Just unboxed my 7 string version with the walnut finsh last night. Only had time to play unplugged, but am already loving it. I'm new to 7 string and multi-scale. The neck is so very comfortable. Has a very ESP'ish thin U feel.
Terrific lead tone.

You have stepped up your game exponentially, good sir. This video is a leap forward in production value and the transfer of information. Don't get me wrong. Your videos are always informative and entertaining, but this shows a new attention to detail. Plus the riffs are slammin!!! **uses mouthbreather voice** but your tone always sounds the same. Poor old Perth. Only Death Metal bands that love us enough to visit regularly is LOG and Meshuggah (no complaints though!). *crosses metal horns*. Looking at the 8-string version. P.S. the Synder pendant is fucking badass.

I fvcking adore the tonal characteristics that the EHR-E gives to that tone. A lot more muscle compared with the SM57.

Hey +Ola Engund. What tuning you usually use? Sometimes it sounds like a E-standard, but still heavy as balls. Sometimes when composing riffs, i get some Ola Englund -ish feel to it, when playing perfect 4th's, instead of regular power chords. Do you recognize anything similar to your playing? FAQ video if possible please. Thanks.

I have another question...Works B standard tuning with this guitar (6B, 5E, 4A, 3D, 2F#, 1B)? I mean does it work well?

I don't like dealing with 5-way switches. I prefer 3-way toggles so a push-pull setup for coil splitting would be ideal for me if I wanted a single coil sound from a guitar like that.
Edit: I prefer a classical style high headstock playing position so to hear that a classical style position is better suited to this guitar makes me approve of it even more.

I got a question that's been bugging me ever since Ibanez came out with the fanned fret iron label guitars this year . Does it actually that the frets are like that ? I mean does it help the play style and is it comfortable to do solos and all ? Ola has that figured out but I really wanna know .
It's very comfortable. Chords are easier, especially on the lower frets. Your wrist tends to sta in a very relaxed position throughout your playing, at any position on the neck.

Some of the demo tracks you record for these videos do you or have you released them for listeners as myself to throw on their audio devices? Also, when your have the drums for these are you creating them yourself for the clips or using Ezdrummer 2 for quick ideas?

Wonder if he gets to keep everything he demos. Probably. Would make sense since they know its going to reach tens of thousands of a target audience.
How strong is that headstock and those fanned frets really hurt my eyes trying to watch this demo. Looks like a beast though but I have my doubts about the headstock and always have since Dennis Kayzer demo'd the same style guitar.

The reason I have my doubts is regarding the construction so my question is regarding the amount of tension it can take before it snaps considering the lack of wood used. Can you tell me that or are you just gonna tell me that the headstock is strong and leave it at that?
Played a few, own one, flown with it across the US (Cali to PA).
Parker has been making open-air headstocks for like 20 some years. Believe me, these are well made and totally safe. I understand they might look a little scary, but they're not.
Looks amazing, but they sound a bit weak in all the review. Gonna try one out next week.

Hey Ola, I got one question about multiscale guitar's.
Is it harder to play chord's on a multiscale guitar than on a normal guitar? Since it looks a lil' uncomfortable.
But nice informing Video, I was thinking about getting one of these Ormsby wood's the only thing holding me back is the fretboard.
Anton Kleiner most people say its more comfortable because the fan of the frets follows the slant of your wrist

the TX is a great guitar. I picked one up in the same Run as Ola's hype
The TX and the Hype play pretty much the same, but IMO the TX is a nicer looking beast. Happy NGD for when you get yours!
