I've been in the motor trade, mechanical and bodywork for 47 years this year and to any naysayers out there, this man knows what he's talking about. Keep up the good work sir 👍
Cheers brother
Thanks for sharing mate I hit my gate this evening and will try this for sure 👍
Those are clearcoat scratches.... he's just polishing the clearcoat ... the paint does absolutely nothing and is just wiped off
@@techniquemtd Exactly. I've buffed out dozens of scratches like this over the last 40-years of car ownership, just using T-Cut.
How long do you leave the paint to dry before buffing?
I took my car to Carmax to get appraised and they offered me 10,400 because the paint needed a “respray” according to them due to several panels having scratches and fine scuffs. I stumbled upon your videos while trying to find a way to remove those blemishes without respraying. I ordered some solvent paint got some pads off amazon and went at it. I’m not going to lie and say everything came back like factory but you really had to look closely to notice the previous damage. I was able to get a higher appraisal and sold my 2017 pathfinder to them for $12,000. You helped me make an extra 1600 dollars! Any way I can buy you a beer?
Get a room
You jealous Sarah? Lol
Jokes on the guy who will buy the car and scratches will appear once the paint dissapears, you need clear to lock in the new paint.
@@Chris-hw4mqmy thoughts too but he adds in a lacquer to the base paint that he doesn’t really mention
You *think* they gave you more money. Check the paperwork. You probably were given $500 and/or you paid more for the new car. The dealership never loses Bud.
People don't appreciate this knowledge transfer. This is information gathered in a lifetime and given away for free in 15 minutes. I hope people realize that. Thank you!
Bravo.
Do not concern yourself with the negative comments.
You are one of the more intelligent and knowledgeable body repair professionals on CZcams.
Finally found a DIY car channel that doesn't drag on for 20 mins, thanks man!
no bs channel
@@cvrpovthat’s why I just subscribed because no BS! And anyone can do at home DIY videos 👍🏻
I hope you carry on like this!
Run it at 1.25 speed. Save 12 minutes of every hour you watch.
How long for the paint to dry?
I don't know why your apologising for showing people ways to repair and fix scuff marks on their vehicles. its more people like you are needed to show people like me this method of fixing my cheaply... A perfect job..Thank you for showing this
Don't apologise for what you do, it's people like you who I learn things from, thank you.
My Dad used to call this technique, the "Splodge it in, knock it off method". Super result.
Your Dad's name is better
I’ve used your methods a few times on my driving school cars that have had minor branch scratches and even car park scratch from a inconsiderate driver and have all been easy to deal with, the ones who roast you are likely body shop guys who are pissed you have a cheap easy way to fix damage to a 95% standard that most of us would be super happy with for the fraction of the cost .
Keep up the amazing work and educating / helping others 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
exactly!
Agreed
Can I just say your videos are a god send for ordinary people who can't afford a respray of a complete panel.
These arse holes who leave negative comments are people who are sad, jealous or know no better. It's a fact of life that some will disagree with what you do.
I was a dog handler, we had a saying that three dog handlers would agree. But only on what the fourth handler was doing wrong. Please keep you informative videos coming. Thanks 👍🏻
That's exactly what kind of audience this channel is aimed at Dave. That's why I get annoyed with the comments and negativity. Thanks for the feedback mate
Amazing results as always, yet so simple method! Thank you!
This is what being a CC on CZcams is all about information and helpfulness. Cheers from one CC to another great work mate
Amazing job! So silly that some people think these types of repairs are faked lol - definitely works, defintely real - no faking here. There is an element of skill and attention to detail that some people lack when trying something like this for the first time. Patience and experience = amazing result! Well done!
Thanks for the comment 👍🏻 its increasingly hard to create engaging content these days!
If its too long people loose interest, if its chopped up to save time people accuse you of faking the repair! Hopefully this video is somewhere inbetween!
Too much idiots exist in the world that's all. I think he should just focus on his awesome craft and let idiots be idiots.
@@darrenlane6744 keyboard warriors 😂😂
Just to confirm I’ve bought paint from here and with my polisher got rid of some bad scratches and graze marks.
@@cvrpov Don't worry if ppl think it's fake, mate. They won't try it. They won't benefit from it and yet they will leave a cranky comment that, in the end will increase your profile here becasue the more negative comments, the more engagement, more chances of your videos randomly appearing to ppl like me who were actually after solid advice. So it's a win win for you and for us who benefited from your expertise. Thanks for the video. Saved me loads of time and money!
I tried this method after watching this video and can't believe how well it turned out. thanks for the top tips!
Great to hear!
Do you not let the paint dry first? It didn't look like he waited for it to dry. If you do wait, how long?
Excellent work by a very skilled detailing expert.
Well done. Quick and qualitative result
I would just like to say thanks for sharing and for the few people that are negative, their are lots more people that are really pleased you take the time and effort to share your knowledge cheers.
Amazing results! Thanks for sharing the knowledge!
My pleasure!
Such a simple technique, brilliant! Will definitely use this on my lovely old clk 430
Brilliant work bud. Thanks for your expertise.
1st time viewer of the channel and not I'm subbed. Fantastic video, easy to understand, didn't miss out any steps, no pointless filler/BS. Keep up the good work! 💪
Nice one. Welcome
Great video and really enjoy following your channel on all sort of repairs. Just purchased one of your full wheel repair kits after watching your wheel refurb videos as I have several to do!
Nice one, have fun 👍🏻
I have never thought you do anything underhand , I love your videos. Thank you for sharing your skills really appreciate the videos.
What a great DIY technique. I really appreciate you sharing this method. Thanks.
Spot on mate, keep up the great work and content that you’re doing. You’ll never please everyone but don’t let that deter you. Some great advice for people like myself who want to try these little tips at home without expecting it to look brand new.
Appreciate the comments mate thanks
Thank god i found your youtube channel!
I had a hire car that someone scratched while it was parked. There was no way i could afford the repairs even with insurance. I followed your instructions and it worked! Thank you very much!
Great stuff
That came out very well! Thank you so much for showing!
Great repair, thanks for the tips on products used! 👍👍
Genius as ever! The hints and tips have saved me loads of heartache and more importantly cash over the years. THANK YOU!
You're very welcome!
Without doubt, one of the best car paint repair videos I've watched, thanks for your time and effort.
Great video! Will be starting my detail journey soon!
Amazing! Superb result for a minimal cost and not much time!
I'm just a petrol head, home DIY'er, and enjoy keeping my little BMW and assorted toys in tip-top condition. I don't have the budget to pay a detailer, much less a body shop, to handle any nicks and chips, so I've begun learning to do my own paint and body work. This tip looks to be a fantastic time saver. So much so, that I in fact popped over to Amazon and purchased a set of 3" polishing pads and backing plate for a drill. Greatly appreciate your video!
New to your channel. Enjoyed it. I've been a mechanic and car flipper for 45 years. I do exactly this when I refurbished a vehicle paint. But I always a dewaxing. I feel like any residual wax/polish will hinder the he ability of the paint adhering properly. I learned so much the hard way, nothing like U-Tube then. With all the fantastic channels here there's no reason why anyone can maintain their vehicles and make them last forever ! Great job. Thank you.
No probs man
I thought your video was really good and explained very well. How refreshing !!
Good work! Thanks for making this helpful video!
Excellent video once again. I had the exact same problem with a scuff mark on the wheel arch on my last car, which I managed to repair using the method you showed in one of your earlier videos. The scuff was more than 30cm long so my scratch repair insurance would't cover it! So I took the plunge after watching your channel and it came up beautifully. Needless to say I haven't taken out scratch insurance on my new car! Your brilliant channel gave me the courage to tackle jobs I would't have dared to, so thank you so much. I really appreciate what you do.
That's awesome mate fair play
best channel for real tips that actually work
Appreciate the comment mate thankyou
@@cvrpovHOW LONG TO LEAVE NEW PAINT BEFORE BUFFING?
This is the method I am looking for- thank you man !
I'll be trying this for sure thanks very much very informative and well illustrated 😊
There's a saying "you can't please all the people all the time." Those people make the most noise and bring everyone down too. I liked what you are doing. It has been useful where I work in a used car yard I'm at. Keep these tips coming. They have been hugely helpful.
These tips have made me a lot of money and saved people a lot of money. Hopefully others are feeling the benefits off of the back of the videos.
Regarding the comments, "Those who can, do. Those who can't, screech." Teach on, kind sir. We love it.
This chap is a genius his skills work as I have done this repair on my own 53 plate rav 😊
Great to hear!
Thank you for a professional, well presented video that demonstrates the level of skill and experience that you bring to everyone. Well done. I'm now a subscriber!!
Thank you so much, I can now repair the minor scratches on my new car! You are terrific!
Thanks for your time, and knowledge. I use your videos to keep my ‘78 W150 in trophy show condition, and my Wife’s 2012 Mustang, Club Edition in Lava Red free of stone chips. This video was perfect to fix a bumper scuff. Other guys in the club are asking me to fix stone chips on their cars as well.
Those that can teach, those that can’t claim they know. Ignore the naysayers, they are irrelevant.
Great feedback mate thanks its appreciated
Mate, whoever is questioning your videos, they need to get a grip. Absolutely fantastic, matey 😎🤙🏽
Love your work, forget those doubters of your authenticity. Appreciate this content. Cheers
Looks great and seems simple, I'll have to try this. Thanks!
Exactly how long did you let the paint dry before you polish it off?
Perhaps I missed you saying.
And ignore the trolls, they're a fact of life. Another fact is that lots of us appreciate your help to simply fix stuff, save money, and make our cars look better. THANKS!!
X2
I have a nice silver metallic car and some envious person keyed the car full length of both sides. Most of the scratches were not too deep and only in the clear coat, so they did polish out. There is one deep area on the drivers door which is 2 inches long and through the base coat and I have been pondering how to fix that. Well I think you have just given me the solution.
Thank you so much.
Worth a go mate but silver is not a great colour for touch up work
I love watch the paint dry!!! Thanks for a great useful video.
This is great! I have almost exactly this kind of damage and watching this video has given me the confidence to give repairing it a try. Thanks.
Thank you. I have two 2020 cars with similar issues and now will try to fix them using this video. It might be time for a new tire on the car you repaired though. Cheers mate, you are an awesome person. If you are ever in Los Angeles, look me up. my wife and I usually have a spare bedroom.
Really appreciate the offer brother
Perfect way of maintaining your car without spending excessive amounts of money on invisible details! Great job! Thanks for sharing 👍
love the fact you documented the whole process without to many cuts, makes it seem more realistic and easier to follow along, earnt my sub!
Great video. I'm a headlight restorer and this was very helpful.
I've just watched this and applied this process to a scratch at the bottom of my front Spoiler. It actually worked well. Thanks from Australia 🇦🇺
For how long did the paint dry?
Great job 👏
Thank you for your time and sharing valuable info 👌
Great job! Very helpful and informative!
Greats tips, thanks for sharing.
Thanks mate appreciate the feedback
@cvrpov
Bought your full touch up kit
Do you do this with your solvent paint with the Gloss enhancer or without?
Greetings from Sweden
I can’t understand why anyone would criticise you, please don’t stop making these tutorials, can I ask a question, how does the G360 compare to T-cut?
Thanks for what your doing, Ken
Hi, In your opinion, which paste is better?
Good job ! Thanks for sharing your experience
Thanks for your video. Try and ignore all those who give you grief. I appreciate your work
Nice one as always mate. The people that accuse you of faking things really don't know what they are on about lol
Cheers mate. If i didn't chop and edit the vids they would be hours long and no one would watch them
Mate, I've followed your account for a long time now and, as a novice repairer on my vehicles and family vehicles, your tips and quality of work has helped me immeasurably. Those that criticise you are only envious of you so, bugger those that are critical, bring on the enthusiasts. 🇦🇺 from you Aussie friends.
awesome Rob, that's what its all about here
Nicely done, sir. Nicely done.
Great video. I’ll give this a try. Many thanks for sharing your expertise.
Superb job, i thought you might wet sand the paint smear first to level it then polish, but no need,an even faster job. I taught myself how to machine polish paint 17 years ago. I could watch these videos all day long, always something new to learn and im almost 56 years old . 👍🙌
Im always learning too mate, thats what keeps it interesting.
In your area, what would you suggest is a decent price to ask for this job? Which is a bloody good job mind you! Liked the vid, and have already been a subscriber for ages. 👍
Price accordingly to how much time you have spent, how much the method results worked and also the saving you've made the client compared to respray.
Looks excellent and thanks for showing us how it's done.
Thanks for the remarkable tip. It looks so much better and sure meets my expectation. Will give it a try on my daily driver just because I would enjoy the improvement.
BTW if you want to make a no cut video, you should avoid transition effects too, as after you apply the paint you did transitions; which may push someone to assume you did something in between the transitions. Just saying as you want to make a point to not have cuts, which means you should have no cuts from the moment you smear that paint on the damage to the end results.
I know your stuff is legit... I just have so many unanswered questions because I'm dumb as fuck. I guess I'll buy a subscription and start asking 😂
Done plenty of similar content mate, have a look through the playlists
@cvrpov I been watching and I seen almost all of them
Impressive and thank you for the genuine help, going to do it as soon as it stops raining,,,,,
I've tried this and it worked ! Thanks for the tips, best regards from Holland
