- So, it appears I've found myself thrown into the role of Johnny Ringo for a live action reenactment group called The Tombstone Legends based in southern California. so, i've been gettin things together and spent the last 8 weeks workin on the most stressful part of the roll..... the spinning! I'd never really done any major spinning or twiiiiiiirling until Jan 2015 so this is some latest practicing with my new prop gun, so no more beatin up the real thing. spinning becomes quite addicting really!
"Watch Out Johnny , I Hear He's Real Fast" 😳
That’s the rumah!
Mike Biehn did his role to perfection !
Favorite part: Ringo:You retired too?
Doc: Not me am in my prime. Ringo: Yeah u look it.🤣🤣
"You must be Johnny Ringo...Look, darlin, it's Johnny Ringo....Should I hate him?"
Sgt Boz You left out: "The Deeaaadliest pistolier since Wild Bill, they say."
im sure of it..... i hate em
@@blueskyz8097 you left out "No" "I am sure of it, I hate him" LoL
"You don't even know him"
"Why Johnny Ringo, you look as though someone just walked over your grave"
"Fight's not with u Holliday"... : )
I was jus funnin about.
Doc: I wasn't
.
@@TheIslandstyle11 "I beg to differ sir, we started a game we never got to finish we play for blood remember?"
@@Grim_Narrator alright lunger
Nailed it. Very impressive.
"I am your huckelberry, that's just my game" LMAO Brilliant stuff Dougie Sunshine!
Hucklebearer…
Ringo still lives! After his days in the wild west, Ringo went to England, learned to play drums, and became a drummer for a top British band!
AZMike He's STILL alive, isn't he?
Yes, and thanks. Made the correction above.
When Ringo grew his mustache around 1967, he looked like a Mexican bandito!
😅
Awesome job bro! I've been looking for Ringo's gun spinning without the cuts it has in the movie and here it is in my recommended!
Recommended?! That's cool! Watch my follow up vid where I perfected it and actually break it down. For some reason that vid doesn't get out as much
@@renole2005 I just did. Thank you for telling me about it, it was very helpful!
@@renole2005 also in my recommended
Nicely done Pard.
WELL DONE SON!, Even the actor could only do the whole thing right through one time in ten!
I don't know how I found myself here 9 years after this video was posted, but I'm glad I found it... this was badass, well done sir
I actually didn't have the correct routine down yet for the live shows but my second vid breaks it down much better, and thanks, buuuuuuuuuddy!!!
Wow! Great to see all in 1 take, that’s nuts! Kudos on the mustache swipe at the end, great touch :-)
Bravo!!! Well done!!!
Mr. Fabian is that you?
Bravo..(clapping).
Awesome skill, cool video.
“You must be Ringo. Look, darlin', Johnny Ringo, the deadliest pistoleer since Wild Bill, they say. What do you think Darlin’? Should I hate ‘im?”
I made a video of doc Holliday's response to this. it's just me spinning a cup
What an amazing actor with such raw talent!! Thanks for sharing the clip!! Loved it!!
That was awesome!
“Evidently Mr. Ringo is an educated man… now I really hate him.”
Great job! Loved the movie "TOMBSTONE." Add to this the fact that you have my favorite band's poster in the background (Stryper, Soldiers Under Command) makes this video even more awesome!
It seems our friend Ringo is an educated man, now I really hate em’ ...
Great line.
@@fanatamon In Vino Veritas
In reality, he wasnt
I really hate ‘im also.
@@lhzook Poetic liscense. I wish I had that liscense.
Best scene ever in a western. Great gun flipping skills. You set the bar .
Very well done! The choreography looks just like one in the film.
He even does the mustache adjustment at the end! Bravo!
Look darlin' it's Johnny Ringo.
👏👏👏bravo most impressive
One of the best scenes in the movie and you got the spins down great.
Thanks! I don't know why nobody seems to see my updated video after this one where i actually did it all way better, faster and break down how to do it........
Outstanding! 🤩
That looks like a 1873 Frontier Revolver. I have one myself, a pretty fine piece of workmanship. Nice spinning btw
Thank buuuddy :)
I just purchased a replica 1873 Frontier. Love it! Been practicing this scene in front of the camera all day!
Colt .45 “Peacemaker”
@@Rodgerwilco91 LOL!!! My father had a .45 Colt “Peacemaker” Co2 pellet gun. Growing up in the early and mid 1960s, westerns were a huge part of our family entertainment. I always wanted to fight like James West in the Wild, Wild West.
Perfeito maravilhoso 👏👏👏👏 Jhony Ringo.....top abraço irmão.🇧🇷
Love the stryper poster as well!!
That's pretty good! Looks exactly like the sequence of pistol spinning movements in the movie!
Nice! Definitely wouldn't want to drop that during a reenactment.
"" Be reminds me of me "" " now I'm sure I hate him " ( DOC HOLIDAY )
What a great scene in the movie. Mike must have worked VERY hard to pull those pistol moves off.
This is way too cool!!
You’re pretty good.
Yeah, that was impressive.
and I can spin a cup
Just as good.
Try that with a REAL revolver lol its heavier than the cup
@@SlavicCinnamonRollie556 Little momentum with a light tin cup... so it has different problems. Try it!
Reputedly MB had been a juggler, which may have been a factor in his eye-watering gun spinning. Anyway, he's THE huckleberry!
Well, juggling would definitely be an asset in a gunfight! It can be very disorienting to the opponent! :😁
Go Jonny!
Given his father blew his own head off via shotgun accident, and young Ringo witnessed it, you'd think he'd refrain from hand fanning.
Well, ya gotta remember, the desert is hot and Ringo was probably fanning his Colt to create a breeze to keep himself cool!
AWESOME !
That was sick!
You the Man ! 👏
This guy is living his dream
Very good, bravo.
Awesome!
Awesome gunplay 🇬🇧
Very cool!
Nice! Ringo lives!
You're no daisy
No daisy at all!
Good shit. Doc still kills you without breaking a proverbial sweat......
Well, I was just tooooo high strung! And that can end a man quick.
If I could do it all over again I'd give Doc a big ol kiss!
Very impressive!
Thanks, I actually have a follow up video months later and more proficient breaking down the entire routine
Got that down real nice!
On your feet soldier
That was some fancy gun slinging...
*You're pretty good*
He’s no Michael Biehn!!!
He doesn't have the crazy look in his eyes but the spinning is quite impressive
Mary J Mastny so?
Right. He's no Biehn but he sure does a good job of it. I tried it with a Heritage and Ruger single six. It ain't easy. Can't do it if you have arthritis that's for sure.
@@paulgonzales3116 He’s a pretty good approximation. Good enough to put on shows and re-enactments!
Hell Yea Brother ! Slick !
Soldiers Under Command!
That was AWESOME. Are you still involved with this re-enactment? has the full re-enactment ever been filmed and put on CZcams?
Actually I think i have a vid of a rehearsal on a school stage but not the same as outside with the backdrop etc. And no, we split up a couple years ago due to a couple married members......ahhmmm...
Excellent
Awesome!!
Very good!
Good job buddy☺
Barney Fife has met his match.
Just like Biehn, spot on brother! Love it !
Look darlin' its Johnny Ringo.
Very impressive! I have a peacemaker that i play with (unloaded) like this...have to do it over the bed so when it invariably falls...
Thought u were him for a second. Nice!
Actually, if Holliday and Ringo would have really ever done such a scene, the edge Holliday gained from that display put on so confidently by Ringo would have shown just about exactly HOW good with his pistol handling Johnny Ringo really was. he may have shown an astute observer, like the movie depicts Holliday as being, his weaknesses. It was perhaps a mistake for RIngo to do that. Also, Ringo would have gained NO information from Holliday's sarcastic cup spinning.
Allen Burt
An astute observation, sir.
Too good
I'm your huckleberry!!! Ha,ha,ha....
Bravo!
Most Excellent!
Would have been cool if Ringo in the movie had done a spin to barrel balance in the palm move.
Why Johnny Ringo. Looks like someone walked over your grave. You're a daisy if you do.
Well done bro, seriously. You got the moves, you got the 'stache. Legend in the making.
Bravo 👏
Pretty sweet
Pretty good. But you’re no Daisy!😎
Well done 🤠👍
Man you have that down bro! It can't be easy
hey buuuuuuddy! Anthony brought me down to jam with you and Resident Cain on guitar some years back. I learned all the songs but things changed i guess eh?
@@renole2005 wow, that was a long time ago. Anthony huh? You have me at a disadvantage sir
I do not recall. That band went through a lot of changes. Is that you playing on your channel? I'll check it out. Hope all is well with you.
@@renole2005 oh I remember you now. You made me use my brain 🧠 lol. You came down from the high desert and you had a shaved head back then right? Nah man you were a great player, but at the time I think we collectively decided to stay with one guitar player and Anthony picked up the slack.
Yeah, i didn't even get to play unfortunately but he mentioned your guy was movin away:( well that's cool, i still love and listen to the cd on my phone! Great songs man!
"I'm your huckleberry."
That was cooler than the other side of the pillow
Nice!
Damn good job👍
Sounds like it could be a plastic version of a Colt. They are light as a feather and easy to spin. And if you drop it, the prop dept has plenty more on hand.
This is actually a functioning pop metal gun from Hollywood Armoury I believe. It weighs the same as the real one, very well balanced!
Very cool, but you forgot the part where he catches a bullet with his forehead! LMAO!
I'm impressed. How long did it take you to nail that trick?
6 months, problem was, we had shows to do before i was proficient, luckily i only dropped once, and proceded to work the crowd a bit comedic like, cuz ya gotta do somethin!
@@renole2005 Great job on this!
@@renole2005 Quite a talent to have! Must be so much fun!!
Awesome
Ringo: " doesn't anyone want to play for blood?" Holliday: " I'm your huckleberry...that's just my game" Ringo: Alright lunger...you go to hell !!" Holliday " say when." Curly: " no Johnny no.. now's not the time ..." He's just drunk that's all"
8-7-21 Val Kilmer's autobiographical documentary on prime video. 40+years of film from his childhood, all his movie sets, recovering from throat cancer, starring in movies with his daughter....
Cool!
i have a cup of tea i will do the doc part when you finish
WOO!!
When you first start trying these spins do you put down a pad or anything so if you drop the gun you don’t damage it?
Haha, well there is a bit of a story with that. 50/50, after gettin a little cocky thinkin i got it then droppin it on the tile? Ouch! That's when i got the fake one with good working action and close in weight and put matching ivory grips on both. I went through a few sets of grips so i wound up scotch taping the broken ones together the lsat time on the spin gun. I still needed the real .45 to fire the one blank into the ground at the end of the show. If i did it all over i would stay over the bed or couch or at least carpet. Oh, and plenty of baby powder on the spin finger, learned the hard way with a big blister
If you remember chuck conners the rifleman. Sammy Davis junior twirls his revolver in like fashion. look it up on you tube very well done.
I saw that episode years ago and couldn't believe it! That was like a 7" barrel too!
Just noticed the Stryper poster. :-)
Haha, I've had that since like 1987, been a fan since 1984 er so........
Don't let Baldwin try that!
Bwahahahahahaha!
Too soon? Absolutely not!!!
Pretty cool but I thought there were more full revolutions on some of the spins.
No, the only thing i lacked during this demo was the draw. I was working on it at the time and got it correct right after this vid, which is a lift out of holster into a forward spin and hammer back n aim all in one motion
Now do it with a small cup like doc. Great job btw 👌
Badass
