- There is a known issue with fiberglass door flexing, especially on Clio's. there is a very simple solution. Window latch kit. But you can only get it from USA. so it's freaking expensive for what it is! be prepared to modify it as its not perfect! but it works very very well!

Thanks
Great video , picking up a clio shell next week for trackdays so your videos come in handy
Good luck and you welcome
Nice tutorial new subscriber from USA!
Awesome! Thank you!
I’ve considered these but for 200 it’s just too much for what it is, especially given your findings.
The solution I have always thought would work best would be magnetic blocks, you can buy them in a range of sizes and strengths designed to hold household doors closed etc. With a bit of experimenting I’m pretty sure you could find some that are strong enough to hold the top of the door closed at speed and they don’t require any latches to open so no difficulty for someone trying to pull you from a burning car. If necessary you could fit several at different locations. Cost a couple of quid each
Depends how desperate you are. I had an idea about magnets but finding correct size/strength seems like a lot of effort
I don’t know, I’d say having these latches shipped and spending the time fitting them is a lot of effort. Mag blocks are just a couple of simple screws and available from all hardware stores. And given the cost you could buy an assortment of them for 1/10th the cost of the latches.
I will experiment with it when I get my windows fitted
Drag racing is not a poor man's sport for sure
nope it is not!
I know what window door lanch NOT to get.
Thank you for the video
you welcome! to be fair, they work incredibly well! just a shame they fit the way they are and the price!
they have Bean used in Drag Racing a Long Time in the States
sure have
Wow those doors flapping must have been seriously getting to you for what it cost for those poppers! Rubbish that for that money the kit needed modifying to fit. Clever idea though and everyone likes a satisfying clunk right?😂
Yes I was desperate haha.
Surely there would be a DIY solution for a lot cheaper?
Please if you can find one, let us know!
@@RuskiWeldFab I don't know of one specificly but It has s similar look to a kitchen cupboard hinge.
Trust me there is nothing out there that works the same way. I looked for a long time.
@@RuskiWeldFab thanks for the video. I did some research and found they are aviation latches more commonly. I got them for $25 each
@@rtusnake can you share a link where you found them?
I hope that was $200 for the pair!
Indeed it was
@@RuskiWeldFab They're used widely in drag racing. Webster Race Engineering near Santa Pod may have had some. Jon builds drag cars.
Привет Англия!! Вот ты чудик редкий!! А Нахера огнетушитель под крышей, чё больше места нету!!!
Не понял, где что под крышей?
3:08 reminder, never do that again or your next video would be "How I lost an eye while making a youtube video" $200 jeez!! and Parcelfarce are having a joke £50 customs tax. Surely you could reverse engineer that and make it better?
Yeah I know! Should have put a disclaimer lol. Usualy I am a bit more careful 🤪
As always, the stuff from the US&A is poorly engineered. But they can do good marketing…
