LG C1 OLED - 10 reasons why it’s worth buying TODAY.

  • Here is my look at the LG C1 4K OLED TV.
    This video is not going to talk about colour accuracy or peak brightness, in this video are other things you will notice day to day and make a big difference to you as an average consumer when watching the TV.
    There are plenty of much more in depth reviews on CZcams that go far more in depth with the settings if you need that info.
    Is this the best value TV around, for the price you get A LOT of TV.
    There are better sets out there, but they also cost more.
    Do you own a C1? a C2? or are you holding off for a C3?

    I received my LG C1 65”. I’ve only bought two TVs in my life, I’m in my mid 20s. My first TV was an old used hotel LG probably 32”. I bought that 2018. My second TV which just replaced it was the C1 65”. I was supposed to get it Saturday but Amazon emailed me it was coming a day early. What a joyous product this is!! This is what I’ve been missing out on all my life. I bought it to compliment the ps5 I got in May. It has been years since I played games and when I did play I was casual. I’m glad I’ve made these two purchases.

    I have the LG C1 55” and it’s superb! Also solved the issue of getting the stand closer to the wall by not using the included stand and mounting it on a Sandstrom STSTAB19 Stand, this also allowed me to have it sitting slightly higher which gave enough room for my Bose sound bar underneath. (Looks like you could benefit from doing the same so your sound bar isn’t blocking the screen, my Bose SB fits the width of the stand perfectly)
    As for Bluetooth headphones, I’ve discovered that I can connect my AirPods Pro 2 direct to the TV with no noticeable audio sync issues which was a bonus.
    As for out the box settings, yep it looks okay out the box, but looks incredible if you follow some you tube tutorials for expert calibrated picture settings, then it’s mind blown.

    Great list, I bought a C1 in July and have been very happy with my purchase ever since. I originally was waiting for the C2 to be available in Canada which was slated for July some time. I was doing constant research online between the C1 and C2 at the time. I finally got see a C1 in person because I found out a friend of mine had one for a few months. I was very impressed with what I saw. The store demos don't do it justice at all. But even with that I read that the C2 would be better in brighter rooms due to the EVO panel. What finally clinched it was two things price and the fact I found out the newer manufactured C1s came with an EVO panel( can be verifed by serial number) . While not as bright as the c2s panel it was slightly brighter then the orginal launch panel. I ended up picking one up for $1999 plus tax Canadian and at the time the C1 was $3299 Canadian. I bought it at Costco so had a 90 day return policy if I didn't like it. The C2 came down to $2399 Canadian within my return window and I still didn'tthink the difference was worth the $400.

    Great points! I just bought 77” C1 at Best Buy for $1,799 open box, it’s a steal for that price. It looks great has the oled evo panel and I love the size of it. I’m upgrading from a 55” 1080p oled from 2016(still keeping because it’s a 3D TV).
    The C1 will be my main for probably about 5-7years, or when the next gaming console is released and where 8k is prominent. I’m now spoiled at 77” size, wont go below that size going forward. I recommend that size especially for movies.

If you can wait til c3 is out then get c2 as it'll be more cheaper and most likely c2 won't drop any further down as by that point no more c2 will be made. • @Dave004
    @Dave004 Před rokem +3

    I like my C1 but I (like many) have some issues in dark scenes in TV shows/movies or games. Also, i've had instances where it gest SUPER grainy in a TV show i'm watching, to the point where a TV that costs $1000 less feels like it wouldn't show that much grain and distortion. Its only for some shows so I thought it might be the content itself, but for instance watching Daredevil on Disney + which is in Dolby Vision looks absolutely horrible! But then I go and watch Moon Knight and its looks nice, both are in Dolby Vision. So not sure whats up there.
    This is my first OLED though, so my issues might be common on all OLED's and in that case, the extra money you spend for OLED's is great sometimes, but other times makes you feel like you wasted some money I guess.

      Came here to say the same thing; doesn't that Sonos bar block the screen at the bottom? I bought an IKEA Lack shelf for a tenner to raise the TV a couple of inches over my Yamaha C20a. It's the absolute perfect size to accommodate the 65" C1 pedestal. Also, if you stick a couple of rubber feet to the underside of the shelf you can feed your cables under it, creating a very 'clean' set up.

I got mine at best buy and got the 4 year warranty, it was an extra $300 (tv was $2000) but for 4 years it does cover burn in, bad pixels, ghosting, etc. So at least for 4 years you know you won't get burn in (or they'll fix/replace it).
