The voice crack whenever Sean (Goku's VA) yells "times ten" makes this whole scene so much better. Goku sounds like he's under so much strain.

Nah Aimin, you're not dumb. Tbh, I think EVERYONE completely forgot about the Kaioken until they brought it back in this episode. We've been seeing Super Saiyan's 1, 2, and 3 for so long that we completely forgot about Goku's original. I don't think any first-time viewers saw this coming haha
Some of us didn’t forget. Kaioken wasn’t exactly forgotten. It’s technical. But SSJ goes off your Ki, but so does Kaioken. If he had used Kaioken during the use of SSJ it would have made his ki destroy his body. Blue is about physical strength and spirit control. Spirit energy is different then ki. Thus when he is ssjb he can use Kaioken again. It’s quite complicated really. As the manga progresses it’s been delving into spirit energy with vegeta’s spirit fission technique.
Ya but he recently seen videos of ssbkk so he would see it coming in this case, I as well thought of kaioken the first time but didn’t think it was forsure

The Power of a God with the Technique of a God overlaying felt like insanity when this aired, and it being a throwback made it insanely hype.
This gave me fat throw back memories.
I wonder why king kai doesnt use any of his techniques. He has potential but all he does is chill on his planet in the Other World listening to jokes. If he would train i feel like he would be very powerful, i mean lets not forget he trained goku yamcha tien and picollo and taught goku kaioken and the spirit bomb. If only he could use it.

This is my favorite episode in dragon ball super seeing kaioken surprised me it is by far my favorite transformation, ever since he used it against Vegeta I was like wow that’s so cool.

This is honestly one of my favourite moments...Goku went insane and Goku in ssbkx10 was so fast that he was able to jump into future just like hit(hit uses a technique but Goku came to that level just by his natural speed)
He didn't jump any future, he simple was fast enough to predict hits improved timeskips aswell as counter attack.
@@shandellskeete3891 while hit was jumping into the future, the hit that was trying to attack goku was jumping in the future but because of goku's speed, he was able to move WHILE hit was jumping in the future
Which technically doesn't make sense tbh but Dragonball lol

Yeah just to explain what happened at the end-
Hit time skips into the kamehameha in order to avoid the main brunt of the blast, but Goku flies up into it to challenge him with a final blow inside the beam of the kamehameha, which is where the episode ends.

crazy fact about this episode. Japan got hit with an earth quake as it was airing so those of us who watched it live got the earthquake warning mid view. also ssjb kaioken x10 still gives me goosebumps. the atmosphere and color pallet changing to red got me so hyped.

One of the best episodes in all of super, nobody expected the Kaioken! Btw, the reason that Goku never used Kaioken with regular SSJ forms is because they were already very demanding on the user's stamina and it was insanely dangerous to use even for a moment. The only reason that it worked with Blue is the amount of Ki kontrol that it requires whitch mitigates some of Kaioken's negative repercussions a bit.
It's actually for a different purpose. The regular SSJ forms are fueled by anger and rage to achieve them and control them, whereas Kaio-ken requires absolute calm. The two forms aren't compatible at all and would've ripped Goku apart (Ik he did it non-canonly one time). SSB is, like Goku said, a form of extreme control. That control as well as the extreme calm are a stern possibility, despite still being difficult and taxing to use.

Na it doesen't make sense that Blue uses Kaioken. That's why it wasn't on the manga
@@Reineerus_The_Rat Even though it was non-canon, the only reason he was able to use kaio-ken with SSJ was because he was dead. If he was in his mortal body in the mortal realm or whatever they call it, it would've killed him. So even though its filler, its still got a rational explanation! :P

He can combine kaioken with his other forms, but the the reason he chose ssb is becuz ssb has nearly perfect ki controll so it'll help maintain the kaioken, in a filler episode(dbz) goku stacked kaioken with ssj but it only lasted like 5 seconds
will ssj with kaioken wood kill goku but goku was able to use on pikkon cos he was dead as goku himslef said when your dead your body can handle more that wya ssj3 work better in other world

SS is pure rage so it's extremely hard to use kk with it when he is alive, so goku when dead could of quickly pull it off.

When your aura gets an aura of its own you know shit is getting real. This man beating up someone who creates pocket dimensions to skip time. This is where DB reached another level again for me. Goku actually didn’t use the Kaioken with Super Saiyan because you need precise KI control and a calm state of mind. Regular Super Saiyan forms were always full of rage and too emotional and would be lethal to combine the Kaioken technique with. I absolutely love the Kaioken and I missed it so much. King Kai the GOAT. I do however think it’s a bummer that Goku didn’t care to pass it on. Someone who trains intensively like Piccolo with regeneration would be a tank with Kaioken. It would also make him more relevant again. Even Tenshinhan could master it because he trains so hard and probably has insane KI control aswell. Technically Cell would be able to use it too because he had Goku’s cells. The only reason he didn’t use it was probably because he’d be unstoppable back then. It’s a broken technique in the hands of the right person. It’s a technique from a God so yea. Imagine someone like Buu with Kaioken. His unique body and insane regeneration would probably allow him to keep pushing the technique. Imagine a Buuhan with Kaioken times 1000 or even higher.

What so funny about this is take AIMIN was saying about "not doubling to half a second for the timeskip" and hit actually went that far before he fought goku again
This is the episode that hooked on me Super 100%, the kaioken a technique almost no-one expected to appear again returns in one of the hypest fights in all of dragon ball. This works amazingly on a nostalgic level AND it has a reasonable explanation, Kaioken requires great ki control making it unsuitable for regular SSJ forms to use but Blue is all about great ki control so those 2 naturally compliment each other.
