You can take out the âcanon Brolyâ part of the title as there is no canon any longer in DB and even if it was, this is only Canon specifically to DBS.
I think the reason why Saiyan didn't get to transform in Super Saiyan & can't break their is due to their saiyan tail... The tail can transform them into powerful oozaru but it also make the saiyans grow stronger slowly than the one who didn't have their tail....It is assume the tail prevent tham to awaken saiyan full potential....look at Goku & Vegeta,when the tail gone;They ca n get stronger easily....Just like Goten & Trunks...since they are born without tail,they can transform into super saiyan easily without hard training....for gohan...after ge lose his tail,he get stronger after training more often.

I remember when I saw this in the theatre with my wife when Vegeta knocked him into that mountain i yelled "DRAMATIC FINISH" and the theatre just roared with laughter it was a hype movie we were cheering and roaring with excitment

I do like Z Broly, but I also think Super Broly has a bit more character which I also like. When this movie first came out I certainly didn't expect Gogeta to show up but I'm glad he did

I love how if you pay attention before Freeza blows up the planet, you can see Bardockâs battle armor is battle damaged, meaning he did have an off screen last stand just like the original Bardock special.

I had to drive 50+ miles to go to the theater that showed this movie. My car was capable of overheating. Got me some nachos, and a big Gulp baby! Watched this movie like a kid in Willy wonkas chocolate factory. I was so stoked and left going home with a euphoria. Bought the movie day âđ»
I'm an action junky; I LOVE fight scenes and this was some of the best I've ever seen and there was so much. The animators deserve whatever the good afterlife turns out to be. If there isn't one, make it from scratch just for them.

This may be an unpopular opinion but I really like Friezaâs new dynamic with them in this movie. It feels an antagonistic neighbor, which I donât mind. He might have to work with them again in the future and I am ready for it

This movie made me cry 3x... Seeing Ginne for the first time and learning she is a loving and beautiful mother, Bardock and Ginne saying goodbye to Kakarot, and Goku telling Broly to call him Kakarot. I fucking loved this movie!

I don't know if you guys noticed, but at 28:00 Goku nearly FORCES out ultra instinct! I LOVE THAT DETAIL!!
Ngl, pretty sure that at 27:01 Goku nearly died here, especially when his eyes go white. But if I remember correctly, I think that it was mentioned in the manga somewhere that ssg has some minor healing properties, nothing major like healing massive wounds and stuff, but i think it might've been enough to let Goku go blue and carry on.
I don't think it's him forcing it out but rather a simple animation choice.
There was a lot of creative details added into this movie and that's even more so for the transformations with some of them just going over the top. For Vegeta's ssj transformation his hair went green as a small nod to the original LSSJ (or it was just to make it look cool).
Goku's hair going white was likely just to give a small nod to his highest form as well as give the audience hype rather than him actually getting close to forcing it out.
He wasn't doing that lol
@bembomajembo4402 Nah, SSG healing was a one-time thing added to the Battle of Gods movie by the storyboarders and animators. It wasn't added by Toriyama, and the form never did it again even on Vegeta, so it's arguable if it's even canon.
And if it was meant to be canon, it's probably special to the Ritual SSG form, which might be more special than tapping into it yourself.
To answer your question, the Hakai does have the capacity to erase someone that is immortal, because immortality as a whole is in terms of physicality and not spiritually neither essence, if anything your whole existence is destroyed, there wouldnât be a trace for said immortality to help you survive. At least thatâs how itâs supposed to work unless they retcon or change the Hakaiâs capacity lol

@Bully Maguire are you referring to him fighting all those Frieza soldiers leading up to his confrontation with Frieza? If that's the case, it's implied that this version of Bardock fought other soldiers. He was battle damaged when he went up against Friezas attack

Around when this came out, I was handling the media stock for a prison library. Usually had to buy everything 2nd-hand and follow strict rules. (eg. Stay 'mainstream', rated Teen or lower)
Near the end of my final stock renewal, the DVD version of Broly showed up at the local pawn shop, and I pushed _hard_ to get it included. That disc is probably still doing the rounds to this day.

Paragus didn't make the shock collar for broly. The collar was already on the ship they arrived in. Since the saiyans are planetary conquerors, they probably have those collars in order to gather slaves and prepare them for transport
As an aspiring animator this movie just looks absolutely gorgeous. Iâll still on occasion watch Gogeta vs Broly cause it looks so goddamn good, especially that explosion of energy he uses on Broly before he uses that last Kamehameha

Jiren is still stronger than Broly. Jiren was stated to be stronger than any God of Destruction and that was before he used his full power against Goku. Broly is only implied to be "probably" stronger than Beerus.

i never got to see this movie in theaters, but i did watch it at home. the entire time i had chills throughout my entire body. I love what they did with Broly

Can we take a moment to consider that the ToP lasted 48 minutes. And Frieza lasted over a FULL HOUR trying to survive against Broly while Goku & Vegeta were out doing the Fusion Dance as they had to wait twice for 30 minutes for the fusion the wear off? We know that 1 or 5 minutes is rough in DBZ times, but a full hour?!
Poor Emperor Frieza had the biggest most sudden work out of his life after being brought back to life. HAVE FUN!

The funniest part to me was realizing when they messed up the fusion twice it takes them 15 minutes each time so Frieza was getting his butt whooped for 30 minutes đđ
It actually takes 30 minutes for the fusion to wear off, so Frieza was getting bodied for an hour straight

So the incubator scenes for DB is interesting cuz of a lot of retconning. The saiyan usually stays in there for up to 3 years, Vegeta should be the oldest of the and Goku is the youngest. (Goku is definitlty the youngest because of the majin buu 7 years)
Vegeta was always potrayed as older than Goku from the very beginning tho.

The cool thing about Gogeta in this movie is that, unlike the previous movies and shows where thereâs a hero and villain and weâre always rooting for the hero to win, there is no hero or villain here. Itâs a known thing that he has to be put down for the sake of others, but itâs sad to watch, and at the end, I felt like I wasnât rooting for Gogeta. You can see the focus on Broly getting pummeled, and itâs like watching one of the heroes getting beat. The pupils coming back at the end also was a crazy scene, he literally got some sense knocked back into him at the very last second.
In this movie it isnt explained as to how old broly is. However seeing as him and vegeta are roughly the same age id say hes maybe...3? 4?. because goku is already born but he was born the day the planet exploded, and vegeta is atleast 3-4 years older than goku.

I believe during the flashback of king vegeta and planet vegeta, unless theyâve retconned it, bardock is suppose the secdin strongest after king vegeta so I guess you can say it was destined for both vegeta and goku to be rivals/one of the two strongest (not counting broly ofc)

personally, cause i'm not a goku fan, it was this film and battle of gods that were the only good things from the super series. watching this film in cinema I actually felt like a dragon ball fan and the last time that was the case was battle of gods. i wish if/when the series returns to bring this 2d animation back. it's not for the sake of nostalgia, but it just felt like what the series is suppose to be. Like Goku being a goofy kid worked with it so well

The original Broly movie was cool for what it was...but this Broly is so much more fleshed out, has more personality, and doesn't have a completely stupid motivation for being what he is.
