Cool. I like the reverse cut away headstock on it
Great review. I have the Futura, it’s next level!
That was a really good point about the community. I haven’t seen that so much elsewhere, you’re right.
I’d love to get a Futura. Thanks for watching. How is it to play? Yeah! I think all the Ormsbros are very cool and helpful.
@@wrashchild I think you know… it honestly plays like nothing else in my 17 guitar collection can! I think my pups are the same as yours… maybe mine is a blizzard or master blaster in the bridge though. It’s just the right tool for the job on many occasions. Plus just how fun are they!! I was actually a skeptic to begin with. Which was just so ignorant.
I’ve been a fan since the start, even did the guitar building course a few years back! Seeing their attention to QC and bringing new concepts to life first hand has been a great experience.
Great to hear man! Hopefully I can pick up a Futura one of these days. What colour is yours?
@@wrashchild deep blue on ash
Like a Heckler & Koch. The harder you treat them, the better they respond.
I have 2 Ormsby RC Ones and a Goliath. Really amazing guitar company and what you get for the price is unmatched!
I really wanna get an Ormsby one day, when I get the money to. Currently looking at an Ormsby TX GTR 7 string or the Hype GTI 7 string if I wanna go cheaper and non fanfret. Surprised I've overlooked this company for years now, since I assumed they were all custom shop guitars only. glad I looked into them more and found your video. now they're definitely on my radar.
the d shape necks on a 6 string does worry me though, since thin necks on 6 strings I don't usually feel good playing from the ibanez and Jackson I've played in the past. But maybe Ormsby will be different.
either way, great and helpful video.
Hopefully one will pop up near you at a store and you can try before you buy.
@@wrashchild that's definitely what I'm hoping for
Look at the Hypes. I just picked up my 5th Ormsby, a Hype GTI Evertune 7 string, cost me only 1k with the Current 10% discount! It's also a multiscale, less extreme than the others, but I don't mind, I get that evertune.
Which pickup was which, you said both were neck? Cool video either way, thx Wrash!
Hi mate! Yes my bad. The “nunchucker” at the beginning of “reason 2” was the bridge. And the La Crème is the neck. Didn’t realise my mistake. Thanks!
There’s also push/pull to split the pickups on nearly all of them
what strings set would be ok for drop C or drop C and C#) for that scale length?
I don’t like recommending gauges because it depends on your style. Search on CZcams “the guide to string gauges 2021” by Riffs beards and gear. Much more help than me
@@wrashchild not applicable to such multiscale tho
@@imhandumdrehen just go one set lower than the usual recommended one. So for example if they reccomend 11s. Use 10s etc
THE GUITAR IS GREAT BUT THE SOUND COMING OUT OF YOUR AMP IS A CATASTROPHE TREBLE SHIT
I grew up with detuned guitars. I want the strings loose. I want the slack, and frett slap. A 52 is fine for me. You couldn't pay me to play that gimmick guitar.
