    I own a one off Hypermachine. Perry Ormsby is the best custom builder on this or any other planet. Not only is he a true master but he is one of the most down to earth people you will ever meet. Buy with confidence, you are getting a masterpiece..

    Trey noticed you have become fond of the PRS Archon. How does hold in a mix? I have heard the mids are sensitive which is in a way good as it allows a lot of cut in a live and recording situation. Thanks

      Don't worry it's gonna be ok. I am just thinking about this model too. But I am just not sold on their pick-up A8 Hot Rock humbucker at the bridge. I think they should really use known pickups like BK or Fishmans and so on. Not their own, which to be fair are pretty still unknown

    Can someone explain to me the point of fanned frets

    • @harveymagher
      @harveymagher Před 7 lety

      it allows the fret board to have different lengths for different strings, so if the string is tuned lower then it will have a bigger length and vice versa. this makes the guitar have a much even tension across the board for ease of play. hope thats helps :)

    • @markpoop8165
      @markpoop8165 Před 7 lety +1

      Harvey Magher thanks

    • @fopbass
      @fopbass Před 7 lety +4

      Thicker, lower-tuned strings want to vibrate at a longer length; thinner, higher-tuned strings want to vibrate at a shorter length. Each string is better accommodated for its physical properties. Adding to this, there's better tension for each appropriate string, i.e., lower strings sound tight and non-flubby whilst higher strings don't sound super tight and tinny. These are some reasons that fanned frets are becoming more popular.

    • @alaspoorjordan
      @alaspoorjordan Před 7 lety +3

      They're also ergonomic. Your wrist gets to stay in a relaxed position as you travel up and down the neck. It follows the natural motion of your arm.

    • @dissolution
      @dissolution Před 7 lety +1

      I have a TX 7, the fucker is in tune all the way up to 24 frets on the high strings. It's scary how out all the others are playing this one. Plus downtuning keeps tension better because of the increased scale.

  • @TheHeavyMetalAzn
    @TheHeavyMetalAzn Před 7 lety

    Does the ~28" scale make it harder/uncomfortable to play near the lower frets?

    • @Zrakow
      @Zrakow Před 7 lety

      Keane Riley well the frets are bigger, so it's probably harder if you have smaller hands and are used to scales around 25,5"

    • @TheHeavyMetalAzn
      @TheHeavyMetalAzn Před 7 lety

      Yeah, I kinda guessed that. I guess I was thinking in comparison to Ibanez/kiesel/other 27" fans if the added tension was worth the bigger stretch

    • @Zrakow
      @Zrakow Před 7 lety

      The tension is worth it if you play in drop tunings like drop b or lower

  • @xx2
