Just picked up an ‘02 Ranger with 69k miles. Found your channel as a starting place for mods. Subscribed for sure!
Oh heck ya man! Thats awesome. Thank you a ton for watching the channel.
Same but mines a 93
There's Do it with Dan and now DoinitwithDoug , if i start a channel i might have to call it Jerkin Around with Jerry .
If you didn't call it that, I would be severely disappointed lmao 😂 thanks for watching.
Still waiting for this channel. Im intrigued
I really appreciate real time reviews 🤣
Did a simple body lift on mine 16yrs years ago, still in love with her, looking forward to your videos
Nice. Was thinking about a body lift in conjunction with a coilover swap. Thanks for tuning in man! Were you my 200th subscriber? lol Either way thanks!
100% going for the fully adjustable seats in mine....heated for added points, thank you for letting me know they are a direct swap!
I have a LOT of parts sitting around waiting for me to buy a house with a shop. I will be doing a V-log of my build. Supercharging the Cologne, Exploder axle swap with 5.13's and a locker up front/Tru-Track out back...lots of other stuffs. I'll be posting a video on doing an HID projector swap with Spider buckets and Morimoto Mini H1 7.0 within a few months. I've already done my driver-side...just been not excited about doing the passenger and filming it. My one HID is good enough I can't even tell the halogen is on.
That's gonna be sick dude! Keep me posted my man!
I am watching and listening closely < and of course for Thankyou for posting to help us all !
Looking forward to the future adventures. Hopefully will be able to start restoring my ‘92 STX... have only had it for 15 years. LOL
That would be super cool, and its always better late than never my friend. :) Thanks for watching.
Sick rig man, I’m thinking about getting a ranger soon
You should man!
Great video Doug can’t wait to see what you do next
Thanks buddy. Got some big plans. If there is anything that you want to see let me know! Have a good one!
@@DoinitwithDoug Yeah I’ll definitely be wait for any videos you put out. Just picked up on my first car and it’s a 2002 Ranger xlt with 170,000. Probably next summer I’ll start doing some mods to it. Definitely would love to see a video when you do your lift kit. And once I saw your video on the seats I started looking for them on the internet where did you happen to get yours a pick and pull or online ? Just keep posting the videos and your definitely going to have at least 1 person watching and taking something out of them. And what are your plans now for the truck are you going to start working on your sleeping quarters in the back or just going to lay low because of the snow. That’s a lot of snow I thought we got a ton in Michigan no way as much as that
We’re working on a 2002 Ranger also. Pretty much the same as yours except auto and it’s an xl. Also oddly enough our rear doors open on both sides. Can’t wait to see where she takes you! We’re in the midst of gathering parts to put them all on at once sometime this winter.
@@DnDSeekingAdventure Cool. Let me know when you post that video
That was proper to show one side before breaking on through to the other side .
Then you opened the doors !
Glad you approve :)
Dude, i love this video. its awesome. haha
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@DoinitwithDoug can't wait for more ranger content! Keep up the act to! The funny little one liners really pick up the video
We’re on our 4th Ranger.
Our current one is a 11 XLT super cab 4X4 4.0 V6.
It only has 35K miles and it does everything we need it to do.
It’s a great truck for working around our property and getting me to my favorite fishing hole.
We get 5-6 feet of snow every winter. I put 300# of sand bags over the rear axle for traction and 50# of air in the shocks so the truck won’t sag with the sand in the rear.
They are such good trucks for getting to those hard to reach honeyholes.
@@DoinitwithDoug Aren’t they though? The Ranger is a very durable and capable pickup.
Looks great.
My 99 4L xlt has 220,000 trouble free miles on it. Hoping to get a bunch more out of it. I'm in the market for seats. You video was helpful.
Looking forward to the camper shell build.
Nice! They are tanks! Hope you find the seats you want. If you have questions, feel free to let me know. :)
@@DoinitwithDoug Will do. That front bumper looks great. I'll be looking into that as well.
You won’t believe this, but I just bought this truck from the guy that owned it after you. I’ve taken it to Kansas and wyoming from Indiana and put it through its paces. I love that truck and daily it.
HELL YA DUDE! Where do you live?
@@DoinitwithDoug I live in north central Indiana! I’ve loved every minute I’ve had with the truck. I was googling some mod ideas I had and saw it and was like woah that looks like my truck and sure enough it was
@@averyfisher5640 Is the deck still in the back? Do any camping with it?
@@DoinitwithDoug The guy before me took the camping setup out of the back, but yes I have camped out of it. I took it to the western edge of Nebraska and got a mule deer in it right before Christmas. I was breaking drifts and beating on her pretty hard and she never skipped a step! best money I've ever spent.
@averyfisher5640 hope you're enjoying her, she's a beauty. I've been building my Ranger closely following this one, I'll link you a video if I ever do one haha. Take care of your Ranger and she'll take care of you ;)
Sportsman Light Truck makes coilover brackets, great company to work with.
I reached out to them. I didn't see it on their website. Thank you!!
This mans humor is on point
You're too kind... :)
Awesome setup, Doug! Were the explorer seats hard to find and install? I have a 1999 ranger xlt and the only issue us the stock seats are painful to sit in for long drives. Can those seats be found online, or do i need to source them from a junkyard? Thank you in advance💪
You might be able to find them online but the shipping is gonna kill you. I would just start checking all the junkyards and facebook market place. The install wasnt too bad. I have a video series on the install.
What year Explorer did you get the bucket seats and center consoul
I cant remember, I wanna say it was a 1999.
I'll do it with doug; I love this guy!
Oh hell ya! lol
I run Cooper Discoverer A/T tires year round. They’re great
I love coopers.
@@DoinitwithDoug I’ve been using Cooper’s for years. Yes they are great tires, for our needs anyway
Subbed for the intro
You're the man. Glad you liked the original music.
Hey Doug! I was wondering if your front grill is stock? I’ve been wanting a black one for a while but can’t seem to find one for my 07 Ranger. Thanks
Yes it was stock. You can also paint yours.
Nice video bud! Plan on getting a skid plate for that bumper? I need one too!
Yeah, I haven't decided on the RCI or affordable off-road one. I like your channel bud.
@@DoinitwithDoug haha damn I’m stuck between the two rn also was wondering what you were thinking on what to do😅 Thanks man!
i have the same front end suspension wise what are you running for a lift? and also what are your tire and rim sizes? i just picked up a flareside ranger xlt white like urs and i love the stance perfect height for what im trying to do..
I have no lift, 32s, and -44 offset on 15x10 rims. Glad you like the truck.
Did you find a way to quiet down the center console? I really wanna do the 60/40 mod to my seats and stick one of those in there. But I’d hate for it to rattle like shit.
Yeah I fastened it down with a couple more screws and it was much more quiet.
So I’m looking to get the same bumper as you but when I go on Amazon and look for it, it is on there but there no options to put on it like the actual affordable off-road website does. Does it come from Amazon looking like yours or is there some way to add options on the Amazon website?
The link in the description takes you to my exact bumper. I didnt add anything on to it.
Link to bumper? I’ve been wanting to pull the trigger on the affordable off-road but it’s pretty pricey
Yeah, I agree to that. Thats why I went with this one, been very happy! Here is the link bud.. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VT5S8GX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Did the pumper hurt mpg much?
I know I’m running 33x12.5r15 I shouldn’t worry about mpg but I like driving all over the country and finally got my 4.0 pushrod 20mpg on hw and don’t want mess that up to much
I got around 16 with this truck. So its hard to say if its the tires, or the bumper.
whats the bumper you put on it, all i could find for my 97 is affordable offroad ones ?
amzn.to/3HvqipN Hope that helps.
Hey Doug, I got a couple questions. What hood guard/deflector is that and where did you find it? Also what color did you use for the paint to match (like on the mirrors)? Thanks!
Deflector: amzn.to/3QCDJZB
Paint Match: amzn.to/3Qdyka9
Hope this helps!
@DoinitwithDoug Thank you bro! Still working on my old Ranger haha
Did you adjust your torsion bar keys at all?
A couple of cranks, nothing too crazy.
What brand is the topper? Couldn't quite hear it in the video. I've got the 2011 XLT and haven't been able to find a topper. Nice build BTW!
Sorry, it was pretty storm that day. She's a Century topper, I love it. Stick around for when I build my camper set up back there, with storage drawers, its coming up after the new year. :) Thanks for watching.
@@DoinitwithDoug I'm looking to do the same thing with my ranger so itll be cool to see what you do
@@dkwatters8476 me too! I have the 2011 xlt as well and I can’t wait to get started on my camper!
Where did u get you’re topper ?
It came with the truck when I bought it. Its a century brand topper.
What center console is that? Is that the explorer? What year and model
This one is out of a 2000 explorer. I have a two part series of videos about this swap if you are interested. Also there is a link in part ones description that tells you what years fit. Thanks for joining the crew.
did you put f150 seats in it?
No, Ford Explorer
What's the name of the wheels? I got a 2000 XLT
amzn.to/3Xzr9ve
Someone please help me. I have a 2002 Ford Ranger XLT 2 wheel drive with a 6 foot bed. I want to put bigger tires and smaller wheels on it. Similar to this look. I hate my stock rims and wheels. What do I need/what can I do to upgrade my truck without breaking the bank. Only spent $1500 on it. Excellent condition with only 115k miles. Some paint scratched on the bed, it was a farm truck. But great interior and front. HELP!
The rims I have are only 400 for all four. I linked them in the description. As for tires, you get what you pay for but just check craigslist and facebook for a good deal.
Where do you keep your spare tire?
Ummm... Yeah... about that lol
What year and model is this ranger man? You gotta bring the ranger videos back they are great!
It was a 2002 xlt. I unfortunately dont have the ranger anymore but I will be getting one again very soon.
Where can I buy those racks
amzn.to/3Id3X0s
Where did you get your bumpers/push bar
Amazon, link in description. Thanks for watching.
amzn.to/3HvqipN
I have a 2011 ranger 4x4. Been thinking about 31x10.5x15, looks like my 25570R16 are about 29"
31" should fit without too much hassle no?
Put the same size tires and have zero issues with clearance at full turn and full articulation. No rubbing issues at all
@@andrewsadventures5089 Interesting. I may have to do this now.
Nah, they should fit just fine.
I have that same knock off bumper from eBay. After a year the coating it comes with fades and turns a chalky grey color that can’t be cleaned. I plan on bed lining mine soon!
Oh man, that sticks. I kinda wanted to color match mine, so maybe ill do that. Thanks for the heads up.
What’s the link to it guys? I can only find expensive ones. =/
where can i find racks like that i cant find them, or what brand are those
To be honest, I found them at a garage sale, I can look to see if they have a brand on them. Thanks for watching.
@@DoinitwithDoug hey thanks for responding man shows a lot! Yea I’d love to know what kind you got thank you!
I'd also be interested to know, I can't find a good way to mount a rack.
Que tamaño son tus neumaticos?
32x12.5x15
Is it a 2x4?
No 4x4
@@DoinitwithDoug I didn’t know they made a 5 speed 4x4
Hey Doug .. I inherited a 1998 ranger xlt 4 dr 4x4 wait for it >>>>> 50K miles wait for it >>> FREE !!!, anyway my question is, I noticed Your wheels are Steel, any reason why???
Nice man! free is always better lol
The rims are steel cause I like the look and they are cheap lol
I like your left headlight
Thats what I appreciate about you. :)
That’s a warthog if I’ve ever seen one.
I agree my man.
Literally my truck but mines a flareside and gold
Hope it inspires you man.
Bro let me buy your Ranger!!
Its sold man... sorry.
I'm guessing u live in Canada and for sure not Florida
Colorado was where this was filmed.
