  • An unfair boxing match; Beta Cell Burnout is a state when due to overtime insulin production the cells are exhausted and many of them die off resulting in high blood glucose and diabetes. But can we restart this boxing match again and fix this cause of diabetes naturally?

    BUT… for three years I have had a low carb and little to no sugar daily. My eyes, teeth, blood pressure and various other things have improved greatly without any medication. Diabetic since 1998.
    However, my Ha1c is still very high. I refused the insulin suggestion and six other medications from the nurse practitioner, MP again and will be seeing a specialist. The NP when asked for an alternative plan she suggested beta cell program.
    My concern is how to get the beta cells working if I have done all you suggested in this video, including dropping 36 lbs and my Ha1c is still too high? The NP suggested that I may need to reduce my beet juice intake, but it is my source for nitric oxide.

    • @gautamguha71newdelhi
      @gautamguha71newdelhi  Před 2 lety +2

      Its difficult to comment in general without knowing how bad was your diabetes and what medicines / insulin was prescribed. I guess your decision to do it without medicines was not correct. You can't start running after say injuring your leg without support straightaway. Once your leg heals back - you can run again without support. Similarly in diabetes you can't leave medicine support suddenly and that too before even you have addressed the root cause of insulin resistance. Rest please see video no 28 for understanding the right application for reversal and video 29. Video 22, 23 will help understand the diet application. For nitric acid do the right form of high intensity and strength training. Will not need beetroot.

    what is the normal range for fasting insulin sir ...is it 2 - 23 ?

    • @gautamguha71newdelhi
      @gautamguha71newdelhi  Před 3 lety +8

      Yes 2-25 mcIU/mL. That's the normal range. In normal healthy individuals insulin levels are proportional to blood glucose levels. Too high levels of insulins can cause the blood sugar levels to fall leading to hypoglycaemia and too low levels of insulin can lead to the increase of blood sugar levels in the body resulting in a condition known as hyperglycaemia.
      Insulin resistance (IR) is the condition where the cells do not respond normally to Insulin and needs excess amount of insulin to maintain the healthy glucose levels in the body, a task which earlier required lesser amount of insulin.
      And hence from IR point of view, an approx generalisation of values will be - fasting insulin of over 8 is mild and above 10 is moderate and above 12 is high IR. For HOMA-IR we need to factor in the fasting blood glucose too.
      Sorry for a bit long reply. Hope it helps.

      The child is too small to understand things now. Just help to manage his diabetes better. His insulin units should be bare minimum. By the time your child is 15+, there will be new and better ways to deal with type 1. In any case, by keeping low carbs and picking up healthy food options, and making your child aware of the importance of the correct lifestyle you will make him or her mentally and physically stronger.

      Properly functioning beta cells release both insulin and C-peptide on a 1:1 ratio.Hence, C-peptide test is a nice way to gauge what is going on inside the pancreas. As of today, the C-peptide test is the only test to confirm the destruction of beta cells ... When u say 66.2 ??? What is that test ? Not understood. Are u T1 diabetic?

      @@mohanaaraj4032 In Type 2 diabetes, beta cells gradually lose their ability to produce insulin. We have to regain it back and that in simple terms is improving your insulin sensitivity or reducing your insulin resistance. In your case, I don't know how this test has been done - glucose administered or fasting ? Also if you are on insulin or not etc? a correct approach would be to do a HOMA IR test and that should be less than 2.6.
