Heartstopper i just good flufy, not opverly dramatic. Even y people ho dont lik that kind of thing.
Another thing to reconsider regarding New Rose's age: it's a show about time travel. Not inconceivable thry could jump ahead however many years.
If the new Rose character is Donna's daughter and then becomes 14's companion I will be so happy! I think that would be a great way to tie a bow on Donna's story. She might not be able to remember her time with The Doctor, but her daughter would get to experience the same happiness she did during her time in the TARDIS.
My headcanon name for the special "The Doctor-Donna's Daughter"
This would be awesome. I also think it would make perfect sense for her daughter to be named Rose because even though she can't remember, the Doctor's in there somewhere.
Tied bows are cool...

There is an official bad wolf casting call that’s been going around for a character called “Lily” (also a type of flower like a rose) that fits Finneys description and describes the character as 15 years old. So that’s interesting.
I really think the play for RTD here is to do a 60th anniversary with Tennant and Tate to bring back old audiences, deal with all the nostalgia for his first era, before taking the show in a brand new direction with Series 14 and Gatwa. I know you seem dead-set against Whittaker regening into Tennant (and I agree, it's weird to think about), but it makes more sense to me than having Gatwa debut in a multi-Doctor story.
My prediction is Whittaker will regenerate into Gatwa, then the next thing to be released is a special featuring Tennant where Gatwa doesn't appear, and then it resumes to Gatwa when his series begins.
I just don't think we need to have Whittaker regenerate into Tenant to motivate the special. We could just go in completely WTF seeing Tenant still around.
Yeah, like a passing of the torch thing. Closing RTD's previous era and opening up this new one.
Davies doesn't enjoy messing with us - he LOVES it! During his early production notes in DW Magazine in 2004, he would always do things like hype up "the dreaded Moxx of Balhoon" as if it was a key player of series 1.
I still haven't let go that moment where the ninth doctor used his power to slow down time to save someone and we've just NEVER SEEN THAT AGAIN
why does he love doing that?
Plot twist: Davies is the one who's behind the "Jodie regenerates into Tennant" rumours and sprinkled in just enough details that are actually true to make it seem more likely with every announcement just to mess with us all.
@@WillTheGreatest wait when was that?
@@amos.rand_vfx my memory could be trash cause it's been years since I watched it but it was the episode where 9 saved the tree lady
Well, Donna naming her child Rose does make sense if she remembers anything from her travels, even subconsciously tbh
But also, so long as they don't make Rose a Time Lord and regenerate into new Rose, I'm excited for anything
ok but consider: Big Finish Time War Rose Tyler
I'm assuming that Ncuti won't have a big role in the 60th, because that's how it always goes with a new Doctor. The new Doctor always appears right at the end of an episode for the climactic regeneration, then the next episode is always the "getting to know you" episode.
Usually but we have a problem though Jodie is currently pregnant so if they are shooting the whole thing now she won’t appear unless her version was made pregnant or they took her belly out digitally like tv and movies have done before but she is far enough along making the doctor pregnant for whatever reason or she is regenerating at the end of the century special to account for the pregnancy which could be why her outfit change for the seadevils special
The 60th isn't where she will regenerate though, I'm assuming that will happen in the centenary special this fall. By then, 14 will already be here
@@kevin10001 I assumed they already shot her regeneration for the centenary special
@@GoliathWarfare Right... I get all these specials mixed up.
@@JohnBainbridge0 I think it's possible we could get a Christmas special with ncuti that establishes him in time for the 60th
Posted somewhere else on your channel too but RTD is really great at getting free promotion - all he's done is make a couple of posts on Instagram and made sure him & Ncuti turned up to an award ceremony they were both already going to at the same time so he could introduce him on the red carpet as the next Doctor.
Now he's blown casting details but said it isn't spoilers because they're filming in London nect week so everything would have leaked anyway.
Now you can pretty much guarantee that next week the British tabloids will have paparazzi shots from the location shooting competing to get the best money shots -
Ncuti's Doctor's costume
Doctor (Tennant) & Donna together
The two Doctors together
New Doctor & Companion together
The villain
Other returning characters (Matt Lucas / Wilf)
So be prepared for more news to react to soon.
And it was confirmed the other day that he was the one leaking false casting rumours over the last few months (basically he knew what name's to drop & who to speak to for Doctor Who to get in the news and start a bit of chatter online) - again cost him nothing but Hugh Grant even being rumoured for the job raised the profile of Doctor Who massively.
Such a different approach compared to Chibnall.
he's like Steve Jobs but for tv shows instead of computers
Another reason that popped into my head unbidden for why they're shooting this now: Bernard Cribbins is 93 years old. Perhaps the showrunners want to have these scenes in the bag in case something untoward happens. EDIT: Holy heck, I just remembered that something like this is the reason we even have Wilf in the first place. It was originally supposed to be Donna's father, not her grandfather, in the return episode, but the actor who played Geoff Noble (Howard Attfield, thanks, IMDb) had passed away in the meantime.
This is... actually very probable. And it breaks my heart. And it reminds me of "Im going to die Wilf." "Well so am I, someday" "don't you dare!" "...alright. I'll try not to."
I said this on the previous video, but I think there's a strong possibility that the 60th doesn't have Ncuti in it at all, or at least only at the very end like Capaldi with the 50th.
This is what I think too
I wouldn't mind it if it's a multi doctor story and a celebration of the whole show and not just a celebration of the RTD era.
New Rose- neat, cool casting, bit weird with the name. Intriguing
Rachel Talaley- Epic. Directed one of the greatest episodes of doctor who and capaldi’s last stories which is great
Wilf- I have no words. This is great. Genuinely more excited for this than I have any right to be
Matt Lucas- Talalay posted on instagram with Lucas like 2 days ago
Capaldi- maybe seen in set? Was also on insta with Talalay a bit further back, kinda gotta be paired with Lucas. Would love to see a Wilf capaldi talk. My space grandads
This is shaping up to be a big anniversary. Hope it’s more a celebration of the whole show than the 50th which is more a modern who celebration. Really hoping he gets McGann, probably more than Matt Smith. Man deserves to be in a more than a meh movie and a extra.
Who I really want to show up is David Bradley. If we celebrate 60 years of the show, then let's get back to the beginning.
Talaley is interesting tbh because I would argue she’s not a great film director but she’s a great TV director
@@c17sam90 She made some of Capaldi's best episodes.

This RTD vs Council of Geeks story arc is better than the entirety of the Chibnall era
🤣So true!
Couple of thoughts.
1. Poor Chibs. He tried a lot of different things that on paper sounded good.
2. It's not a high bar. I mean, Star Trek Discovery Season 1 is better than the entirety of the Chibnall era.
@@dante6985 Um, sorry, but how is the timeless child thing ‘good on paper’? Toilet paper, maybe.
@@radic888 The TC story is good on paper as long as you don't stick it on the Doctor. Which Chibbers is currently doing but IMO it works far, far better for it to be the Master. That's what makes it good on paper because the initial idea is good, it's the execution of it where it falls down. 🙂
@@radic888 I said "A lot of things" I didn't say the Timeless Child :-). But it's a salvageable idea - as other people have mentioned - if you give it to The Master. (Why is he so obsessed with immortality? Because on some level he knows he was immortal at one point. Why did he destroy Gallifrey in Spyfall? Because they took his immortality).
But agree. Specifically, the Doctor as the Timeless Child is garbage. Thanks for writing.
Isn't it amazing how we have had more info and details from RTD in a week than we got from Chibnall in the last 3-4 years!
It's also exciting and intriguing news, whereas with Chibbers it was always just 'meh' at best.
Heartstopper is much more than just a high school show, though. It's nothing like "everything in my life is dramatic", this is more real and honest. I don't think it's wise to just shrug it off as a "high school show" without a second glance.
agreed! It's the complete opposite of a show like Euphoria or Riverdale in terms of drama.
As someone who also doesn‘t enjoy Highschool drama I agree 100%. Heartstopper is amazing.
yes! It's barely a drama. Definitely worth a shot, plus the season is only four hours all up so it's not that much of a commitment
It feels nice to care about doctor who again, hype is building and a community is reforming
Worth mentioning that RTD really likes the name Rose and has used it in lots of series he has written. It's therefore not inconceivable he would like a new Rose in this era.
(By the way, I hate teen dramas too but Heartstopper lured me in and I now adore it.)
Really looking forward to everything we've seen so far.
Also I think I read somewhere that Cribbins had surgery to have his knees repaired just a few months back so I can only assume the wheelchair is to assist his mobility that they will write into the show
I really love that Bernard's presence and the general evidence from on-set pictures makes it look like we're seeing a later timeline Donna. RTD's tenure had its ups and downs generally, but Donna's ending always stuck out to me as being unnecessarily and gratuitously bleak. I'm starting to think that RTD is going to use this special as an excuse to give Donna the happier and more satisfying ending (with all her memories intact) that I think she and her fans deserved, and I'm very much here for it.
When I watched your prior video, I thought: Perhaps they're shooting around David's schedule and the 60th Anniversary Special could still air AFTER Gatwa's debut. That you mentioned that here, just gives me added hope that we're both not wrong and Gatwa's 14 will get at least a special or something prior to the 60th Anniversary so that 14 is allowed at least a little bit of room to breathe before 10 and Donna reappear on our screens. Great video as always! RTD has really got you on the yoke lately! ~Be Blessed
Seeing the first shots from the filming coming out, it makes sense to me now that they announced Ncuti kind of our of nowhere. They could have realised that due to the schedule the first set photos will be of Tennant and that totally fans the flames of Tennant being the14th Doctor, and could potentially undercut Ncuti's announcement if it came out after these photos.
They always do *Something* big for the specials. Bringing back David and Catherine doesn't surprise me, though I am curious the story they plan to tell, and how it integrates with Current era.
Heartstopper is maybe something you could watch with your kid. Although it is a teen HS story, its very british, and has a wholesomeness to it you don't get on American series. Think Disney, but with less cheese and more earnestness and heart. The romance is innocent, and the friendships are highlighted as much as the romance.
Hello, we share a name, which is cool.
@@amos.rand_vfx it was a nickname some gave me years ago. Like using it online. Not many good ways to shorten Amy
I have a theory that the special might be a standalone Tenant story and that it will set up some kind of event that will carry over into Gatwa's run as the doctor. I'm probably wrong but it would be a cool way to kick off Gatwa's story.
My idea was a couple of minisodes, starting with David Bradley being involved in something and then it has consequences over several regenerations.
Jeez Louis! TWO video in 4 hours! Love your channel, major respect for the constant coverage!
I think we've all gotta agree that RTD is definitely doing something new with the show (despite brining back an _old_ Doctor lol). The stuff that's been announced so far is definitely showing some promise and progression. Can't wait to see how this all plays out.
Also, I think the idea of an additional earlier special is definitely plausible, especially since otherwise there'd be another entire year wait for a new episode - y'know, hype might die down for casual viewers if the wait is too long.
There are so many people with so many opinions about all this and I can muster up nothing but giddy joy & excitement. No idea where RTD will take us but I’m so ready for the ride
I had to laugh at your pleas to RTD😂. We get two videos in one day, what a treat! I have to admit I didn’t even think “Rose” could be Donna’s daughter. Except Donna is not supposed to remember Rose at all, is she? We know there’s a sliver of memory left in Donna, she may have unconsciously named her daughter because the name just popped in her head…anyway, I can’t wait. And your theory about shooting schedules make perfect sense. I don’t know if they’re still doing Covid protocols in the UK, which would make filming slower and they’re trying to get as far ahead with production as they can, hence all the announcements. Thanks for the video, and you look great by the way.
A point about Bernard Cribbins: my husband has done a lot of extras work (in crowd scenes, in banghra dances, as an exceptionally tall elf, yadda yadda) and has encountered Cribbins twice in the last four years. While Cribbins would be standing or as we've seen before, once a director would cut the scene, assistants would rush up with a chair for Cribbins. Take that for what it's worth. As an extra side, Cribbins would make a point of talking to everyone on set and was very friendly. Super nice guy.
I don’t think it’s the meta crisis Doctor just because it’d be far too confusing to explain to general audience’s who haven’t seen season 4 of Doctor Who recently
I'm a huge heartstopper fan so this casting makes me very happy
Happy, but nervous for Heartstopper. This maybe why Netflix hasn't announced a second season yet.
@@JayceMaxwell there will be a sceound season if nuciti can do more sex Ed she can do heartstopper and if there isn't I will burn Netflix to the ground
@@JayceMaxwell Now a 2nd season has been announced! And a 3rd!
I haven't seen this theory before, and I'm not sure if it makes sense anymore, but there is a simple way to fix the problem of having previous Doctor(s) in the 60th without having the 13th Doctor regenerating into the 10th or the 10th overshadowing the 14th. We could follow the story from the new companion perspective instead of the Doctor's. This "new companion" could have a one off adventure with the 10th in one special, the 11th or 12th in another, and maybe with Unit and classic companions in another. All of them interconnected culminating with a story with the 14th Doctor. The new companion being Donna's daughter might complicate things a bit, but I can imagine a 10th Doctor / story set in the near future where they meet her. There is a lot of timey wimey possibilities here.
I like this idea. She could end up on an adventure with Tennant and Tate (from before rose was born) get home and tell her own time line mum and the this messes with her head causing ncuti to show up to fix her?
You're right. The Doctor as portrayed by Tennant IS having an adventure with the most beloved companion of modern Dr Who. ....and Donna Noble as well.
Well, the news about Bernard Cribbins returning extends his lead on the Longest Time Between First & Last Appearances in a Dr Who Product as his first role was back in the 1966! So that's - what - erm - 57 years??? Amazing!
That early appearance wasn't an official Doctor Who product, so unfortunately it doesn't count. It would be nice though as I love Cribbins. The two Cushing movies have zero direct connection to the TV show. The only reason they exist is because Terry Nation had the rights to the rights to the Daleks. They're Dalek movies far more than Doctor Who movies, because well....they aren't Doctor Who movies. 🙂
@@Elwaves2925 The Cushing films basically re-run the plots of the first two Hartnell Dalek stories, but that's as far as it goes. Sure, the movies feature the TARDIS, the Doctor and Susan (also Barbara in the first movie), but there are major differences between them and their television equivalents.
@@ftumschk Exactly. Some names carry across and the odd concept (time travel and the TARDIS for example) but Cushing isn't playing The Doctor, he's playing a Dr. called Who. He's also fully human not Gallifreyan.
@@Elwaves2925 ... and his TARDIS interior looks more like an untidy garage than an alien space/time machine ;)
@@ftumschk Although now that you say it, how about something similar for Ncuti's TARDIS interior? It'll definitely be different for the show.
Not serious but also serious. 😄
This has got me exceedingly interested in the 60th. Here’s my no hold-barred theory:
Whatever happens to 13 is traumatic, and soul-crushing. The regeneration triggered does not lead to Ncuti Gatwa, but a series of re-regenerations the Curator teased in the 50th. Might even have Tom Baker cameo again in the role. The first re-regeneration is to Tennant as the ultimate regression into grief and self-loathing. Just a snippet from the set and Tennant’s Doctor doesn’t just look older but looks decidedly weary and haggard. The 60th anniversary is Tennant’s re-regeneration rediscovering the love of adventure/heroism and it eventually triggers a regeneration proper into Ncuti Gatwa, with Rose Temple-Noble as a companion!!
Sorry but I think having Tennant in a re-regeneration is a horrible idea. For one, it would still make him the 14th and undo the way the show has always worked. Second, Ten shouldn't look older (even if Tennant does), as he can't be playing any older than when regenerated because he has to be from within his timeline. Unless he's not the actual Doctor of course, as the meta-crisis Doctor would age. Thirdly, the line from the Curator implies that they returned to those 'old faces' when they were really, really old and effectively in retirement. Bear in mind that it wasn't the Curator as a younger Tom Baker, he was an old Tom Baker (for obvious reasons), hence the double meaning of him using 'old' in that line.
However, 13 having a traumatic regeneration does fit with a theory of mine. It all goes wrong, worse than ever before and the Doctors have to get together to save themselves. This could work by 'sidelining' Ncuti until the 60th (whether we get one or multiple episodes), which then leads into Ncuti's full series with their companion, which may or may not be Yasmin. Although, I really don't like the idea of RTD starting again with another Doctor and Rose double. He's done that, time to move on and it's why I don't think the next companion will be called Rose.
My theories:
1 This Tennant is the Master!
2 This is a Christmas special hence the early filming. Then specials with Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi in 2023 building up to the 60th with Ncuti.
🤣🤣🤣
I'm getting really excited for this coming era and anniversary
I’m wondering if this is all about the health of Bernard Cribbins tbh. Maybe they want him and because he’s 93 they want to get his stuff done now. Gatwa is busy filming Barbie.
I love to think of Russel T watching this and having a good laugh as he is trolling us in the funniest way possible. 🤣
Heartstopper is an amazing comfort watch and it's not very long, it'll take you like an afternoon to watch it so I 11/10 recommend
I was so sad when Capaldi regenerated; but on the other hand Whitaker’s regeneration (and a Tardis reconfiguration) can’t be soon enough!
Given Time's warning at the end of "Flux", I'm hoping that 13 is "Destroyed" in the centennial (otherwise Time letting 13 go is completely stupid) and the special will be centered on The Meta-Crisis Doctor, Donna, Wilfred & Rose going on an adventure to "restore" The Doctor to life and once successful, we get to meet 14
1:40 I'm laughing so hard at this situation because I've watched it happen as it did and it was so fun to see it kinda live
Thank you, Vera, for the Dr. Who Knews. I really appreciate it. 😁
10th Doctor Sorry? That's a WHOLE lot of sorry
I for one am looking forward to one final showdown between Scrooge McDuck and Magica Despell.
I am happy to Tenant, Tate and Wilf one last time but it worries my that they will overshadow Gatwa if he is in the special.
I love you and your videos so much!!! 🥰🥰🥰 When you say Rose Trample Noble I have goosebumps here, I am so excited with this new RTD era!!
Brava Vera! For your delightful dry humor and for being such a hard worker.
Please RTD, do let us breathe!!! 😁😁
Also very excited about Fourteen and the special ft. Ten and Wilf (and someone else too, I seem to recall... 🙄)
Way to go!!! Thanks for making this video today!
Rebecca Root is freaking AMAZING! I highly recommend Stranded to anyone who hasn't listened to it yet.
I've heard great things about Stranded and want to check it out. IIRC I left off with Dark Eyes 2.
I will say that I liked the way they wrote 'the master' back in. I wasn't sure if it was going to be convoluted or not, but they did it just right.
They've just announced a different actress playing Rose.. I think we're getting a whole different universe to play with - this has the potential to be absolutely fucking nuts!!
XD I appreciate that in the comments or the pinned comment of the other video you mentioned that you were immediately making another video. I'm not a big Doctor Who Stan, but I had seen discussion of the fact that apparently a while back, I don't know how far back, but tenant was spotted in a place where he shouldn't have been unless he was filming Doctor Who content or doing Doctor Who content, and then it was like half covered up? With like his wife making a comment that he was supposed to have been off picking up kids or something at the time?
I don't pay enough attention to like know what the timing was on that, but that was going to be my first comment on your previous video, the possibility that he had been already filming some material or working on some material for something like this ahead of time, either you know as it impacted what the material was going to be or yeah like you say just cuz he's very much in demand in a way that Not all actors and recurring who actors will be.
Hopefully you actually get to chill a minute before the next bombshell. XD
I just started going back and watching old videos, and the comment at 14:30 is really funny to hear in retrospect 😆
😂 the way RTD was like im gonna go quiet now lol nope
Wilfred is my favourite "companion" I'm so happy right now 😭😭😭😭
they could introduce the 14th Doctor like Capaldi... just a brief close up of his smile 😁
I love Yasmin Finney in Heartstopper so much 😍😍😍 I REALLY HOPE she is Donna's daughter and the new companion!!!
The intro bit alone was worth the price of admission and the like
I appreciate the extra content and effort!
Didn't the Fifth Doctor briefly take on his old personalities when he regenerated? Maybe it's like that, but more physical...
If I had to guess, Yasmin is playing Donna’s daughter who will appear in the story with Tennant but will make a return during 14’s first proper series as the companion like how Catherine Tate herself was in The Runaway Bride before coming on for Series Four.
RTD famously reuses character names. He previously wrote Bob & Rose. Queer As Folk has Mr Tyler and Mr Jones. I wouldn't rule out, someone just coincidentally named Rose.
Great video. Like your analysis of it and how you stick to the facts. Just hope we can get back to some good storytelling.
I'm so glad they managed to bring back the character of Wilf, the actor Bernard Cribbins is 93 years old now, so the wheelchair does make some sense just in the age space.
I#'m really looking forward to this special, and I hope its everything people are looking for. Actor wise, we're certainly getting them I think!
Finney is a great actress,. I'm super sure she's playing Rose Temple-Noble.. Not just because it all makes so much more sense than an alternate version of Rose Tyler, but specifically because the article posted on the Doctor Who TV website, literally has it stated in the URL.
I'm kinda hoping she does end up as Ncuti's Doctor's companion. I think they'd have great chemistry.
Omg Rose Temple Noble would be Amazing
I feel like this could be an interesting take on the 60th where we don't see Whittaker or Gatwa as one has just left and the other has only just been cast, and rather so maybe it could be a multi-doctor story without either of those two?
Keep up the great work!
Its great to see the fans excited again, its like Doctor who is not asleep anymore
While I agree that Tennant and Tate being busy and only having now to fit this into their schedule makes sense, I also have to wonder if they're also doing this for Cribbins too. Because, while I hate to be a downer, he is 93, and while a quick search about his health brought up that as of 2018 he was fine aside from back problems (which may account for the wheelchair, though whether it would also be Wilf's in-show I wouldn't know)... When you get to that age especially, it can be really hard to predict long-term availability. Maybe Tennant and/or Tate had other openings later, but the three elected to film now while they know all of them are ready rather than wait and see. Or perhaps it just was the only opening they had and it just works out nicely that Cribbins is able to be there too. Either way, I'm just really glad to see him returning with Ten and Donna, Wilf is just the purest soul and even if his role on the show was brief compared to other companions, it's a joy to see him again.
Oh god this is my favourite intro of any video ever. Your apology to RTD is lovely.
Heartstopper doesn't fit that description of high school drama btw. I really do recommend that show. Sorry just wanted to say that though I'm sure you're already annoyed. I'm really excited for the new RTD era but am trying to not speculate too much because he has that track record of messing with fans. As to the 60th being the first outing for the new doctor I would sincerely doubt that's the case but I totally agree that it's probably a scheduling thing. They almost never shoot these things in order. Everything has to be put together in the editing suite later, anyway.
that's such a lovely dress, where did you get it from?
David and Catherine were seen filming a scene where they were running away and pushing Wilf into the TARDIS. I'm pretty sure the wheelchair is a mobility aid for Cribbins too though. He is 93 years old after all.
You're opening is hilarious. Congrats.
Gràcies!
Very interesting how he's using the 13th Doctor's tardis exterior...
Rani’s dad in The Sarah Jane Adventures always seemed a bit sus to me… Kinda had a sneaking suspicion that he had a fob watch stashed away in a junk drawer & he named his daughter after a vague impression of a memory from his past he couldn’t quite pin down 😏
Most important thing to say about this upload...what a beautiful sapphire blue top you are wearing, it really suits you xxx
"Davieeeees!" *shakes fist*
I think Tennant is playing the meta crisis doctor who has somehow gotten stuck on the main universe of DW. I hope Tennant gets to interact with Gatwa as that’d be awesome
Makes so much sense that Donna would call her daughter 'Rose' - even if she doesn't remember, Rose had an impact on her. That's what I'm hoping for.
And even though it's wild speculation, it would be super cool for Donna's daughter (if she is) to become the new companion - I'm a big fan of that theory. It would just be really cool and a nice little thread to bring through some of RTD's original run into the new stuff.
There are reasons to be worried… but I can’t help to only be excited!!
I am so freakin' excited for all of this.

To be fair, _Night of the Lepus_ does sound a lot like a Doctor Who episode title!
I’m so unbelievably hyped.
Re: Tennant overshadowing Gatwa- I don't think this is THE 60th anniversary special. They've been cited as appearing in scenes that will be part of the 60th Anniversary celebration. I think this could be night of the doctor-esque, but probably full episode length. I don't think they'd be filming this early for the 60th special. There's a possibility that the 60th will be a number of specials rather than one big special like Day of the Doctor
meanwhile in a small office RTD is working out the perfect drip feed formula to make it so their's enough time to make a video before the next bit of news comes out
Whether you think it's stupid or not, the "Tennant playing the 14th Doctor theory" has a lot of weight to it now. I didn't take it seriously until today, but there was a leak posted to reddit 2 weeks ago claiming that that would be the plot and that Donna would have a daughter named Rose, and sure enough, that latter bit of information was at least half confirmed with the announcement of a teenage character named Rose. So, it's looking very likely that the former is true as well. I personally hated the idea at first, but I think it could work as long as whatever sci-fi nonsense allows this to happen also allows other Doctors like Smith and Capaldi also get to be in it as well. That way, no one era is held above all the others. Unlike the typical multi-Doctor stories, this could allow the actors to play older versions of their characters that have more knowledge and experiences than they did before which is interesting to me.
Since Tennant is apparently using Jodie’s Tardis, I think it’s likely Jodie is regenerating into Tennant (14th). The 14th then meets Donna Noble and Wilf again. Donna has kids and one of them is Rose. Rose becomes Tennant’s new companion. Tennant regenerates into Gatwa, and off we go. Whether this just happens in the 60th Anniversary or in a series of Specials, I’m not sure.
The show has never had the doctor regenerate into a previous face then the new one that’s not how regeneration works and David himself stated in universe cannon the doctor can’t go back to previous faces
@@kevin10001 The curator says he can "In the future you may find your self revisiting some of the old faces..."
Heartstopper is one of my new favourite shows!
That is assuming Wilf’s on the Tardis. Maybe 14th goes to his time. Maybe he has a one off trip. Maybe he is taking out of time (ala the 5 doctors)
Please don’t overwork yourself, we will watch whenever you post 💜
Also don’t forget that Dan said that he’s been with the doctor for 5 years but time is relative anyway
I'm not-so-secretly hoping that Rose is actually Mickey and Martha's daughter. I haven't heard anything about them being involved and that's the main reason that I think it's a long-shot. They can't just have her (new Rose) show up and say "my folks said you might need my help some day." I think TPTB will make it into a good special and that's what's most important.
Im amazed at how fast this video was made.
More likely Jodie Degenerates back into Tennant (which has happened to the doctor before 7 back to 6 ,11 and 12 back to 8 and 9 as well) and at the end goes back to jodie for a final speech as she regenerated into Ncuti
Yes, please do something about Redacted! When/if you can make the time. I've heard episodes 1-5 so far and I like the vibe of it, there's a different sensibility to it than the recent seasons or even Big Finish.
I would love for the new Rose character to either be Donna's daughter in a special, or the new companion, but not both. I'm incredibly excited for RTD's return, but the more I hear, the more worried I am about elements from his original run overshadowing and possibly damaging the show's long term future
Between this AND the Centenary, there is a lot to be excited for! It is a good time to be a Doctor Who fan! Also interesting to note that Tennant has Jodie's TARDIS, not his original one and since the original one still exists I absolutely think this is deliberate... I wonder if there will be a... twist at the end of the Centenary? Very intriguing...
So far I'm more excited for the centenary because it actually seems to he a celebration of the whole show and acknowledging the classic era, where as so far the 60th anniversary so far doesn't seem to be that much of a celebration of anything other than the RTD era.
@@charlestownsend9280 well I think we will see, there is probably more we don't know about the 60th.
The running theory I have heard which I doubt will be the case but you never know, is the whole reason for Tennent coming back is something to do with the Timeless Child and the Fob Watch going crazy inside the Tardis. This is mostly because the Tardis box seems to be close to Whittakers one. I doubt it is since I cannot see RTD wrapping up the story but since Chibnall has said he is not going to, RTD might want to get rid of this loose plot thread we are all pulling on for answers, it would also help to have it wrapped up and complete for S14 to make writing easier than having to almost dance around the whole thing.
