"But Broly, call me Kakarot" is legit the best ending this could of had. Its the first time he really acknowledged his saiyan name. Literally my favourite part about the movie

Fun fact: gogeta blue was so powerful that the threat of the last kamehameha literally scared broly back to sanity. You can tell because as it's being let off, broly gets his pupils back and expressed fear rather than anger

I loved that they showed the moment Broly’s sanity came back right as the attack was about to hit him. The fear literally knocked the sense back into him

I was so hyped to see that Gogeta came into the canon timeline, about time too! He absolutely dominated the battle once he went SSB against Broly. Best fusion imo!

One thing that's easily missed, is the chuckle by Gogeta when he saw that his Soul Punisher move hardly affected Broly, because that move causes the evil within someone to detonate like a bomb. He knew for fact that Broly was not evil, only confused.
Also, as they were charging the last Kamehameha, Broly's Pupils returned to his eyes, showing that before that attack was launched, Broly was back to his senses
Thats why he smiled when he saw he wasnt evil
this also makes me think that gogeta wasn't actually gonna kill broly, sure gogeta's kamehameha was big and flashy, but there have been tons of attacks like that that haven't killed, hell gogeta probably held back with his last attack

Goku telling Broly to call him Kakarot is a special testament to his character. He always rejected his Saiyan name before and only accepted it when Vegeta calls him that. That was a great moment!
not just that but is also a call back to the OG broly calling goku kakarot nonstop. they just added that easter egg there lol.

Broly’s SSJ transformation is definitely one of the best I’ve seen! His full power SSJ form though, it’s just…wow. If it wasn’t clear that Broly is my favorite DB character, now you know!

thats not right , the true reason why goku and piccolo didn't fuse there is that to actually fuse; both of them (who are doing the dance) must have similar/equal power level. and I believe you know the difference between power level b/w goku and piccolo 🙂🙂

This movie was in US theaters for 3 days, I drove through a blizzard to see it, The theater was so packed, people had to stand and everyone in there was life long dragonball fans. Greatest theater experience of all time.

By my understanding of the fusion technique.
1: the 2 people trying to fuse must have similar height
2: their minds must be clear of all thought
3: their energy levels must be equal to other.
4: preform the dance in perfect sync
They also have to be the same race

actually, according to Toriyama, fusees only need to perform the dance correctly to fuse, being similar height and power level just makes it easier. also according to Toriyama, more than 2 people can fuse together at once, they just have to account for the extra fusees when doing the dance.

I got to give props to DBS broly! The fact that he went berserk after seeing his father die, even after he straight up abused him, it just proves how much he cares for his father. DBS broly is a real one for that.
I really like the fact that no one seems to notice that, by transforming at 1:51, Broly literally atomizes his father's corpse.
The attention to detail in this film is amazing.

In the novels, when Broly screams to charge or throw a ki attack its not because of rage, he screams because of Pain and sorrow.
Fun fact. When Broly is attacking Whis, you can actually see Whis dodge Gogeta's instant transmission. Also, the DBS Broly movie was top tier.

in order to fuse with the dance both of them must be around (or exactly) the same power lvl to equal max power. but with the potara, power lvl doesn't matter
To fuse you have to have the exact same power level. MAX Power leveld oesn't matter, but both fusees have to be exactly equal. That's why Trunks always had to power down to match Goten in DBZ
I still get chills everytime the final moments of Gogeta fighting Broly. The voice acting and the animation is just so incredible. The rising orchestra over it too.

The Fusion Dance, unlike Potara Fusion, has a few requirements you need to meet before you can even attempt the dance itself in order for it to work properly.
1. The two fusees must be of the same race. That's why Goku and Piccolo didn't fuse when they peformed the dance.
2. The two fusees must be of similar build. Meaning they need to be around the same weight and height. If one of the two fusees is much taller or heavier (either by having too much fat or muscles on their body) than the other, the dance won't work.
3. The two fusees must have similar power levels. If one fusee is much stronger or weaker than the other, the dance won't work. DBZ: Kakarot makes a point of this by having a side quest involving Goten. Goten asks Goku to help him train and become stronger because whenever he fuses with Trunks into Gotenks, Trunks has to lower his power level to match Goten's in order for the Fusion Dance to work. By training with Goku, Goten is able to become stronger. Upon meeting up with Trunks to show off his newfound power level, Trunks is touched by Goten's effort to better himself so that Trunks didn't have to lower his power level when fusing anymore.

@@IslamCenter512 As far as I know, gender has no bearing on the success of fusion. The only time differing gender fusees are ever mentioned in canon was during the TOP in DBS.
When Kale and Caulifla use their universe's Potara Earings to fuse into Kefla, Universe 7's Supreme Kai brings up the idea of doing the same thing to combat the new powerful fusion. Supreme Kai, Elder Kai, Beerus, and Whis briefly talk about who they should pick to fuse, and Supreme Kai says that they should give the Potara Earings to Andriods 17 & 18. However, Whis brings up the risks that a fused fighter would have. Namely that, if the fused fighter is knocked out, they would lose 2 of their combatants at the same time. After hearing that, Beerus shuts the idea down completely and it's never brought up or mentioned again.

fun fact: in the 1 hour it took vegeta and goku to get the fusion dance to work while frieza was getting beat to a pulp by broly, the whole tournament of power could have taken place in that time period, since the ToP lasted 40 minutes. so frieza was getting his ass beat for longer than the entire length of the tournament of power.
Also for anyone who didnt notice, at 15:35 broly's eyes came back right before he almost got hit.

Aimin after Vegeta went SSG and knocked Broly in the water, Broly was no longer in his base form anymore . He was in his Ikari state where he turned Great Ape but kept his human form . When Broly just went SSJ, he literally added SSJ on top of his great Ape transformation so he's literally x10 stronger than his base then add x50 to the power he had from turning Great Ape because SSJ is added now . He's strong asf now

Btw gogetas move is called Stardust Breaker, it completely erases everything evil, thats why janemba completely vanished, since he was a collection of the cleaned evil souls. Thats why gogeta smiled after he saw Broly tanking it head on. It meant that Broly was truely not evil at all and just completely lost his mind.

ive rewatched this whole movie so many times. its so perfect!
This is my second most-watched movie. The first being Fusion Reborn. This is undoubtedly my favorite Dragon Ball Movie. The story was immaculate, the new characters were great editions, the old characters were improved, and well, what can be said about the animations? This movie has solidified just how much I LOVE Gogeta. Also, I gotta love the fact that you recognized that Gogeta never got hit after going Blue. Gogeta ran Broly to the ground with his power and techniques. All the new moves that were shown were mind-blowing. The call back to the Soul Punisher/Stardust Breaker was such a hype moment. I have never been more astounded by a movie before. I'm glad you had the same reactions I did when I first saw it. Thank you for also enjoying this masterpiece.

Remember Gogeta is not vegeta or goku , he's another individual who's born and difuses in those 30 min in the end we can see he was smiling and trying enjoy his own existence
The crazy thing is how tough frieza is to have taken a hour long beating from broly, Goku and vegeta only fought him for a few minutes and they had to retreat to do the fusion, but you have to give props to frieza for taking a beating that long, not just anyone can last against broly that long before there body gives out.
Edit: If you look closely when goku and piccolo did the dance you can see piccolo's embarrassment of doing it when his left eye is twitching.
Also the reason goku and piccolo didnt fuse is cause for the fusion dance to work when you got the movement right, both persons power level must be in sync as well meaning they have to be at the same level of power, if one person is stronger then the other at maximum power, then they have to bring there power down to match that persons. it was explained in the majin buu saga when goten and trunks were being trained to learn it.
I love how at the end Goku acknowledged his saiyan heritage
Now imagine how powerful Broly can become if he learns actual fighting techniques from Goku!
Or control his power
And get actual training
Now this is what i was waiting for🔥
the explanation for when they destroy reality in the novel is
”When Broly slams Gogeta around and we see more reality shattering it describes it as something like Broly smashing Gogeta against the walls of space. ”
”Their Ki blast clashed and were just so overwhelming powerful that they broke through the space, time dimension and then unknowingly broke out of that space, time dimension.”
So not only did Gogeta and Broly destroy space and time, but they also destroyed reality.
The best part about the fusion messing up twice means Frieza was getting pieced up for an hour 😂
would’ve been better if he finally gave up and was all bruised and bloddy but then gogeta came back and saved him accidentally

I literally cried after watching this movie. Also the time frame between when dbs ended and the broly movie was well worth the wait.
This movie's 4 years old and it still holds up🔥probably still will in it's 10th anniversary. That's how good it is🔥

One best movie theater experiences I've ever had
I love the movie, but they missed the chance to end it with a Big Bang Kamehameha, I personally would have loved to see it.
I feel like I had the same thought about Vegito in the Zamasu arc, I think there was a point towards the end he had some epic Kamehameha wave that I feel like would have been a sick place for a Final Kamehameha, but it’s mostly just because I want to see it animated in crazy modern style.

EDIT:The Fusion your thinking of is Vegito because for mortals like goku and vegeta the fusion only lasts for a hour because of the potara earrings

potara fusion is permanent but only for kai's and yes the wish is done from porunga to unfuse kibito kai as shown in dbs

The Gogeta and broly fight from base up to ssjb was animated by Naotoshi shida who animated Mui Goku's rage against Jiren in episode 130 too. When Broly powers up post soul punisher, its animated by chikashi kubota, yuki hayashi and more.
Just droppin some info, Naotoshi shida is super easy to tell because of his movement and shading
That's why I saw the animation change a little bit in the Tournament of Power when Goku charged a punch to Jiren

The OST is so great in this movie.
The Stardust Breaker (Gogeta's strongest attack) Will literally decintigrate you if you have even a shred of evil in you. It's like an ampyed concentrated spirirt bomb thats way more powerful than any normal bomb could be. Its more hax than raw power it seems though while sbomb has same ability to eradicate evil. Its got more destructive power. The reason Gogeta laughed after Broly survived it was because it actually proved that Broly isn't a bad guy, and that all this anger has no evil intent behind it.
I wouldn’t compare it to spirit bomb but more like devilmite beam. But yea
