethering and weather sealing.Which are 2 other omissions working pro's simply need in the field.
      So while i'd like to have it. Fujifilm rightfully says well if you need a professional camera we have 2 professional options. (the X-pro 2 has all of those features too)
      And that's perfectly fine. Now Nikon on the other hand decided professionals only need 1 XQD with their new mirrorless models.
      And that's a massive mistake that will cost them dearly.

    Pentax gets their camera body pricing right and a used K1 is a steal right now, and I actually need it for night time work. Also IBIS makes lenses cheaper. BUT... if I didn't have a collection of K-mount lenses, and didn't genuinely need a full frame body, I'd jump on the XT2 simply because I like the design and all the samples I've seen. Canon/Nikon... overpriced. I prefer Fuji/Olympus/Pentax to be honest; the images, lenses, and ergonomics.

    • @BlueSkyPhotography
      @BlueSkyPhotography  Před 6 lety

      Rochester Swift yes I agree with you. I was a Pentax user myself at the beginning using a couple of film cameras and even my first DSLR was Pentax K5 and Kr . But FujiFilm X-T2 is better choice especially if you want to shoot video as well.

    • @NoMastersNoMistress
      @NoMastersNoMistress Před 6 lety

      Indeed... video, size, and auto focus on the XT2 are where they have an edge on the K1, otherwise, the K1 has the edge on everything else on the market under $2K for low light, and I'm trying to building a reputation for my night time shooting here in this part of New York.

    • @BlueSkyPhotography
      @BlueSkyPhotography  Před 6 lety

      That`s true. The K1 is a great camera for anything where you do not need fast auto-focus.

    I think for amateurs issue with fuji lenses apart from price could be their prime lenses dont have image stabilization. I think for me is important as my hands could be shaky

      Zack Choy it looks like the X-T3 will be made in China unfortunately. But on the other hand almost all the brands make their cameras in China. I don't think that should affect the quality.

      Milorad Karavidin unfortunately the D500 is much more expensive than 1000 euro. I do like the D500 and the lens advantage is there, at the end of the day it depends on the need and preferences. But the D500 is about 1500 euro.

    Attila nothing against Fuji, the xt-2 and their lens lineup is a great option, but for all the Sony hate out there they don't realize the reason Fuji and others lowered their prices so much is because of the A73 release. Let the camera companies fight, we shouldn't as photographers. just reap the rewards and go buy what you like. I say the same thing for Sony who will have to lower their lens prices when the Nikon and Canon mirrorless hit the market. ; )

    • @BlueSkyPhotography
      @BlueSkyPhotography  Před 6 lety

      Longrider definitely I agree with you. And they will drop the price you will see. It is good for us either way.

  • @eagleeyephoto8715
    @eagleeyephoto8715 Před 6 lety

    Maybe you have to put stuff in perspective when you talking overpriced.Maybe camera is overpriced but the question is compared to what? Without lens you will not get any image. Compared to Sony a7III? Over here Sony is 2300 euro and Fuji xh- 1 can be found between 1450 and 1650. There is a difference in the price in Europe so who ever is talking they are same price I would suggest to check the prices. Think that Fujifilm xh-1 sitting in the same bucket as Panasonic G9, they are both 600 euro cheaper than overpriced Sony a7III.

    • @BlueSkyPhotography
      @BlueSkyPhotography  Před 6 lety

      eagleeye photo you are right if you buy the X-H1 without the grip. But we all know that in order to compare with the a7 iii you need the grip. Than the price is the same (almost). Don't get me wrong I like the X-H1 and it is an acceptable price now with 1650 euro, but still it is a damm APS-C and the other is Full Frame. I am an APS-C user and I have a video coming why I don't want to get back to Full Frame, but when it is similar price??? Don't forget that Sony have more and more cheaper lenses every day. The lens advantages of Fuji is gone. I like Fuji but in the same time I am a very realistic and straight guy. What is wrong is wrong. Fuji did a great thing by reducing the price, because at the release it was unbelievably stupid from them to release at 2000 euro price point. That's my opinion, and it's not a problem if we don't agree. 👍👍👍

    • @eagleeyephoto8715
      @eagleeyephoto8715 Před 6 lety

      Blue Sky Photography It is now 2000 euro including grip and if you already have few lenses it is still 300 euro cheaper than a7III. Anyway think I will wait to see what Canon or Nikon will release around Photokina , and if Fuji release range finder MF then I will skip FF and be very happy with apsc and MF.

    • @BlueSkyPhotography
      @BlueSkyPhotography  Před 6 lety

      eagleeye photo that is a much better plan. Because the difference between the APS-C and MF is clearly visible. I am thinking as well on that.

      @eagleeyephoto8715 Před 6 lety

      Blue Sky Photography For what you do youwill probably need few lenses, and guess what your Zeiss will work as FF at 35 mpix.
