I’m on my second XD. I went from the Xd pro4x Cummins to the 2021 XD pro4x gas. The new 5.6 is incredible. I also drive a Toyota Land Cruiser and this truck is the closest to it in terms of reliability and capability. Interior isn’t trashy like other trucks- one of my favorite things about it. Clean interior with little dash clutter. New screen size is perfect. I’ll be a Titan xd driver as long as they keep making them
If someone found a Cummins equipped used truck would you recommend over the gas? Thanks!
I guess you are done then because this truck is toast.
I am a 18 XD owner. I have to say this truck is very very very underrated...
Do you have the diesel or gas. I'm stuck trying to make a decision I'm looking into a 19 XD pro4x
@@corydelbiondo5773 Don't get the diesel (repairs=$$$$). Also, the Pro4x is siiiiick.
@@corydelbiondo5773 I’m on my second XD, actually the same model as the one in the video- mines a 21. I went from the 5 liter Cummins back to their gas. The new (2020 and newer) 5.6 is an incredible motor, puts out the same horsepower and torque as other manufacturers 6.2s or 6.4s. I drive a Toyota Land Cruiser and this rig is the closest truck to that. Incredibly well built and amazing off road. I live in Taos NM and spend a lot of time in backcountry. This tows the same as the 5 liter Cummins without the BS of diesel maintenance. 100,000 mile bumper to bumper with the best sound system in the industry. Center and rear E diffs, bilstein suspension platform and ya, the exhaust sounds like charger with a cutback system.
Everyone: Loves the Warrior concept! What an aggressive looking truck! I’d love to buy one.
Nissan: yeah we’re not going to do that......
Russell Woods Nissan just Teased us with the warrior
@@dhhernandez416
They did the same thing with their Frontier having a 2.8L Cummins engine and ZF-8 transmission in it. That kinda pissed me off. I hate when manufacturers lie to us consumers like that. 😡🤬
Yep Nissan chickened out again, they should have made it look exactly like the Warrior concept, they would sell a ton of them, such a good looking truck.
I would of bought one for sure
Ditto, I would have bought one, still bought the p4x 2017
Steven out here looking like that one Amish kid that moved to the big city to do a normal job
Assembling campers in Indiana.
Lmfao haha that shit is funny bro
Can’t hate the guy. He came along way from auto guide . Gotta give this Guyz props for doing his job.
Man that’s really nice! Nissan did a good job with that package.
I have a 2018 Titan XD and it is everything you say. Beefy, powerful and really great for towing. So glad I got it. Went over the mountains in Colorado and it was not a disappointment-- climbed easily with an 8000 lb load.
One thing that you can only find in the Titan that I absolutely LOVE are the adjustable angle headlights. I know they're for when towing weight tilts the truck back, but after driving up and down hills at night as much as I do, I WISH other vehicles had the same feature.
I noticed that the Titan has feature as well. It's a pretty common feature on vehicles in Europe, not sure why you don't see it here so much.
5:45 that 5.6 still sounds amazing. The Titan has always sounded like it has a cat back. I'll never forget when my dad bought his 05 titan, the salesman started it up and we both looked at each other like, "whoa?!" 😃
Very true even my 4.0 in my 14 Xterra sounds good from the factory and ppl ask if I have an exhaust.
I still have my 05, 4WD package, it’s bomb proof, great truck.
@@calivalley9056
05...what? Xterra? Titan?
Travelin' Ted Titan!
My uncle had a 2004 with the 5.6 and now has a 2006 with the 5.6. His 2004 truck was going strong with nearly 300k miles until it was totaled by a reckless driver. He bought the 2006 with around 168k miles and has surpassed the 200k miles without any hiccups. Something you can’t say about Chevy, Dodge or Ford.
Originally, I thought Tundra TRD Pro had the best sounding V8, but I changed my mind now, the Titan has the best one.
Agree. I just put a full cat-back exhaust on my 2019 Midnight Edition and it definitely has a nice rumble that has a different pitch to it than a toyota or gm V8.
@@kirkbrown5346 What catback did you go with? I'm looking for one right now
@@brianyoung4868 Flowmaster Flow FX catback. Love it. Doesn't sound like a typical flowmaster.
@@kirkbrown5346 Will check it out. Thanks for the quick reply!

Deaf idiot
Nissan are trying to push Renault out, this can only mean good things for the trucks and SUVs
That is true that made my day hearing that they ruined Nissan and Mitsubishi
Source to this good news?
Since changing my radiator in my 06 Nissmo Frontier in 2010 and 280,568 miles later never looked back
The trucks have always been built right. My 14 pro4x is bomb proof.

I love this truck. Still v8, still a awesome design and still the good old column shifter.
This makes me want to upgrade my Titan.
Me too bruh I got 2017 pro 4x
Me too lol
Congratulations on hitting 100,k! Nice review of their new truck.
Had an '04 Titan which I'm sure was designed in the 90's when Nissan was still Nissan. It was a great truck!
I still have my 2004 LE , the best vehicle I ever owned , got almost 200 K. I'm one of the few original owners. I've pre-ordered a Cybertruck (3 motor), but still keep my trusted old Titan !!!
val s. I still have my 2005 titan le I’m the original owner and it has 230,000 miles on it hahah
I had an 04 LE. I loved the truck but it was plagued with first year problems. Had more brake jobs than oil changed, and cracked overhead consoles, not to mention a few other things. But it was a ton of fun to drive.
@@crittendon1000 it's shame that you had problems though mine was one of the first made in 2003 & I didn't have any problems except the brake servo needs to be reset once in while, just to turn off & start! I'm still driving 15 years + this great truck, but it will retire when I get the Cybertruck :)
@@vals.3817
How much did you pay for the Tesla Cybertruck?
Glad you’re having fun here in Mississippi. I love the fact that a Mississippi made truck, is using a Mississippi company for an amazing sound system, fender. Hope y’all enjoy the plant tour, it’s pretty awesome.
Lol! I name my 2017 XD the Mississippi Mule. I love that truck I haul a slide in camper and pull a 17' cargo trailer grossing 14500 lbs it does an amazing job.
Congrats on 100k subscribers. I personally think you are the best of the TFL channels. Definitely like the reviews and the comparison video your group did on the half ton trucks last year. Wouldn’t mind seeing you branch off into some off road equipment and tire reviews and comparisons as well.
Hey! Longtime subscriber here. I LOVE WHEN YOU OFF-ROAD THESE BEASTS the pit is fun to watch and other stuff like that!!!!
This guy has the best reviews. I've been following him from his previous channel a few years ago.
Love this coverage!! I really want the 2020 Titan, it looks great. I really want to see this truck on the pipe line and om the cliff hanger 2.0
The longer bed would be the biggest factor for me for an XD over the standard Titan. I can't seem to get past a full size truck with less than a 6' bed.
Thats why I bought my '18 XD. It's just not a truck when the cab far outstretches the bed.
Then, don't buy a truck in crew cab form. Get an extended cab with a 8 foot bed.
@@Sig721Tau Or I can just buy the longer wheelbase truck and have a crew cab with adequate bed... like I did. Love my XD!
@@cmelochick
But you loose in payload/ towing capacity with a crew cab and a 8 foot bed. Not too mention, all of the other electrical goodies on it. Do you actually haul stuff in your 8 foot bed? Just my two cents.
@@Sig721Tau Some folks need/want both genius (crew cab & long bed)...
Thanks for all you do Steve. Keep up the good work!
What brought y'all to 601 Jacktown?! That's fantastic. I hope y'all ate some good Southern cuisine. As always, fantastic review and even better channels. I cannot wait to see more! Thanks.
Long time subscriber, not exactly a fan of the titan. But I am currently in Jackson, MS, and as being from this area super pumped that you’re here! Hope you enjoyed!
Great new vid!! Nice to see the updated Nissan.
Just keep doing what your doing..The milage loops are my favorite..I even fill my vehicles the same way.
Hi from Montreal Canada love your reviews keep up your great work 👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Even in Poland someone watching you ;)
I think the 2020 Titan will be my next car, pozdrawiam.
Because of all yall at TFL is why I bought my nissan frontier pro 4x and I couldn't be happier please keep it up yall are all awesome
Always enjoy your fair and unbiased videos Steven.
Love my 18 Titan SV, I've been complimented on it more than any other vehicle I've owned. Best bang for the buck Truck you can get, best factory warranty too.
Another great Canadian review - keep up the great work!
Wow guys. Never thought I would see a review in Jackson MS. This my home. Been following you guys for awhile. Love the channel. Keep em coming.

Jarrod McDaniel that’s a nice place
KuntryBoy I enjoy it! I’m a small town guy. I also have in-laws in Gulfport and Pass Christian and go to Saints games with them. Small world😂
My dad gave me his 08 titan when I turned 16 and I love it to this day
Congratulations on 100k. Keep up the great content.
I've had an 05, 17. Loved them both. Amazing, strong truck... and when I graduate late this year, I'll be going into my local Nissan dealership and buying yet another Titan...
Awesome congratulations on 100k.
Keep up the great work.
Watching you from Honduras! (Central America)
Damn that v8 sounds so good!
ichor20 *with premium fuel
It's only recommended premium, but you can run regular. It drops it down to about 393hp. Which makes no difference at all. I've ran both. It is more for marketing the 400hp.
I'm sold! Love your enthusiasm. Great review. Tundra left off the aux cooler for trans 2019-20 so they are out since I tow quite a bit both travel trailer and SXS on flatbed. Very plush interior, great for long distance travel. Awesome sounding V8 like you say!
I’m been telling people this 2020 titan is going to be a trend setter hopefully in 2 years I can pick up this bad boy🙏🙏
I like the updates personally, wish the outside shape was a little more squared. But I love the color with all the different black accents. I’m also liking the idea of a HD gas 1500 class truck. For someone like me that only tows or hauls bigger things from time to time. I’ll definitely give them a look in the future. Maybe a company truck.
Love all your videos. Keep it up!
Congratulations on 100k!
Great video, keep up the good work! What's the payload capacity on the XD Pro4x? Thanks!
Just right over in Alabama, been watching for years!
This was a great place to do a truck review. Something about that particular type of gravel and the way the truck looks on it. And the recreational feel of the surroundings. Makes me want to buy a truck.
Still have my 2005 Titan and still love it. Only 114k miles. Was just looking at the XD and loved it too. Maybe one day!
Gonna miss the diesel option. Love the new look. Can’t wait to see it in action
Congratulations 🎊🍾🎈🎉
Stay consistent with the hard work you've been putting into the channel, Keep on bringing the latest new vehicle info, and as always we appreciate the off road oriented videos! #roadto200k
Great review! I feel your enthusiasm!
Please please please more big green!! Love that truck. Great vids!
great video..Its about time for a update and I think Nissan did a good job and pulled it off. I look forward to the off road video.
I didnt think I would like that color but with all the blacked out badges it looks really good. It also sounds nice even with the stock exhaust. nice video.
Just found you're channel...loaded with really good info..but why not mention the price point on the Nissan like you did the others on the mobile segment...keep up the good work & thanks for real world testing...
Beautiful truck, if my 2010 ever gives up the ghost, I’ll be getting another Titan.
I traded my 2010 titan for an 18 xd with the Cummins. 30K and no problems, tows my camper like a dream.
Same, whenever my 12 quits on me I'll get one of these, used of course
There you go, true proof they run forever
2005 nissan titan 4x2 = 270,000 coming up and still running strong wtf right love this truck cant decide if i should get a 2017 pro 4x for 30k or anould i wait another year or two to get 2020 pro 4x used ??? any advice anyone
@@stevenmurillo6996 we just bought a 2017 XD pro4x gas last summer for 32k, great truck, so happy with our decision. To answer your question, depends on if you want the new screens or not. The truck is mostly the same (engine, frame, body). Main new things are the gauge cluster, radio and transmission.
Always nice to see our Canadian friend talking about trucks eh!
Great review- thanks
I love my 2012 PRO 4X. I put the NISMO exhaust and intake on it. I also had a 2009 base- no power accessories and crank windows- put stainless Flow masters on it. Sounded awesome! I preferred the exhaust going out the back(FlowMaster vs the side NISMO). I didn't like scarring people when I passed them! I used to live in Summit County, CO for 20yrs, and worked at Loveland Ski Area, so I love the IKE TESTS you do. I live in Durango now. I tow a 2009 19ft Airstream, that I originally towed with a 2001 Acura MDX, purchased at Flat Irons Acura.. HAHA! Dealer said I could tow 5000lbs. NOT! Tranny blew on the way to RockyGrass in Lyons summer 2009. So I bought my first TITAN. I enjoyed the ride VS competitors. I enjoy driving, performance and sound. My Husband says next time we get a new truck, please don't upgrade the exhuast! Hey I ride a Harley! Loud is great. I love watching your reviews of ALL vehichles. I can see in Andre's expressions when he is happy with a vehicles performance. I think I'll wait for the 2021 Frontier. Down size and hope it will tow my 5500lb trailer. Thanks for your honest reviews.
I had a 2012 Titan Pro 4X and now have a 2017 Titan XD Platinum 5.0 Cummins TD. For 2020, I'm sorry to see the Cummins go away. It is tractable, with plenty of torque to tow my fifth wheel. We did add air bags. Towing 300 miles at highway speeds, we got 9.6 mpg. It felt like a rocket ship going across the Mojave Desert. If you find one lightly used, buy it.
James McGillis better than Ford F-250 and 350 with issues and Chevy and gmc Nissan Titan good trucks with good warranty but not look after because of brands like ford and Chevy only better than this a Toyota Tundra
I have a 2017 pro-4x that I've been very happy with since day one. I really like the new upgrades on the 2020.
Wanna see a Titan vs Tundra video. LOVE the exhaust note on this truck! Also, the fact it has a dedicated camera button like my Pathfinder which comes in handy a lot especially pulling into tight spots. I wish it had Ford's step tailgate and Dodge's bed pockets. I really like the front and taillights but I have to see it in action at night to see how they look. I love a vehicle with great looking taillights/LED headlights!
All Titan needs is an aux transmission cooler to beat out the new Tundra, they (toyota) removed their aux transcoolers from the tow package, on Tundra causing trans warning light to come on for overheating while towing rv trailers.
@@davidcox2197 TFL did a towing test for the transmission up a hill. And debunked that problem. It was bad ass
I’m loving the new titan! Great review
You guys are the greatest automobile reviewers
I love the idea of the Titan XD as a 5/8 ton truck but at the higher trim level I'm looking at now I find the XD's payload increase is negligible compared to my 2011 F150 XLT with 1777 Lbs payload.
Enjoying your videos from a few hundred kms north of your new hangout.
Titans are good trucks. You can really get some fantastic deals on them also. I've known several people with Titans and all have good things to say.
Here is your first without one......Spent too many hours working on it just to realize everything on it is cheap, built cheap, and built for a car.
Great review.
My 2008 has 250,000 plus miles and still runs like a champ Nissan is doing good things!!!!
I'm loving this truck so much! Definitely planning on grabbing one 👍
I've heard of this truck about 6 years ago now, followed all the updates, fell in love with the Cummins diesel engine, I'm not gonna say this is a bad engine and I still would change my cute old 2005 X-Trail for this
Congratulations Steven! What happened to Big Green? Do you still have it, and are you planning to do any more videos with it?
When you suddenly realise that andre is the one holding the camera😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 as always good content ✌
I'd like to see you guys get into people's project rigs and talk about the off road / overland aftermarket
I like your intense off road videos. Like the 4Runner, tundra vs rebel, where you push the vehicles.
I would love to see the Titan pro 4x pushed to its limits.
Maybe find an owner of the XD Cummins (last gen obviously) and have them talk about their experience. Was the diesel bad like forums say or are people blowing it out of proportion. I’m curious what XD Cummins owners have gone through.
Thanks Steve!
Keep updated on everything on new trucks
ooh-la-la, red stitching and other red outlines in the interior! That's really quite a functional upgrade.
And a grille that looks like someone rattle-canned the stock one.
Only .3" more ground clearance than the QX50??? What happened to the 5L Cummins?? What a beauty. I love that they're using the VK56 in the M/Q sedans also. Thanks for the vid. 1st time I've seen YOU. Will be back.
Congrats, great job 👍
I have a 2018 Frontier Pro-4X and I really like it. I'll be keeping my eye on the Titan over the next couple of years when it's time for a new truck.
Same, got a 2017 Frontier Pro-4X and for the class size it’s an amazing truck. Tows good, gets through mud holes in 2WD that guys in Ram 1500 where getting stuck in. For the price it’s great.
I really like the look. They did a great job on the styling. It does have some warrior touches. With more power, the new technology package and 9 speed transmission and better warranty, it just keeps getting better. I think this truck is better looking the all the current trucks. It has great potential to steal sales from the other manufactures.
I will definitely be checking this truck out when my RAM lease is up, looks and sounds great. Hope they offer some more colors though
I want to see actual off-road tests for the most part. Stuff that really tests the trucks as you did with the 4runner on the hydro line. Something that shows us that yes this is something you can do a lot with off-road and has the potential to be modded to make it beastly!
Could you get some shots of the exhaust!? It sounds great, no need for aftermarket! Thanks
The steering wheel angle readout is cool. It would be useful when doing a wheel alignment. Turn key on and lock steering wheel at zero degrees and then set tow to spec on the alignment machine. Normally I'd have to plug a scanner in and look at the steering wheel angle sensor PID but it's a cool little feature
This thing looks awesome tbh
Do more on the Toyota 4Runners Pro and TRD Off road, might be buying one soon, good show
I would like to see some videos highlight issues models are having. Helps with the buying process to know what to look for.
Have a 2018 Xd SL with the cummins. Excellent truck. Highly highly underrated truck.
Have a 16 CD platinum reserve and I love it, especially after the "upgrade" lol. Really woke the truck up and reduced the throttle lag big time. Really wish they hadn't dropped the Cummins. that's the whole reason I bought it. I wanted a little better towing stability than a half ton without the harsh ride, and the xd delivers. Strange that a diesel with that Aisin transmission is only rated at 12,000lbs because it would easily tow more than that, Nissan just wanted to stay below a certain gross weight. I've towed our food trailer with my xd and an F150 and while the F150 had no trouble pulling it, the XD was more stable and you really dont feel the trailer because it doesnt move the xd around nearly as much, but that's because the xd is alot heavier and has a longer wheelbase.
@@Jackmerius_Tacktheretrix Yep, if you treat the Xd like a 1500, it'll do everything a 1500 does easier and better as well as for a lot longer. Plus, anyone pulling 13.500 pounds in a 1/2 ton f150 is effing nuts. I've gotten close to that once and if the wind even sniffled a bit you'd shit your pants.
@@kane6106 exactly! And that was the point of this truck and why I bought it. I do know without a doubt that its capable of safely hauling and towing more than its rated for. Nissan admits it can do more but they wanted to be below a certain gross at. Its built on the NV3500 3/4 ton Van's frame, has the same Aisin transmission as the ram 3500. But what it doesnt have is the 8 lug floating axles of the NV3500. I'm willing to they you could swap that and put a larger diesel and have a 3/4 ton. But I love mine. I've towed the same trailer with an F150 and my xd and theres no comparison when ut comes to stopping and stability on the highway.
@@Jackmerius_Tacktheretrix Yep. If you search around you'll see that the 5.0 can, with just a tune, go to 400hp and over 750tq with no issues. I'd say you'd need to upgrade the front and rear suspension to be a true 3/4 ton, but yeah it could certainly be done.
@@kane6106 definitely. I have the shift on the fly 0-120hp on mine. Night and day difference, even at the 0hp tune
Please leave the titan and frontier reviews to Stephen, he comes off as more knowledgeable and less biased as opposed to the other two fast lane guys who are extremely biased against nissan and they sure love there America trucks but well see how they hold up after 150k miles ;)
Nissan bodies don't hold up in the Northeast. I do know that much.
@@jeremygaillard5924 Neither does the Jatco transmissions.
@@jeremygaillard5924 undercoat them ☺
@@blackbeargear8884 The neighbors truck is newer than my Ford which I have fluid filmed a few times. I also had a co-worker who owned a Titan. That also rotted away before its time. It's evident that Nissan uses inferior steel for their bodies.
@@blackbeargear8884 Should you have to undercoat it, just to fix a problem that other trucks of its class don't suffer from, for $50,000?

Good luck...enjoy.
Everyone is crying about the diesel yet they wouldn’t buy this truck anyway. You want an HD Titan, they will make it if this one sells, want a Titan with a diesel? They will make it if this one sells, give it a chance, tell your friends and family in the truck market to take a look at the Titan, you have a brand making an honest truck that people want but by not supporting them for doing so, you’re sending the wrong message. If the 2020 Titan sells very well, you’ll see a range of options come in, they just need to see that people want this truck before they dump money into building the warrior and dually Titans
They are not a big seller in New York. I see what are the traditional big sellers. Ford and Chevy. Anyone I ever know who bought the Titan complained about severe rot issues.
Jeremy Gaillard Titans rot out last compared to all the other brands, especially with the fully boxed frame
@@jmgaming1224 Since when. My 2011 Ford F150 has no rot compared to my neighbor who has the 2016 Titan?
@@jmgaming1224 I have seen it with my own eyes. The only bodies that rot out faster are Dodges.
Thanks guys - this is the first titan that makes me think about upgrading from my 04...
Just sold my 04 sl 4x4 with 335k miles on it for $3,500. Absolutely incredible vehicle .15 years of hunting and fishing trips, towing 20 foot boat and 23 foot travel trailer, plus commuting everyday. Sad to sell it but had to make room for the 2019 pro4X. I'm in love all over again.
Great help as i've had Nissan trucks for years and was thinking of moving, not now perhaps. It would have been helpful for some info on price? Sure I can Google that but I felt that was only thing missing.
I've always liked Nissan trucks for some reason. I really like the XD Titian because it is a unique combination of HD and LT truck.
TFL should do a modification segment on this and other trucks. Show us what mods are available, such as lift, level, wheels, tires, and tune etc. Most of us throw a level with wheels and tires on first thing. Go over best level/tires size for each truck and how it performs afterwards. Thanks.
I'm sold and thank you. I'm looking at this truck to buy but seen so many negative reviews but I will go for it. Some of them are really stupid. For example one review I read said that it's 0 to 60 rating is a full half second slower than a RAM. Really? Yes there are some more refinements in the competitors fare but no one mentions the extra $20,000 you have to pay for an extra bell and whistle. Great video by the way.
