It’s explained later that Monaka put so much speed and power into that punch that it led into that delay of hit flying. The problem was that even the cameraman couldn’t keep up with Monaka’s speed

By the way aimin Hit's total strength level wouldn't even get up to ssg level. The only reason he hurts so much is because he knows exactly how and when to strike at their vitals(basically he knows how to hit their weak spots and combining that with timeskip which allows hit to land those hits he is able to take on opponents with a much higher power level than his own).
But that means he can pretty much destroy blue Goku unless he's UI

Yeah the anime didn't do the best job portraying that. Also a lot of people seem to miss in the you know what arc that to the gods they are playing a very important game of chess so of course they would be mad or insanely surprised when someone gets stronger out of what seemd like nowhere.

We can get multiple times stronger and faster but our bodies doesn’t allow us to because we’d tear our muscles apart (just like what happens to Goku), so this extra strength only comes out during life and death situations
