- EVGA actually made a 4090 before breaking away from NVIDIA's tyrannical rule... and this would have been one of the most awesome 4090s ever.

Every fiber of my being wants EVGA to team up with AMD!
This is the future
I think there's a chance. They probably are under a non-compete or some such agreement preventing them for some period of time from working with a competitor.
Then there is something very wrong with you.
@@AFpaleoCon or maybe the one with something very wrong with them is you. have the day you deserve.
@@brianm.595 Evga already said a no compete does not exist.
That would be a 🔥 graphics card to own… I’ll miss EVGA graphics cards.
They need to partner with amd
It seems like it would have been the opposite, less 🔥than any of the actual 4090s because it has the power connector on the end so the cable doesn't need to be bent as much. (Thus literally less fire because it would be less likely to fail)
Aren't all 4090 potential❤🔥to own?
I do miss EVGA as well.
EVGA haven't gone anywhere! If you all actually think that EVGA have stopped manufacturing GPU's you all are naive. EVGA will be producing GPU's next year. It's insane for anyone to think that EVGA just going to cut off 80% of their GPU revenue and not replace that 80% with anything.
@@spankbuda7466 That's just speculation because there was no official statement about this. The only official statement was: "We're in talks with Intel" but that could just mean Motherboards.
I feel like EVGA sending out this card like this is a big F you to Nvidia and I'm all here for it

Too rite EVGA & AMD RDNA would be an amazing addition
Around 2012 I bought 2 EVGA 590s They were great. One of them died randomly in 2014 and EVGA sent me a 670. I then emailed them and was like well I had them SLI'd and they let me exchange my working 590 for another 670. I love EVGA and I love their products. I was very sad when I heard they are no longer making GPUs.
so the card died within the guarantee and they sent you a worse card?
@@PaulPunk23LP I have a bad memory but I feel they did not send me a worse card, maybe it was 760 *shrug* I was happy they were willing to help.

The fact EVGA sent out a card to GN and yourself speaks volumes. I respect it, hopefully they show the finger to the industry.
The fact that it "exists" must mean that the decision to cut ties with Nvidia must have been a last minute one
@@deamontana596 And a major decision at that. No small thing to say “fuck you nVidia” god I hope they strike a deal with AMD Radeon
@@woogiewoogie0012 But atleast to me, "next gen graphics" would seem like an intel marketing thing so either Intel and evga or Amd and evga
@@woogiewoogie0012 I agree ! What's really saddening for me, is that they were so advanced with the card, they basically developed working samples, being inches away from mass production, when they pulled the plug. I'm fairly certain that they had working models, for the RTX 4080 as well, both variants. Probably, even for lower end models. What's even more sad, in my opinion is that such an enthusiast and a professional, like Vince "Kingpin" Lucido, whose work, experience and knowledge in the field is extremely important, is not a part of it anymore. Really, really do hope EVGA team up with AMD.
NVIDIA is already giving the finger to everyone lol.
Insane how small they managed to get their 4090 compared to some other partners. Man.
You mean their “not 4090” 😂
It’s probably loud AF like all their other cards, their fans are trash.
To be fair, the temps on the founders are really low, so I'm sure most of the coolers are a bit overkill
I mean just look at the necessary fan speed to keep the card cool.
Its prob. a 450W cooler

i feel like amd is price/performance wise way better than nvidia and also the driver program from amd is way way way way way better than what nvidia has and i dont even know how nvidias is so trash
i dont think EVGA would feel comfortable with the amd drivers and issues, would be big step up for them to make it work and without stressing.

I'll buy an amd card if they go team red. They have the best customer support and prices for good quality.
I wonder if they seen the problem with the connector. That's why they left nividia. Because of some NDA they couldn't say anything.
since they aren't licenced and selling cards, they aren't bound by nvidia's weird restrictions. I hope they build some one off bespoke card, that kicks ass, get kingpin to dominate some OC benchmarks, and just leave it there as a FU, like this is what we could do, but no one will ever see cards like this because of nvidia.
Currently got a nvidia 3060Ti and I had the option between evga, gigabyte and msi, out of all evga got my attention
Yeah dude, I loved how my 3090 broke due to their negligence, and they didn't even pay for insured shipping (or any shipping at all) or ship it back as RMA so I had to pay over £300 for import tax. Such a good company, the 970's they put out with cut off heat pipes were amazing too!
EVGA may be gone but it will never be forgotten.
Always been a class of their own with build quality...RIP
or come back on AMDs side...The Gaming world needs you!
EDIT: Judging by all the comments EVGA holds the power to a great marketshare in the GPU-Realm.
If ever for some miraculous Reason EVGA decides to start making GPUs again- Nvidia might be in one hell of a Pickle.
I'd love it if EVGA were still making video cards, but I don't see it happening again. I mean, just think about the reason they stopped. If they weren't making a viable profit margin on Nvidia cards, which are priced higher (and sell in larger quantities), then what makes you think that they'd make enough of a profit margin on AMD cards, which are priced lower (and sell in lower quantities)?
As long as their other products continue to sell as well as before, then I can't see them needing to get back into video cards. But, if their other products start to do worse, then they might need to get back into video cards as a form of marketing exposure to get more people thinking about their brand.
If EVGA becomes a partner with AMD I would switch over and give Radeon a run.

Yes companies are out for money but some can be out for money and provide great customer service.
@@stuartfury3390 Amazing customer service, if there was an issue they WOULD fix it and sometimes even if it was your fault.
During the entire GPU scarcity issue they actually set up a queue system for customers instead of throwing them out into the wild to be scalped right away.
Because of that, they were fairly comparatively cheaper.
Their build quality in general has been very high, and again if there was an issue, they'd fix it.
they were just a good GPU company, that's it. The rest are super scummy in relative terms.

Because of the size of all the new cards. The power should be at the back. That way it goes directly into the case. No bend would ever be necessary and the plug size could be bigger as well. Also if you wanted to make a bracket from the top of the case to the card then it should also be a mount for a temp. screen. That way it could also cover all the wires going into the case. Up top there is a pair of support bars that partition the power supply and top bezel from the mobo tray section and basically the rest of the guts of the computer. It has some small holes pre-drilled or punched for something that never shipped but it looks like it would work with this system. Pretty cool. I also like the BIOS switch LED. Probably a useful diagnostic lamp but even better that the main power connection was sent to the rear. It's pretty typical that when you have good designers, you have engineers that can keep up. Nothing out of the ordinary there.
The early engineering builds are great. That's a really clean looking card, pity they aren't making any GPU's soon.
Very cool that you have it.
Who made the not 4090 intro beat??? Another great video jay!!
That size screen with that little space between you and it is hilarious 😄 Say goodbye to your eyesight!
The first time I thought this was gonna be click bait, and it really wasn't. Got me really surprised with this Jay. Awesome that they sent you this
This is amazing to see, and kind of a final send off to EVGA. Maybe in a parallel universe they would've continued. Farewell, EVGA. It's been great.
Farewell? They're not bankrupt lol
@@TheEchelon Not yet. I am so scared for them Honestly... That decision might just have put the first nail in the coffin for them, and unless they manage to turn into a Corsair-Like company (they have the potential...)... I don't see them being with us for much longer... Unless they team up with AMD :))
Why are you all keep making these dumb comments as if EVGA closed their doors? EVGA have not went anywhere! EVGA will be manufacturing the 4000 series GPU's (if they're not already) for next year. It's not profitable for EVGA today to manufacture these 4000 series GPU's when the global economy, wars, and energy/raw material crisis is going on.
@@TheEchelon as poeople above said not yet gpus were THEIR BIGGEST market share BY A HUGE margin, now they are no longer doing that. so they will need to live out of what? the renamed psus and motherboards?.... they wont survive without making the company much smaller and they were already small.
In a parallel universe the card would be a 4080 for $500 and released last year.
This is probably my dream GPU.
One feature i'll dearly miss when my Vega Frontier will be replaced are the leds on the front indicating the load and the little bios led here comes close enough in my book.
Man...
Love that sign off, great last sentence.
Been using EVGA since the 8800GTS, they were the most reliable cards.. NEVER had one fail
I love EVGA's look. I really hope they decided to jump in on RDNA3 and that would boost AMD's market share.
I was so sad to hear EVGA announce they were done with graphics cards! Love their designs and that cooling!!!!
I had only one 3080 EVGA for a few months, but that card was sublime. Sad to see them go.
I really really hope EVGA will make Radeons in the nearest future... that would be EPIC 😍
