  • If you have any kind of fiberglass or carbon fiber door on your race car, chances are you have lexan or polycarbonate windows installed. Most doors are made without any type of outer support for the window. To add strength and durability, door window frames are commonly installed.
Tim gives a quick breakdown in tonight’s video on the subject.

Tim, I’m just a regular “schlub” that has always been fascinated by automotive builders and the technologies they use. I would love to see you design and build a “clean sheet” sports automobile that would be sold to the public. I envision that you’d just “downsize” everything you do with your current work, and apply it to a streetable model.
You can make it expensive enough to discourage the “idiots” from wrecking it 3 minutes off the dealer lot. 🙄
I think the time is now to challenge the international manufacturers, and return us to “made in America.” 🇺🇸
..... and I think you’re just the man for the job.

Tim, could you do a video on some of your guys welding the chassis? I'm particularly interested in how they go about tig welding out of position, lack of spots to prop on, welding upside down, etc. Thanx in advance, Alan

Not a bad idea, Alanmony. We will see if we can make it happen. We currently have a video available on the final welding process of the chassis. Most of the hard to reach places are done during this phase when the chassis is on a rotisserie. You can see that here - czcams.com/video/R1NG-ufDa34/video.html
