Chrollo was crying because until that point the troupe didn’t know Uvo was dead, they just assumed so because he hadn’t returned. The fortune confirmed it. Showing how Chrollo cares about the members
Chrollo cried because he just got confirmation that Uvo was dead through the fortune. Remember the last they knew of him he went off to fight the chain user but they never knew for sue if he was dead or was just being held captive
I completely understand the misunderstanding, "rises" can totally be interpreted as "zombie" or "brought back to life" but it just means Uvo going to the afterlife. he dead.

@@belancicmno it's meant to be a poem. "When the eleventh moon quietly rises" refers to uvo finally resting in peace (possible indicating heaven). And that will happen only after the troupe play the requim. That's why chrollo left a tear cause its the first time its confirmed uvo is dead. And he said "personally I believe in ghosts, that's why I'll do as he wanted" chrollo believes uvo is literally with him. That's why in the end he spoke to him. Lifting up his hands to guide uvo to the sky

En is the ability Nobunaga used and talked about in ep 50, when the kids escaped, where you expand your aura far away from your body in a circle, with you in the middle. And you will then be able feel/know everything and anyone that enters your En, and all there movements. Nobunagas En size is only 4 meters but that's because it works well with his Katana and fighting style. Most people who are considered nen masters are capable of expanding their En up to 50 meters. So Zeno using En in a 100m wide building and saying he could "easily handle 3 times as much as that" is pretty insane and shows how talented he is.

Basically those who are masters at En can never be sniped from long range. They will know the moment a bullet or any long rage attack enters their En and can dodge immediately.

@@OutcastPyros Not really, its not like Nen users have their EN on 24/7. If they did they would'nt be able to use ren/ken and fight. If you remember, ***CHIMERA ANT ARC SPOILERS*** Pitou deactivated their EN in order to prepare and engage Zeno and Netero. ***SPOILER OVER*** . Only Nobunaga fights good with his EN on, because it pairs well with his Katana and he can slice them. Otherwise most people are more vulnerable while using EN. We always see people stop using it when preparing to fight. Also its a very exhausting technique, like Zeno said, so people cant just have it on all the time.
When Chrollo conjures the mantle, we can see a picture of Owl (the Shadow Beast working for the Mafia) in his book. The mantle is his ability, he used it to empty the safe where the auction items were stored, and later we saw it compressing the Troupe's car.
i still don't get why Chrollo using that ability, is he trying to "store" Silva and Zeno?

@@ilhamadigunawan5264 The reason for using fun fun cloth can be justified from Owl's second scene, where he attacked Troupe's car & captured Nobunaga.
Unlike Shizuku's Blinky, Owl's Cloth can capture living beings. That means once you are caught under Fun Fun Cloth, it's game over no matter how strong you are. It is perhaps the only ability Chrollo has to defeat two strong opponents at once.
If Zoldycks were idiots, and decided to attack Chrollo like they were doing before (in close quarters), he would have captured at least one of them. That would mean he can use stronger abilities to escape or defeat the second guy.
Remember, he entered this fight to steal their abilities. He could have easily avoided them & let Illumi do the work, making this fight completely unnecessary

When Chrollo is chillin in the base with the Troupe he is just reading normal books, nothing related to his Nen ability even though the fact that he is so into books and knowledge of course is the reason why is Nen ability is a book, hoped I’d explained myself well 😅
Silva is a monster
In the past he killed a troupe member and he even fought chrollo one on one and neither of them could win,
Silva told his kids to stay away from troupe cause he knew the kids could not handle them
Remember Illumi is equal to Hisoka, so that man is already on the Troupes level
Zeno = Chrollo > Silva > Hisoka > Illumi
All these characters are in the same tier with not THAT much separating them imo

Most people's counter argument is "that can't be true cause Silva is young and ripped and he's the head" well from all we know being the head of the zoldycks isnt powerscale based. And him being young and ripped doesn't mean anything in terms of nen

@@bohdanpyzh2712 He's not in the anime but Zeno's grandfather (Killua's great great grandfather) Maha, is in the manga and helps kill the 10 Dons. He's about the same age as Netero and Netero is apparantly the only person to ever survive a fight with him.
We haven't seen him fight but on that alone I'd place money on him being the strongest Zoldyck.
@kc_h7h the way silva dispatched of Cheetu with 0 diff is underrated. He one shotted him, turned his skull to jelly and left a crater in the ground.
He defeated a previous troupe member and survived a chrollo fight already.
We need to see more of him but he's defo up there imo.
But I agree zeno is the strongest and his nen experience and knowledge is crazy.
Other shit like being able to casually do 250m En and the fact that netero immediately went for him for help against monsters like the Chimera helps his case a lot.
Like i said in the list I gave none of the characters stomp the other - there isn't going to be a dominant fight (outside of chrollo's prep vs hisoka obviously) in a random scenario amongst them.
That's what I like about the story - togashi introduces these characters but they're all fairly relative to each other and monsters in their own right.
They're in that upper tier that's sandwiched between the likes of Morel, Knuckle, Bisky, shoot etc below and the likes of ging, botobai (?) Etc above.

The power that Chrollo used in the battle against Silva and Xeno was not from the troupe, it was from the guy named Owl from the shadow beasts

Here's my analysis of Silva and Zeno vs Chrollo fight:
Chrollo main intention is to steal both Silva and Zeno's abilities, or at least one of them, so at first he plan to unconscious them with his poisonous knife, unfortunately this doesn't work on them, and his intention is exposed by zeno. Seeing his plan is exposed, Chrollo trying new way to catch them alive, and that is by using mantle ability that he stole from one of the Shadow Beast that has the ability to trap anything inside like what happens to Nobunaga as he failed to get out of the car when the shadow beast attack them. Chrollo tries to trap them in that mantle, unfortunately his plan is also exposed by Zeno with only a very small reaction from Chrollo as he tries to close the gap between him and Zeno, so Zeno only use long range attack. Seeing he has no chance of catching them alive in 2 vs 1 situation, he closes his book and waits for Illumi to do his job, so when he meets either Silva or Zeno again in the future, they won't know any of his abilities he has in his book.
Chrollo has such amazing battle IQ, but man Zeno with his experience making his battle IQ on another level.
And sorry for my poor English :)
You can also see Silva's battle IQ in this fight. When he's following Chrollo, waiting for an opening, he quickly activate a strong Ren just to make Chrollo focus his attention on him for a fraction of second, allowing Zeno to catch Chrollo with his dragon lance. Hxh fights really are awesome imo
I agree with this, and that is why Zeno said that Chrollo disrespected him by fighting not with the intention to kill. Zeno realized what Chrollo was doing the whole time.

Doesn't chrollo need to fulfill conditions before he can steal someone's ability and I believe one of those conditions was that the guy he is stealing the ability from must explain how it works themselves if you don't tell him what your ability does he can't steal it

It never is actually revealed in the anime and the manga but togashi gave us the conditions of chrollos ability on a hxh volume it Has 4 conditions 1st is he needs to see his opponents ability 2nd he needs to ask the user a question about nen 3rd chrollo needs to make his opponents palm touch bandits secret 4th all 3 of those conditions need to be achieved in under 1 hour crazy that chrollo can pull that off
it's actually not that hard if he got the troupe by his side, they can defeat someone with an interesting ability then have feitan toture him to make him fulfill chrollo's conditions willingly. but against opponents like the zoldyck yeah it must very hard to do these conditions
Really not that hard unless the opponent both knows about his ability and is strong enough to not get forced into playing into it anyway.

The episode is so much better when you fully understand the poem. Every reaction of chrollo makes sense. Why he left a tear. Why he was interested in neons perceptive of the dead. Why he says "personally I believe in ghosts". The quality of the episode multiplies 10 fold. I'm not gonna lie. When I first watched the episode I only got it half but on rewatch I was actually shook of how well written and orchestrated this episode is. In my opinion this deserves a emmy even though its not american

In the dub version for example Chrollo said "personally I believe we have souls", which made the scene better in my opinion
@@yousifbolifa2904 idk it takes away the point a bit. Cause after he says "that's I'll do as he wanted, wreak havoc" unless you figure he means uvo's soul is still roaming around but that's hard to get from that. When he says "I personally believe in ghosts" it's much more clear

Chrollo's ability is the embodiment of the Phantom Troupe's MO (stealing) and the book is a callback to his love of reading.

The reason chrollo was brought to tears after reading his fortune is because that basically confirmed that uvo is dead. They had no proof of what happened to him.
Also the part about uvo rising (..while the eleventh moon rises) isn't about him returning or being revived, it's about him heading over to the other side or something like that.
A Nen Ability is made by the person so its always very well written for important characters .... You can see how Chrollo is always reading so that just manifests in his ability being associated with book .The characterisation of people in HxH is always done by what they are currently doing and not backstories so its easy to miss but is SOO WELL DONE .
These two episodes were a treat and we were treated❤😊

You might have misunderstood but Chrollo STEALS ability, not copies them. Meaning if he steals yours, you can't use your ability anymore. So he doesn't have the ability of Troupe Members.

When Zeno say's kill him even if you have to kill me. That's how strong his resolve is... which you'll come to learn in hunter x hunter is a massive part of any strong nen user.

En is one of the terms about Nen you should remember.
Some aren't that important, but En comes up a few times and is important to understand.
Nobunaga introduced us to it. It's when you extend aura from your body to sense things, essentially turning your aura into a radar. You can sense anything that crosses your En, even a person in Zetsu or inanimate objects that don't contain aura.
Zeno's En is the biggest we've seen so far, and him stating that he could do triple what he did is an indication just how much of a monster he is as that would be a 300m radius which - minimal spoilers - is a lot more than what would qualify as having mastered it.
As for Nobunaga, we don't know how far his En goes since he probably doesn't need to go much further than the reach of his sword in general.
It's noteworthy that some classes seem to have an easier time with En than others.
If you have trouble with terms, here's a little something:
Zetsu: Nullifies Aura, meaning no nen output; application: Hiding. Special application from Kurapika: Force the opponent into using Zetsu so they can't use nen at all.
In: Basically advanced Zetsu. Doesn't nullify aura but you can think of it as using Zetsu on something conjured to hide it (as Kurapika did with his chains).
Gyo: Focusing aura in a place, usually the eyes, to enhance that place; example: Use Gyo to see through In.
Hatsu: Doing stuff with your aura beyond just raising it. When Hisoka uses Bungee Gum, which btw. has the properties of rubber and gum, that's a Hatsu. When Zeno uses Dragon Head, that's a Hatsu. When Shalnark (Armin) controls people with his device, that's a Hatsu.
Gon using his aura to block is not a Hatsu, he's still just doing 3 of the 4 principles + Gyo at this point, nothing beyond it.
Gon Hasn’t met Killuas Dad and Granpa the group only met his mum, Illumi and younger brother
“Armins” control power is indeed sick but wait till you see what his other power is. Since y’all like Dragonball so much I think you will love it.
I mean, *technically* it's the same power, just with a different condition set into it. Which is true for most Nen users that have multiple abilities, it's rare for someone to learn 2 completely fundamentally different techniques

We were introduced to En last time. It's the ability Nobunaga used to try and search for Killua and Gon, when he expanded his Nen aura out.
Remember that measuring 'strength' against the Zoldycks is a tricky exercise, because they are not fighters. They are assassins. They have no interest in a protracted fight with a strong opponent to prove how good they are: they will use whatever dirty tricks to kill their target as soon as they can. Including sacrificing each other to do it. Silva and Zeno could absolutely be trading blows with the heavy hitters in the series, but that's not how they roll.
at this point in the show, I'd say Silva is easily in top 5 strongest characters you have seen, top 3 even.
It always baffles me that Kurapika could've opened that door and saw Chrollo, instead of Silva and Zeno. That would've led to dark things 💀

This is the first time that the death of Uvo was confirmed to Chrollo - that's what led him to shed a tear.
Carlie and Ange: You are wrong about chrollo condition, they are not same as kurapika’s, kurapika conditions are more like contract which he has put up to get stronger nen abilities in exchange for his life but chrollo conditions are not contract but the way he can use it on someone. So if he want to steal someone’s nen abilities he can’t just steal it by looking but he has to understand that ability and how it works and some other conditions are to be met.

Conditions are so interesting because if you want a specific power for specific situations you will need conditions, but it obviously holds you back in some ways and possibly leaves you defenseless and extremely disadvantaged outside of that situation. So some opt to use it for their goals while others, someone like Uvo, does not bar himself by any conditions and just uses straight forward strength and defense at ridiculous levels to be useful in any situation. A true enhancer. At first conditions seem like a no brainer, you get stronger, but you come to find out that any decent conditions worth having are such a pain you might just get killed for trying to use them. And you are far less adaptable, so possibly not actually stronger in the end

to be fair in this fight zeno and silva where just feeling chrollo out,since they coudnt really take any chances with him, silva knows chrollo powers are very unpredictable.

Can someone please inform them that Hisoka never revealed the abilities of any Troupe members to Kurapika? They have been saying that for a few episodes now which is kinda annoying to hear all the time. Also, why do they underestimate Kurapika this much? They have seen what he can do. They thought he didn't stand a chance against Uvogin and Kurapika proved them wrong and dominated the fight and they still think he won't put up a fight against Chrollo, which can go either way tbh.

"He's listened to him every other time" Kurapika is being pulled between his short term plan and his long term plan. His short term plan is to kill as many of the spiders as he can, but he also needs to rise in the mafia to figure out where all of the eyes of his brethren are so if he disobeys too much, he'll lose his mafia connections. But on the other hand, can he resist if a troupe member is just in front of him? Kurapika looks level-headed but he's really not.
Ah the famous Hisoka vs Chrollo vs Zeno vs Silva vs Illumi debate xD The answer is that we don't know exactly but they're all around peak level for a human. They're similar-ish. Silva and Zeno going 2v1 against Chrollo is not an indication that he's stronger than them 1v1. Not at all. But it is an indication that he is such a threat that they don't want to take any risk (risk in term of risking to fail the job, so Zeno saying "kill me with him if you have to" is not a risk through that lens). The Zoldycks are assassins, not fighters. They need to know how to fight of course, they're absolute monsters at it, but in term of philosophy, they're not interested in having a good fight like Hisoka would, they're interested in making the kill a sure thing.
In some ways that make them stronger than Hisoka, especially since Hisoka will not hesitate to hinder himself to have fun (having his arms cut off for example, Machi explains that he could have won that fight without going that far), but that doesn't mean they're necessarily stronger fighters (although they might be!)
In term of physical strength, Chrollo is probably the weakest of the bunch. The anime never shows it but the manga published the troupe's arm wrestling's rankings and Chrollo is middle of the pack, weaker than Machi for example and much weaker than Hisoka (for reference Hisoka is third, with Uvo being first and Phinks, the guy who was literally turning heads this episode, being second). Chrollo is a specialist, and his enhancement is probably weaker than emitters, enhancers or transmuters which explains why when Zeno concentrate his aura into his hand, Chrollo thinks "I won't be able to block that".
But similarly to the idea that the 2v1 doesn't mean the Zoldycks are weaker, Chrollo having less physical/enhancement strength doesn't mean he's a weaker fighter, it just means he has to rely more on his abilities and turns out he has tons of stolen abilities in his books which makes him ultra-polyvalent and very dangerous to people like the Zoldyck who don't like unpredictable elements. So yeah the overall answer is that there is no conclusive answer beside that these people are all dangerous enough to each other that they could probably all win depending on the conditions.
Chrollo doesn’t have his companions abilities. He doesn’t copy abilities he steals them so whoever abilities he steals they can not use it anymore. Also,I agree with carlie I don’t like kurapikas condition they are very extreme.

En is an application of nen. It's a combination of ten and ren if i remember correctly. It essentially is a forcefield that can be magnified and lets the nen user know whoever enters their vicinity. So when Zeno says his En can reach around 300 meters, he can sense whoever comes within 300 meters of him.

En is the radar field thing that Nobunaga used. His instant sword attack sensory range thing. Nobunaga's En field is only a few meters. Grandpa Zeno's range is 400 meters.

The translationg was a bit weird in the eleventh moon "rises" i think it'd be more like "ascends" as in, is going up to the afterlife. He "quietly rose" (to the afterlife) because he didnt rat out his comrades, he stayed quiet and died for it.

Ive seen other people's reaction of chrollo vs the silva and you guys said that kurapika could have died but a lot of other people said that kurapika could have killed chrollo if he entered the room and met him
I think Kurapaika could kill the whole troop by himself. He is a hard counter

So talking about Silva's power level i feel is going to be hard because everything in this world revolvers around give and take.
From this episode we can gleam hes physically strong and fast and has a nen ability that has an extreme power strength level. But it seems as if a foe that is as fast as him could dodge his own nen ability so he cant hit people who are on his level unless they are being held down in some way. However he is at the top of a part of the world that knows Nen alongside Zeno so I think that Chrollo is slightly stronger then both of them individually. Other areas of the world that we know the Nen is Heavens arena and the Hunter association. So I would assume that Chrollo, Silva, and Zeno are relative to Netero, Ging, and whoever the best person at Heaven's Arena was. Its interesting that Hisoka has tied himself to all of these organizations. He seems like hes friends with Illumi, hes become a Hunter, He is in the Phantom Troupe, and hes a fighter at Heavens Arena.
Back to Silva I would assume that in reality his Nen ability is something simple like just making the lightning balls but when casting it he can sacrifice attributes to improve other attributes like size, strength, speed, and other possible variables. I would assume its slow in what we've seen because Chrollo is stronger than Silva so hes sacrificing projectile speed for enhanced power with Zeno holding Chrollo down to make sure it hits.
please watch 1999 version its awesome!
Always keep in mind that "conditions" in Nen when watching HxH till the end. it'll pay off greatly

Kurapika can take on any Troupe member
He is basically a walking hax,with him emperor time if it is one v one of Kurapika against a troupe its over for them
He is a cheat code in HxH. Imagine if he train Nen for 3 to 5 years. He can easily becomes top 10 users in Nen.

Sure it's powerfull but after you consider that basically everyone basically has emperor time but just not on 100% it doesn't sound that broken anymore. Someone's 60% conjuring could be equal to kurapikas 100% conjuring. Also the chains is probably his most powerfull ability and he can only use it on the troupe. If we rank hunters from S to D, kurapika is currently probably a b rank if we're real. He can only defeat A class if they're phantom troupe. The moment they're not phantom troupe he can't beat them
@@kc_h7h60% conjuration can never be equal to a 100%. Anyone who isn't a troupe member will have to deal with kurapika's dowsing chain which can inflict damage of a Master enchancer, while kurapika can just casually heal from any damage so long as it's not fatal.
They are also likely to be hit with judgement chain or steal chain which are one shot abilities that leaves you at the mercy of kurapika.
Only a selected few of nen users like the zoldycks, netero, hisoka, and ging stands a chance against kurapika.
Kurapika is easily among the top 10 of nen users who are human
@@kc_h7h Bro, some of the things you said are absolutely wrong. Someone 60% conquering could be equal is depends on the amount of nen, this here is important. He even walk dog Uvo which has higher nen amount than him is show that he can toe to toe anyone. And he can use chains on everyone only chain jail is limited to Phatom troupe. You also need to rewatch HxH, morel fights display you don't need to be stronger than others to win.
@@eugenepafender8135 I stopped reading after your first sentence cause you clearly didn't understand the show. Someone's 60% anyhting can definitely be someone elses 100%. That was literally explained this episode when kurapika punched uvo with his enhancer nen but barely damaged him. He quickly concluded that probably means his 100% enhancement isn't equal to uvo's. Also it gets explored later on when bisky explains you can increase your nen
To explain it for you simply, it's basically like push ups. Kurapikas 100% is like 30 push ups max. But uvo's 100% could be 200 push ups max. I can't believe you never understood this. Why do you think gon and killua had to charge their ren for a whole day while training? They were literally training to increase their nen capacity
