$3.29 is still expensive. About $2.62 in Central Texas.
Sheesh how low did it get if its that now haha
@@tomwelshshore 2.79 over here now :(
@@avocadogaming3942 now?
I always enjoy road trip in America and the journey is as much fun as reaching the destination.
Awesome road trip. East Coast is a different country. The small towns are where it is at so make sure to tour around.
Good old I-81 Heck a lot of trucks.
That's in Great Bend/Hallstead, PA. I know exactly where that intersection is, been there a few times on road trips. In fact, I bought a pile of crap Porsche 944 about 30-40 minutes away from there and used that same gas station to full it up for the 1st time and drove it to Syracuse, Ny... It broke down 3 times on that trip 😂
@Marshmallow Man why don’t they break down all the time in Europe?
@@peterfireflylund yes they do
If you're on the east coast I expect you guys to do a video on The Tail of the Dragon within the year or I'll be sad.
Yeah, any of the Appalachian driving roads
They haven't done any driving videos in over a year
why didn't they let me or their viewers know earlier? They just moved without telling us, and didn't even give ample reasons, extremely rude
California has the glitz and glam but the East coast has it’s own type of charm. A drive in the Appalachian mountains when the leaves are changing colors for the fall season is so blissful.
Welcome to the East Coast! You should come down South & check out NC, SC, VA & TN some time. All are great roads & scenery for bike trips
You'd probably really like the Great Smoky Mountains or other parts of the Blue Ridge Mountains
Never thought you two would end up in my neck of the woods xD PA has been exploding with people over the last year hope you guys can find a quiet spot with some land! Also prepare for some incredible roads, some god awful ones too :)
Greetings fellow Pennsylvanian. Yes, good people here.
Don't forget about Wawa, Sheetz and Royal Farms
PA has been getting worse over the past decade though. Sure, it's pretty solid overall, but SC is the place to be.
Yeah same here! Welcome to Pennsylvania
*Visit FLW's Falling Water while you're there.*
So cool to watch a South African - Chinese - European - American dude opinion! YEY!
3:36 minutes! What a tease! Can't wait for more!
Awesome time to be up in that area
Is the Firebird still in California? You know, the one that has been at the paint shop for so long?
Yes, I'll be flying back to fetch it and will do a proper road trip in it
You're at the Sunoco in Hallstead, PA. Very easy to find you once I saw Dobb's in the background.
Grew up in Lewisburg, but spent some time up in Montrose. I think I've been through Hallstead.
And the Tim Horton's across the street. Right off 81 to state 171 and you're there. Hallstead makes the video.
Awesome, I've still never done a literal coast-to-coast road trip. I once moved from Florida to San Diego, but I stopped in Arkansas for a month en route.
You should do a literal littoral road trip.
Longest road trip I ever took was Chicago to the Black Hills region of South Dakota and Chicago to Atlantic City. Both about the same distance. I will be planning a road trip to Arizona soon. 26 hours.
I just contributed to the cause. There's a whole lot of land between Cali. and the east coast. I would have been proud if you guys had decided to set up shop in the Louisville, Ky area. It's a big city with all the big city benefits but a short drive and you're in Gods country (certain people would have a harder time finding you). Fuel is Cheaper, rent and real estate is cheaper and this part of the country has a thriving Car culture (No Cali. Bull *hit), Louisville is the Hub with the Street Rod Nationals, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, there's cruise in everywhere in the summer, everybody wants a Rod of some kind, Hot Rods, Street Rods, Rat Rods, Muscle cars, etc. Wish you luck with what ever endeavor you choose. Love your shows, all of them.
My siblings, my mom, and I are all west coast natives, the cost of living has gotten too high. Starting in January 2020, we all left for Texas. Best decision ever made! Folks are so much nicer, cost of living is so much lower. Also, the lockdown in Texas ended in May 2020 and never came back, been going to concerts, buffets, church, and sporting events, most folks have not adopted the fear and it feels so refreshing. If you are going to west Pennsylvania it's pretty similar, just be ready for the brutal winter!
Welcome to the East Coast! I think you will find a good combination of work contacts and more reasonable price of living arrangements...and friendly people too. I live in the Metro Atlanta area but Pennsylvania/Upstate New York have some beautiful areas to enjoy. If you live in the right county you won't even have to do Emissions Testing on your Worthless Whips! Looking forward to your upcoming content. :)
Not in the Northeast which is as expensive as California if not more so.
1:58 Pennsylvania?? you should've arranged to meet the guys from RCR (Regular Car Review) that would be a cool crossover.
THIS!!!
@@mikaelhg It's not like he's going to turn the truck into a boat and cross the Atlantic in it. There are not enough petrol stations on the way anyway.
they said they are traveling to russia someday, I can only dream of garage 54 collaboration
@@vincentas1 Sjem privjet rebjata 😀 but that's about all I understand from what that dude is saying...They got some cool vids but that overdub is so annoying...I wish they put English subtitles on their videos but that probably costs more money....
@@Danny_Boel the voice over guy is the best, any other dub sucks
I once drove the northern route from Chicago to Seattle. Not being American, I absolutely loved it. Found gems like Deadwood or Little Bighorn.
You should double check your speed and mpg considering the taller tires you're running. Your speedo and odometer may not be accurate if you haven't corrected them for the tire size and resulting taller gearing. You might be getting better mileage than you think. Good Luck!
Awesome welcome to the east coast!! From Ohio here. You've made it in perfect time for fall tree colors
Hopefully you guys start making videos up this way, would be cool to see some familiar places, keep up the good work and stay safe! Northern PA is a beautiful place
I always wondered why you setup in CA. Arizona would have been better, But Have fun in the east!
Not worth the heat
You're stopped in Halstead, PA there. I used to have to drive between NYC and Toronto almost every weekend. It's a horribly boring drive, but I'd stop at Dobbs Country Kitchen in the background there. Great food! I don't miss the drive but I miss the food. Good luck with your new home.
*Miss you guys. Just watch the Beach Monkey story. Your storytelling is top notch.*
Front camera cool addon 👍
Welcome to the East Coast, Winston! Hope you like it here and say Hi when you are in NYC
It'd been long enuf since you guys posted that my smart TV made me spel out the entire 'worthless whips' phrase on my remote!
Driving non-stop. Welcome to my past life. It's a big country with lots to see.
Nice rear camera install on that massive truck, definitely a useful addition.
Wonderful. As someone born and raised in New York, there's a wonderful places around there. Where exactly are you going to end up? Don't forget, you are going to experience winter. Real winter
be careful on the road. Hope you enjoy the east coast. You'll especially love the fall weather and the colors of fall.
Super cool seeing you film in my neck of the woods.
The Beast of the East looks good. I was guesstimating about 10mi/gal, but I see I was a bit too optimistic. Regardless, Winston, welcome to the East and while it'd be great to have you here in NY, PA has some considerable advantages regarding costs and taxes. I hope you find yourself settling in quickly. Take care, W.
I haven't recently had any notifications from you. I had no idea you were moving but I know you said California was expensive.
Can anyone tell me if you got the TransAm back?
Cool Vlog! 👍 I'm here because I browsed through your ADV China "channels."
Good to hear the move is going well. You guys deserve a well-earned break! Peace x
Welcome to the best coast. A lot of great hiking, biking, and driving opportunities on the east coat. Especially from West Virginia down through the north west corner of South Carolina. Along with several caverns you can visit and Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water house. And if you really want an adventure make sure you check out the Appalachian Trail.
I have to say that these guys are getting really good at integrating their green screen background footage! 😉
Congratulations!! Great to hear.
Moving closer to your Falun Gong sponsors on the east coast 😝
nice that you are moving east coast I am at the east coast. Look forward to seeing your new digs.
That is so CRAZY!!!
WELCOME, Winston!!! WELCOME!!!
Thanks for the update.
Safe travels and welcome to the East coast!
1:27. Hahaha w
You were about to say "only 393 yuan"
Welcome to the east coast! Just in time for fall too. Can't wait to see more videos. If you find yourself in Virginia, be sure to check out the blue ridge parkway. It's an awesome twisty road with incredible views.
At least you can get fuel, in the UK we're currently screwed due to panic buying.
Wouldn't last long with that Viper here in the UK :) ... to be fair I drive a V8 Camaro which does about 14mpg, that's not seen much action recently...
Certified Gold!!!!!😎
You could always have moved to Texas :). I have lived in Indiana, Texas, Kansas and now Nevada. I'm sure you will conquer America soon!
Looking forward to seeing more content of you guys with that truck
yeah, this channel seems more like a serpentZA vlog channel now, stay awesome!
Hope you love it just as much as California as you will be living there now!
It took me doing a deep dive on ADV podcast channel to hear about this one. You guys should bring this up more, I bet other fans would like to hear about this channel too.
I’ve been working my way through the back episodes and am hoping to see more car videos. I had a new 1967 Chevelle Malibu 327, but left it in Louisiana when I took a job in NYC - a long time ago. Loved that car! It was great to work on - before all the emissions junk was added to cars. The Trans Am ended up looking fantastic, but watching you do all the work you did reinforces my determination that my next car will be an EV. Working in anything in new cars is just about impossible. Keep that Trans Am safely in the garage this winter!
New one coming out tomorrow
When you two start riding again, make sure you go through North Carolina. While there, you have to go to Britt’s Donut Shop in Carolina Beach.
It’s the best donut ever.
East coast, west coast, it's all the U.S.A.; so, can't go too far wrong. Upstate New York is drop dead gorgeous. I was born in L.A., then spent thirteen years in Maryland, lots of time in the south (mainly Florida) and then back to California (northern). The secret is too bail to Florida or Mexico during those brutal winter months in the northeast.
Being on the east coast, you guys should plan a motorcycle trip into Canada when things get back to normal. A few of us can join the ride for a bit if you pass through our area.
Drove XC from NJ to California 20+ years ago. Still in CA unfortunately, but job and family are here. I don't miss the winters and the humidity. You'll love the rural areas.
Welcome to the East Coast!
Welcome to the best side of the US! The east coast is awesome I'm sure you guys will love it!
You might enjoy Lowell, Massachusetts. It's a unique South East Asian/East Coast mill town experience..
This is like the old SerpentZa
You guys are moving to my state! Welcome in advance!
Fellow California CZcamsr Jaret Campisi also moved to Pennsylvania! He lived in Santa Barbara and made Ducati videos but the newly imposed 40% tax law affected him greatly.
was there a video where Matt and Winston explain why they decided to move? Maybe i missed it?
Don't think so.
They divorced their wives and are getting married together. Lol..
@@cmanlovespancakes hahaha
They mentioned they will be releasing a video about it on their “ADVChina podcast” channel soon, but they’re still in the process of moving, which is inevitably causing some delays.
Yeah, gas here in VA jumped up about .20/gal again this past week. Bit of a surprise.
The East Coast definitely has tons of solid options to have a home base. I trust you'll manage!
Hope to see new videos about your new place
Very nice. Glad you are getting out of California.
OMG! I just got back from a business trip to find out that you moved to the East Coast... Welcome... :)
Wow, just maybe, I might have a chance to meet up with you guys!
You guys stay Awesome... and safe ;)
Whatever happened to the firebird that was being painted?
Almost done!
Great for you guys. . but I don't really see the wives enjoying Pennsylvania too much after having lived in California and mega-populated China.
Welcome to the better coast! Hopefully you can make it down to the Carolinas.
Best wishes for the move.
I wonder how you transported all your different cars and bikes from one end of the country to the other.
And whatever happened to those Japanese 50cc trikes you bought?
If you are going through New Jersey and you stop for gas, you can't pump it yourself. It's a state law. Yes, it's weird and annoying.
Same in Oregon. Weird.
Welcome to the East! Join us in the Southeast sometime!
hey winston regular here is $2.90 per gallon in fort worth , texas
looks like you are near Scranton, heading towards New York. Get ready for Winter, especially if you have never experienced a winter in upstate NY or the north east.
What is the latest on the Trans Am?
I'm surprised you two moved to CA in the first place.
I was looking around and thinking, "hmm, that kinda looks like PA," great you like the area
Glad to hear your moving out of CommiFornia Winston 👍
keep em comin & save travels
More freedom awaits you! Congrats on the move!
yeah! mix it up, lots of great riding n reporting w another culture.. safe traveling W
I'm sad that you've abandoned this channel. I like you guys (you and c-milk) and I love cars. I was always anxiously waiting for the next episode. I mean i get it. The views weren't there. But it's a shame. Great content for us car enthusiasts.
Wow. Looking at your v10 Ram. I remember when you got it. It looks REALLY nice now. Good job refurbishing it.
Id really like for you guys to make some more long-format traveling/riding videos. Just like you did in China, but in America or any other place.
Had no idea they went out to the promise land of PA just stay out of Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, and philly then you'll be a okay and maybe avoid Scranton if you go north
That looks like it is around the 80 fwy near Scranton in Pennsylvania.
Welcome to New York Winston! I'm up in Ithaca if you guys wanna hit the road before it gets too cold. Just lmk!
Winston, You need a pickup with a Diesel. Petrol will screw you over in cost. I hear good things about Cummins Diesel motors. A future video on one of those would be awesome. Good luck on the move
Hope you guys do many road trips around america, like the ones you did of china. Maybe you guys could hire a large RV and travel around all the states. Anyway good luck with all the stuff you are doing. Keep it up guys.
Sunoco 25119 State Route 11 Exit 230, I-81, Hallstead, PA 18822. It was a super-easy find.
Good luck!
Welcome to the East! Stop by DC sometime.
I love road trips
Winston I hope you still have the Firebird? This is the first I got wind of your move. Best of luck.
Yes it's still being painted!
