At 6:18, it appears the badge shop now has a GameCube badge.
I think I may have a very good idea as to what its purpose is.
Functionally like GB Sounds in Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver right?
I bet that GameCube badge is what swaps the new music for the old
@@anthonygarland8839same.
old sound effects in battle maybe?
Lol it's 1 coin too, probably 0 BP like the Attack FX badges (imagine if it was super expensive and required like 6 BP to wear, that would be funny)
3:20 the fact that we can now see what the Shy guys in the Audience do when they run back stage is nice
4:42 oh my goodness, that picture behind bowser has a moustache on it
Haha nice catch...we know how Bowser feels about moustaches! Unshaven troops are not worthy.
lol
Maybe it's Bowser's papa?
It had a mustache in the original game too, it was just hard to see due to the low resolution. :P
I believe that these purple Toads are like guides that we keep seeing them in different areas. Oh wait, they also give you practice on your moves both normal and badges.
I bet they'll be optional, like if you want to hear their words, you can, but if you don't need it, they understand when you say no. After all, not everyone will be new to it or otherwise not need as much aid.
maybe they teach stylish moves too
@@ParakarryDeluxe Lots of maybes that would be good for beginners, and maybe even some veterans for a recap, adjustments to changes, or things they didn’t fully get before
They fixed the shooting star item description to say it deals 6 damage instead of "it confuses enemies"
The spiked spinning enemy at 1:21 looks really good as a 3D enemy!
6:18 basically confirms that this game is gonna have a classic OST option, similar to Super Mario RPG (Switch).
I was gonna mention something like that too
Could just be sound effects only. I feel like if it was the OST that would've been a big enough deal to include in the trailer.
I imagine that the classic OST will just be available in the options. The badge looks like it's a novelty badge that just downgrades the graphics, considering how bad the graphics are in that screenshot compared to all the others.
@@TerminianHero it's been confirmed that the badge is for the classic ost
@@supergamingwarriorgamerult4705Where hmm? It's been confirmed that the game itself will have classic out, but we don't know how/with what.
I noticed that they have only used up 4 FP when killing the Armored Harriers, which is what 1 Gulp costs. So maybe they lowered the HP of the two.
They might have just healed it before using the second one though, but there's always the chance.
Less than a month away! Let’s go!
Decided to practice my Japanese and try and translate what the new Toad NPC at 7:09 is saying. Fair warning that I’m still a beginner, but as best as I can tell, this roughly translates to “Yo! What business do you have with me, the battle master?”
6:19 a GameCube badge for one coin? My guess is that will switch the music from the new soundtrack to the original. Depending on how the final ost comes out, that could be a popular badge
And hopefully it’ll cost 0 BP as well.
@@cunkycakes I would assume so, like the fx badges
@@Alpha-oo8yeah true
As someone who feels very fondly of the origInal OST, I'm pretty annoyed at how they handled the new versi9n so I would definitely appreciate if that's what this badge ends up being for
Can’t help but ponder upon the quantity of posible new badges.
That one screenshot of the badge shop, that GameCube badge has me veeery curious…
I believe that badge would let you hear the original version of the BGM.
@ShinyRaichu94 I think you may be right.
@@ShinyRaichu94it was confirmed that it will change the music
3:08 I can’t be the only one who sees when you try to avoid damage with one character it now does it for both right
Oof
Was that in the original? I know there are attacls you have to guard with both characters that use the same input. And it does that in Bug Fables, the soon-to-not-be best Paper Mario game in recent years.
6:18 Please say that GameCube badge allows you to use the original music! It’d be a bit strange if it was a badge rather than a setting, but still!
EDIT: Previews have now confirmed that this badge does indeed switch to the original soundtrack!
Also, I knew that purple toad was gonna be more than just a random new NPC. Very cool.
Well they probably have an badge so you can toggle it with 0 badge points
@@rontheauraknight9606 True, I just figured it’d be a setting in the settings menu, like in Super Mario RPG. This works well though!
@@KDT_Gaming It's a very Paper Mario thing to do, especially since there are other sfx badges that do the same thing
@@RealPlasmat1c Yeah that’s true. I wonder if they’ll add more of those SFX badges. That’d be cool.
@@KDT_Gamingthis could be an original sfx badge and the music one could unlock later
I doubt it means anything but it seems the door to the left at 1:46 now requires you to use flurries ability which wasn't the case in the original.
That is indeed correct. It used to be open but they blocked it off, likely due to seeing how broken it can be to access that area otherwise with what speedrunners have found. Granted, you need the hammer from Glitzville to proceed normally so outside of the new barrier, it doesn't block much else unless they changed that room too
Paper Mario the thousand year door my beloved!
Looks so amazing! So excited!!
1:46 THEY BLOCKED IT OFF; you now need Flurrie to get through, which means we can not sequence break the game there even if we tried.
5:53 It seems that the purple toad is like the regular toad from 64, that just marks things to do in the area maybe; what do they do?
7:09 The toad says "Hey, what do you need with a BATTLE MASTER like me?" So....maybe the Dojo mechanic from 64?
7:15 Yep.
THE FIRE EMBLEM KID IS BACKKKKK!
Which timestamp???
people who will experience this game for the first time on the switch are in such a treat. I'm quite jealous.
GAMECUBE BADGE!?!?!?!?!?
2:20 Two jammin ultras in chapter 2? The game's flexing on us!
I love Debug tools.
the characters have new poses i love this!!!
Can't wait!
7:38 They went with the NA cat girl boo instead of the JP bunny girl boo. Odd, considering TEC’s red eye is from JP.
I dunno I think that's kind of expected though. Doesn't surprise me at least
Well they probably made that change in the original to distance it from the Playboy bunny girls, and then just kept it as the cat girl for the remake so they wouldn't have to make 2 separate models.
Me likely the cat ears, meow meow ^w^
Idk if it's in the original, but at 3:07, mario holds his cap a bit early but still works. It looks like he holds his cap specifically when we press A instead of what might be when he just gets the hit while performing the trick.
I wonder if the Happy Lucky Lottery will stay the same like it did with the GameCube version. I'm also curious if there's an option to switch between the original and Switch version of the music, like with Super Mario RPG.
So that means punishing the player for changing the date, similar to the OG?
@@SaltyToad00 Yeah. Like that.
In one of the screenshots of the badge shop there's a badge that looks like a GameCube on sale for 1 coin, it (presumably) changes the audio it also likely costs 0 BP to equip like the Attack FX badges
I noticed a GameCube badge in the shop, I’m guessing that allows you to swap between the new and original soundtrack and possibly sound effects if some are different. I’m hoping it also makes the action command buttons look like the GameCube ones since I have a GameCube pro controller.
Hooktails fire breath looks fire
Pun intended
I’m so excited for this game
dat gamecube badge
That GameCube badge is probably an option to use the original soundtrack.
5:54 who is this Guy uhh? Captain America?
It’s Flavio.
Nah He's worse
@@Ren31802 bro. Looks kinda I don’t mind of the style, I say it’s cool.
@benitosierrajr3958 No, it's Fancy Pants
Slickframe would be soooo happy at this video😊👍
Let's all hope this game sells like crazy.
Worth it!
My first paper Mario was color splash. Is this one harder or is it just more dynamic?
But not too hard
It's more probably a bit harder but it's level based can just grind levels
@@stich9276 you will never need to backtrack/grind for xp when the regular amount of enemies you accidently encounter while playing is more than enough to be at the right level
,
Harder but less tedious!
6:07 Sha-zooby!
Mario: Oh no... Not again!
Ah a fellow grump I see
Merlon: "Hang on to your f*cking nuts, Mario! WHEEEE! It's ok, it only lasts for an eternity. It will not wear off, I assure you."
Ughh I want to play the game already so bad 😭🔥 Almost time!
Please, let me fight Prince Mush, I've been waiting for so long
When are we getting the soundtrack for the remake
I'm pretty sure that the way you swap companions is new.
Very new
I’m surprised they kept Toadette’s old color scheme instead of swapping it for the modern one
1:07 Will the flower fuzzy finally stop being stuck on that one ground spot? I am always baffled that it always happen when I come to that spot lmao
I kinda miss the mario rocking his shoes animation while standing still
At 0:23 there's a 2nd purple toad in front of the pipe to the sewers.
I guess is believed there was a triforce badge for some reason.
🤔 Super Famicom colours for buttons? Thats interesting.
I now know that Gonzalez Jr. does not have spikes on the back of his head.
Hey! Anyone notice the GameCube Badge at 6:19??
1:47 there’s not normally a paper wall that Flurrie can blow that leads to the warp pipes that leads to different chapters of the game.
That's probably to stop the ability to get into west rogueport early via one of the room glitches.
@@Gotenhanku yeah but if the frame perfect jump glitch still works then you can still get to later chapters like chapter 5 for example by doing the frame perfect jump right after you get Flurrie in chapter 2.
1:08 this looks super cool and not sure what is that, pink spiky Ball?
A Flower Fuzzy
"That's a Flower Fuzzy. Wow, what a totally pretty Fuzzy, don'tcha think? Max HP is 6, Attack is 3, and Defense is 0. This thing attacks by boinging in and sucking out FP. How uncool! We need FP! Once it charges up its own FP, it uses magical attacks. Better beat it before it does. Oh! I just got it! It's a Flower Fuzzy because it sucks your FP (Flower Points)! Duuuuuuh! Hee hee!" -Goombella.
@@CesarTorres61296I thought is more like a cat.
@@CesarTorres61296 thanks for the tattle
New GameCube badge?!
Can't wait to upgrade BP 70% of the time and completely destroyed every enemy agian. 😊
It wouldn't be a proper remake without the game adding the original GCB version of the soundtrack!
I hope this remastered game has multiple save files. I wasn't a fan of games with only one save file per Nintendo account.
It do
@@CR1MSONACE How can you know lol
2:20 Those guys look like fidget spinners.
username checks out
@@starlite5154 Wdym?
They are fidget spinners… before fidget spinner were a thing lol.
They...they're doing the colored button prompts again...
Glitzville got renamed oolong town?
Makes sense since the setting looks Eastern style
@@AymNBlastthey wouldn't rename it. That's how it has always been called in Japanese
7:38 SUS
A Super Paper Mario Remake should come out for Switch 2 in either Fall of 2026 or Spring of 2027
PM games release every 4 years. 2028 if it does get made.
YYYEEESSSSS!!!!😂
3:08 that looks so weird
2:21 Whoever was playing this... Where did they get all of the overpowered items? It's only Chapter 2! 😅
Edit: Especially the Jelly Ultras. You can't make those until after Chapter 4 by getting the Cookbook.
They got them through opening the Debug tools and giving themselves that.
YES WE ARE EATING GOOD!!! PAPER MARIO FANS REJOICE!!!
Kinda weird that Peach has her old dress design in TTYD when she recevied her current dress design in 2002 (two years before TTYD)
They wanted to keep it faithful to the original. I'm glad they didn't change it
@@ScrimmyBunglets I mean with TTYD in general, not the remake
The one thing I'm not going to be looking forward to in this game is General White
They've made the backtracking much easier
It looks great but everything feels slow to me. I won't know till I actually get my hands on it but it feels slow motion sometimes I hope it's just my imagination.
the 30FPS effect
Watching the comparison it's not bad. Super excited to get this game
Just to make in point, the video shown is in 30 fps, bit when you play the game, it's 60 FPS.
Kinda wish the game would show new content...
It's a One to one remake outside of the GameCube Badge, what difference do you expect
I don't think there is any new content at this point. There's a purple toad that lets you practice moves and a gamecube badge for audio. Im pretty sure a paper luigi quest would be revealed at this point.
It literally did bruh. We got concept art and music player for this remake. That wasn’t in the original.
We can quickly swap partners with a certain button in plus, that's a good quality of life thing not in the original.
@@Matt-eh2dy Your definition for "new content" is pretty bare minimum.....
F❤🎉😢😮😅😅😊😊
This trailer shows prompts that are blue for the X button, and green for the Y button. The A button is red, which we already knew. This is more evidence of the next console possibly being called the Super Switch.
How is that evidence for anything?
Yeah like, buttons being colored would define the name of the next console "Super Switch"? No coherence.
Sadly, doesn’t look like the level design got any big upgrades. Could have really used that. In my opinion, TTYD has the worst level design in the series, makes certain section (*cough* chapter 4) a drag.
Uh… Sticker Star exists but okay.
@Matt-eh2dy Sticker Star has great level design. Its not full of straight hallways or annoying pathways that always get you caught with unwanted fights (chapter 4 and the first half of chapter 5).
@Matt-eh2dy Sticker Star has its issues, but most rooms in TTYD are literally just straight lines mate
@JayStack5 Sticker Star might have worse backtracking than TTYD let's be honest.
@@thisisaloadofbarnacles921 where?
Did anybody notice Bowser's mustache?
...no?
He had it in the original
Yes at 4:42, the bowser on the painting has a mustach.
I'm a 28 year old man who hasn't played this game before. Will I enjoy it or get bored?
You will love it. It’s worth a try for sure
