Yea I thought about it bc I want to mount a rear view mirror so I could also use it to mount that off of.
I have a 1969 mustang , I think SCCA calls for 5 mm minimum. Can use 4 mm if you use a center support. This is a track car for some weekend play. It wont be required to pass stringent tech. Thanks for the reply.

your side windows dilemma make me think of an episode or 3 of a BBQ grill converted to a plexiglass heating chamber for forming and shaping replacement glass... maybe you need a little heat and lay it on the original glass to get the shape you need.
I actually have an idea on how to get them to stay in line with track and incorporate a pull handle to close door all at same time. However I don’t think I’ll be doing anything about it for awhile. I don’t see myself rolling them down much at all

I did not need a brace. I used the foam tape I showed in my video
Fairmont Futuras don’t have a door glass frame so I don’t think there is anyway to do those in lexan
I have no clue on them.
Can I use plexi glass? Broke my windshield need a cheap fix. Places here want $500!
Plexiglass doesn’t work the same I don’t think. I don’t think it bends as good or something I can’t remember.

So what was the total weight savings and how do you clean them in a way to prevent hazing that happens to plastic?
So I’ve had no hazing. There was a video that showed the weight and talked about that I’m pretty sure. I cant remember what the number was but if you’re watching this comets playlist then I should be close to this video in the list
Where did you get the tinted lexan from?
It come off eBay. Seller was pop something. I go over it in my video titled “more changes to the comet”. I showed the receipt and all. Hope it helps you out.
Can the lexan be heat formed by clamping it to the original window and the heating the glass with a heat gun to keep from damaging the lexan? Also where are you getting your lexan from? I got my front windshield from optic armor and it was 620.00 dollars. So you would think that at those prices the service would be excellent, I can honestly day was the worst customer service I have had from any company I have dealt with in the performance industry in my 40 years in the automotive business.
So honestly I’m not sure. If you watch the video that’s titled” more changes to the Comet” I think it is I actually show where I got it from name and all which will be easy for you to go off of. It came off eBay. Name was pop something I’d have to look back.

Yes you’d just do exactly what you do with the glass. On this car it’s be just put it inside the gasket and rope the gasket in
So I could use the glass setting ribbon like the factory and just reinstall my molding? Cool
what thickness Lexan did you use ?
Unfortunately if it’s not in one of the 3 videos then I don’t remember. I feel like I disclosed that in the first video but I honestly don’t remember
How's door windows holding up against scratches from rolling up and down?
I haven’t seen any from going up and down yet. I did put a few in installing them but a heat gun should take them out

We haven’t drove this car yet. We took it to dyno and blew it up and currently waiting for tkm to finish the rebuild. Check out our other videos on this car.
