First one that was actually in theaters here .. Went with my best mate.. we both lost our shite as well.
Animation was INSANE, the POV part was INSANE, the story finally made broly canon... It was everything we wanted for way too many years.
Also.. the best parts seriously were the transformations... Instead of just gooing "Wraa" and they're super saiyan, it went balls to the wall..
It made super saiyan feel like something cool again instead of a small little thing everyone can do

There's SS1,SS2,SS3,SS4(only on DBGT)SSG,SSB,SSBE then MUI. Super sayian blue is a mix of SS1 and SSG. And SSBE is super sayian blue evolution only transformation for Vegeta. And MUI is master ultra instinct only for Goku.
Bro they never went supersiyan two the only way you're able to tell is if it has the blue lighting like super saiyan three but goku and vegeta went base then supersaiyan then jumped to God mode gokus more of a beast pulling up on broly with his base form to begin with and handled himself better than vegeta actually 😂 and another thing super saiyan blue is just the super saiyan version of God mode just wanted to explain that becuz you explained it weird to your friend and hopefully he understand that now. ONE MORE thing another way to tell if they ever go super saiyan too is if gokus left side of his hair spikes up a little more than usual and in a movie like this with the attention to deatail if they went super saiyan too theyd definitely show gokus hair up and with the blue lighting but vegetas hair actually stays the same in two but he still has the blue lighting

When I watched it in theaters and goku said “broly call me kakarot” everyone went crazy 😂
It was a moment. For 30+years Goku insisted everyone but Vegeta call him 'Goku'. This was the first time he specifically told someone to call him by his Saiyan name
Goku wanted Vegeta to call him his earth name because they were enemies he later accepts Vegeta as a friend which in turn lets him accept the name Kakarot but yehhh
Same buddy, same. The first ever time Goku actively accepted his Saiyan heritage on screen. I died. I screamed. The cinema was a riot when that happened. I turned to my boyfriend and shook him like a tree but, since he's not a DB fan, he didn't understand why everyone went crazy like that, lol.
I was the only one in my theater that reacted at all to that line, and it made me profoundly sad 😔

A good way to describe Super Saiyan Blue would be, that they somehow found a way to stack Super Saiyan ONTO Super Saiyan God.
Think of Super Saiyan God like a base form, only a _"divine"_ base form. From there, they pretty much just went "devine Super Saiyan", of the sorts.

Super saiyan God is a form in and of itself and then stacking super saiyan onto it which is a 50x multiplier in the anime abd a 10x multiplier in the manga.

Man I remember when I went to the cinema to see this film. there was a little boy sitting next to me and i'll never forget his face in complete awe; like you could see his little brain exploding several times during this fight cause he never saw an animation so magnificent! it was priceless.

I hated Broly until The Super Broly movie. I love how they turned him into an actual person, a kind soul who would rather sit with the animals and enjoy life rather than take it. Gives me an android 16 vibe and I'm digging it.

Yup. Broly had a badass design, badass power, badass menacing and bloodthirsty personality yet his story was so fucking embarrassing. Thanks to DBS Broly he is now my favorite character. His origin story was improved, he’s genuinely an interesting character. When he’s pissed off he’s more powerful than DBZ Broly and is just as ruthless too except a little less bloodthirsty which is fine because he’s still a king. I’m really hoping we get some episodes or maybe a season dedicated to Broly’s development.

I just love that Freeza had to deal with Broly for well over 1 hour. Like that had to be such a massive hit to his ego.
Also shows how amazingly durable Freeza is. Taking Broly on for so long all alone is insane. Probably harder than surviving Namek exploding in his face.

One of the things I’ve seen people acknowledge here and there: the Stardust Breaker essentially takes all of the evil in someone and echoes it with ‘good’ energy.
The fact that it didn’t kill Broly just showed the characters in the movie that he wasn’t a villain, merely scared and misguided.
I saw this in theatres with my ex-fiancee. It was amazing, the fans went wild while she looked at me like i was crazy, nevertheless she became a fan around the end. I hope you both can cherish these moments with eachother. I wish she were still with me but people change I suppose, 3 years together down the drain lol, anyway, awesome reaction guys

I met my girlfriend because of Dbz, during intermission of my girlfriend on the runway she would literally read the manga lol. This show is so damn special, it touches everyone in a special way. I traveled to so many places, the middle east has an arabic dub, france has a french dub, i can go on. No matter where you go it just touches everyone. In my theater, there was an old disabled man that had been watching dragon ball since the 80's. My theater was packed, with all kinds of people, and families. Such a nostalgic reaction here dude, great channel !

Just as a heads up super saiyan blue isn't just God form achieved through normal ways. Super saiyan blue is a saiyan who's reached god level simply turning super saiyan
Yeah, SSB is just stacking Super Saiyan onto Super Saiyan God, similar to how Goku can stack Kaioken on SSB and in the filler anime fight SSJ too. It's basically two transformations at once.
It's a bit of a shame that this very fun Movie Reaction is to this day still the only Dragon Ball content on this channel.

honestly seeing this in theaters was one of the greatest experiences ive ever had in a movie theater. plus it was more packed than i expected a good 60% or so. and everyone was super into it. one of the few times i didnt mind ppl talkin in the theater
Omg let's just pause a minute and give a shout out to the sound. I'm not even a DragonBall Z fan at all but so much thought and detail went into it. they brought 80's anime music that sounds like it came from gundam/robetech into a modern anime. it worked extremely well to accent the importance of each scene - well done.
I just noticed that when Gogeta announced his name, he scoffed afterwards while looking at the camera/audience as if it was the studio telling the audience that he's here now.
Fun fact: Dragon Ball's artstyle hasn't been overhaled in 2 decades its about time there would new artstyle

A distinction between ssj 1 and 2, 2 has extremely spiky hair and electric arcs due to the crazy amount of power being released from it. So no, throughout this fight nobody actually went ssj2.
Also, as said by Toriyama before, the fight was made as “fluff”, as the outcome was pretty obviously going to be Gogeta’s victory, but to make it more exciting and not seem so one-sided a huge display of power and skills were shown. If it were actual reality though, Gogeta would have finished the battle way faster. One way to understand it better is if you thought Broly stood a chance against Gogeta at the end. If not, it means the animators did their job right because it was not supposed to be close at all, and it just looked that way but didn’t feel that way.
This movie was such a goddamn treat for fans. 3 friends and I (all huge DB fans) saw it opening night in theaters, and were just in absolute awe the whole time.

I wasn't ever into anime (because on tv it would only come up with the bad ones), so that held me back from the good stuff. One day, my friends were talking about this show One Piece, so I found it on Netflix, realising it was an anime, but watched it any ways. I really enjoyed it, so eventually, I thought 'Ok, since I like One Piece, why don't I just try Dragon Ball', so I put on Dragon Ball Super Broly, and I fricken' loved it!
I watched it mutiple times and it single handedly, turned me into a Dragon Ball lover, if I watched any over Dragon Ball content, I am not sure if I would be into the series.
The movie, unknowingly answers, most of the questions about the series that you do not know if you are a beginner. Totally recommend it to newcomers of the franchise if your curious.

Well you're wrong about super saiyan blue lol they attained that form by transforming into a super saiyan while in God Mode.
I understand what you’re trying to say, and though I may not be completely correct in my explanation on camera, you’re not entirely correct either.
Goku and Vegeta learned to tap into the power of God Mode on their own, without the ritual, and Blue is the super saiyan form of that self-attained power.
But no, saying Blue is attained by “transforming into a super saiyan while in God Mode” is not entirely always true. Because we’ve seen a number of times, that both Goku and Vegeta can jump straight into Blue without having to be in God Mode.

Idk if anybody else has mentioned it but the ritual seems to just be a shortcut to SSG (which is why it was temporary in Battle of Gods) as it's been stated that Vegeta attained it on his own.

Turning the Demonic Saiyan Hulk into a real character while still setting up his fight with Goku and Vegeta, all using simple story mechanics and background tweaks, ended up being hot damn brilliant. Not to mention if they really wanted to do some kind of "shadow self" storyline with Broly as part of his later character development, sadistic edgelord original Legendary Super Saiyan Broly can easily be that for him, whether literally played straight or adapted into another character that serves as a mirror to him. I think that idea would actually satisfy both those who like OG Broly and don't mind seeing him again as well as those who hate the old version and want canon Broly to be established as his superior.

I saw Broly 4 times, the first of which was IMAX and it was CRAZY HYPE. I'm so glad anime has come to IMAX.
