Just bought a 98 t4 coming from a 07 astra design...this will be a welcomed mod for the van cheers buddy
Done loads of these -always fit genuine door bellows look so much better.
I've done this to about 5 Vehicles and never had a problem
Been meaning to get a set for mine. Keeps the wires safe and from snapping 😁 also looks better too. 👌
Wicked video dude 👍 I’ll be getting on with this soon!
Thanks mate 🤙 makes such a difference
That was funny your daughter finishing off at the end, made me laugh bless her.
She loves doing the Outro even when I do it she's doing it behind the camera
I fitted mine in the bottom of the door as the solenoid has a straight pull of the lock mechanism in the door. I used factory rods for the front doors and coat hanger wire for the rest. Never had a issue with them 😁
I was thinking of fitting mine there but the kit I had made it easier to place there really.
Great vid, Love the hat dude 👊
That means alot from you guys.
Its the only hat I wear 🤙
Hello a great video 👍👍👍greetings from Germany 🇩🇪 👋👋👋✌️Kai
Hi mate 👍
Great video, may I ask if you have done one on fitting it to the sliding door?
I have made one for the sliding door my friend
@@PranceProject found it. Thank you. 😊
@Adventure.with.Robbie no problem mate
How does the installation sit with the immobiliser? Is it connected to it? If so where is the immobiliser situated? Or are the two things working independantly? If so how is the immobiliser operated? Thanks
Did you end up cutting the remote keys that came in the kit ? I found some replacement VW keyblades for the flip key so that it would fit a t4, but when i took it to get cut at the local locksmiths, I was told that the keys supplied with the central locking kit didn't have an immobiliser chip in them so it wouldn't start the van. Just wondering what you did?
Cheers mate!
All you need to do it take the immobiliser chip out of your key now and put it in the flip key case
👍
On my 'To do' list, always having probs with me doors, need me electrics sorted first tho
Very easy and effective job, when mine broke and I had to keep running around the van I was looking my mind
Any chance you could link to a similar kit on ebay? Your original link is dead
Did you check the battery in the fob? 🤔
Yer checked that and checked the other fob as I have 2 and not that its was the control unit box thing that had broken
Como fazer estalasao do kit
I have a quick question... Is mine connected to the immobiliser and what do I do with the keys that come with the new kits?
It comes with fobs there should be keys and the keys won't fit anything your not changing the locks to anything
@@PranceProject cheers appreciate it am a new T4 owner and I always seem to get problems that noone else gets but that's why I love it haha, my locking has 100% failed electrical, all doors lock on the key individually, but not on button or all together with the key as it did before but the button still actives the immobiliser.. The LED has a solid light on the receiver which I presume its a fault, just unsure how it will affect the immobiliser if I change the centralocking
What central locking you got or getting.
It should work alongside with the Immobiliser
@@PranceProject I believe I may have the original the central locking as the QA date says passed 1998, but it looks like the wires have been butcherd into the always live, I can remove the fuse and van starts but also if I press the button on the fob the indicators flicker and then no crank.. I have the original actuators which are four pin, but as of very recently I noticed the receiver light is solid and noting works, if worse comes to worse I could fit new system with new actuators both door, sliding doors and and tailgate and possibly leave the old one in situ for the remote immobiliser
Do all your doors unlock and lock if you use the key in the door lock
Tried fitting mine yesterday, let's just say it ended up in the bin.
No way how come
@@PranceProject I found it a struggle to get the bars to stay on. Everything else was OK. 3 hours later I'd had enough 😳
Thats a shame mate I found when I dont it first it takes ages to get it just right then once you done one you fly the rest.
@@PranceProject I'll look into getting some extra parts for it to fit
What parts u need i have a whole set i havent used i could sell u dirt cheep
Always throwing things 🤣🤣🤣
Its the fastest way to move things 😄 🤣
Have you got a link for the kit please?
Its in the video description I can share it here
Found it. Thank you. How did you wire up the sliding door?
Do not install cheap led bulbs anywhere in the car. The alarm will sound random
No way I havent hooked mine up for the lights alarm or anything, just the poppers
How did you do the
Sliding door bit ?
I have a video next week where I show and install the part to make the sliding door work properly
That's not an install That's a fix
I'm guessing that helped lol
@PranceProject I did help yes thankyou comment wasn't meant for here was meant for another video that only changed the module sorry
