- Diet plays a crucial role in weight loss and reversal of diabetes and other lifestyle ailments which are a fallout of Insulin Resistance. In order to remain motivated on the path of reversal journey it is important to have tangible and visible short term results. The mere avoidance of certain common staple foods which have actually been a catalyst in building up insulin resistance in our body in conjunction with certain other factors, can show visible and marked improvements in our health.
In this video I have listed out 5 such types of food or food groups which must be avoided for a certain period of time, depending on your present health status, intensity of your application and bio chemical response of your body. The idea is to get healthier first which will entail that we also lose weight or shed excess fat naturally. I personally had abstained from these foods for about 18 weeks from Jan to May 2018 during my reversal journey.
Every food that we take is a mixed bag of nutrition. Hence, as we try to avoid some foods for betterment of health, it is important that we balance the nutritional intake by consciously adding certain other relevant foods in our diet. Once the health biomarkers improve, one can modify, recalibrate and reintroduce certain specifics of these foods in a smart, healthy and controlled manner.

I am diabetic for last 5 years and no doctor has ever told to refrain from eating chapati ,dal and rice. Now after seeing your videos and some other I have learnt what it requires to reverse the diabeties.Doctors never agree that diabeties can be reversed, they want patient to come to them throughout their lives. I have reduced my sugar to normal level by OMad ( one meal a day) and intermittent fasting with Keto diet. I have also noticed that Daal and Fruits intake increase sugar. @@sudhaprasad1835 Avoid white rice, Atta, Maida, Bread, Sugar, Cold drinks, Buiscits, energy drinks, Refine oil, Chips, Pizza, burger, Mithai( sweets), oats, dalia, Potato, sweet fruits like Angoor, Mango, Anarash etc. Take more of green veges, leafy vegeitables, onion, meat, Eggs boiled or omlate, ghee, nuts, Green tea, extra vergin( kacche ghani) mastered oil, olive oil or coconut oil etc. Take 1tsp Apple cider vinegar in lukewarm one glass water at morning in empty stomach. Take Alpha lipolic acid suppliment. It is available in Amazon.in. Above all fast for at least 16 hours in a day. Hope it helps.

Wowww, amazing information. I have pcos, and already left milk, gluten, packet food, sugar, honey, I take stevia instead. very rarely eat daals which is once in a blue moon, basically on very low carb diet. Normally I eat lots of veggies in steam, raw and in soups. My lunch and dinner is without carbs only veggies and chicken or fish. Mornings i take chia seeds in almond milk and fruits(apple, wild blueberries and banana) Or make detox smoothies. I think i need to change that. Thank you for giving us this information, very useful.
Two points - firstly why boiled or steam ?! The condiments and masalas are another power house that you shouldn't miss out. Secondly, you have identified the issue of fructose ! Keep it as less as possible.
Your health and internal bio markers (blood reports) actually will decide a bit more on your diet.

You are so right. When my doctor told me that i have diabetes, i changed my diet. I took time realizing that even eating dal is not good. I started keto and brought my sugar level from 7.5 to 6

@@maryamzahid8631 Sorry for the late response. So I was not a big meat eater. But in keto, I eat eggs , chicken and fish. With that I take lot of salad. I go for walk 2 miles everyday and it helped me a lot. Technically, i am doing meditarian diet but no grains and flour. You will be fine

It's simple eat everything, but just in small portions. Tell yourself everyday that you do it for your own health. It takes a while but you have to change your mindset and stay strong.

Left rice varieties, daal, milk, refined oil, raagi, jowar etc, my main food is vegetables, nuts, seeds, roti made of flax seeds and other seeds.

I've managed to get off diabetic medication by avoiding carb staples, sugars, and milk. I still have a lot of weight to lose and reduce cholesterol and BP. Avoiding legumes is an eye opener. Thank you.
Must get your fasting blood insulin tested - has to be less than 5.0 ... Insulin is the fat storage hormone ! Once you are insulin sensitive.... The fat loss will also happen. @@meeranayak don't eat potato, rice and starchy vegetables and fruits. Use besan instead of wheat or mix it with wheat and eat non starchy vegetables n fruits. N don't eat carbohydrates between meals for snacking. Have dry fruits n nuts. Check your blood sugar daily fasting and after meal you'll know which foods are spiking your sugar n avoid them

You have not mentioned any thing about Parboiled Rice.
Diabetes Canada guidelines for diabetic patients advise that they can safely take Parboiled Rice Which doesn't increase the sugar.
Parboiled rice has double the fiber than you'd get from cooked white rice. It has a low glycemic score of 38, compared with a high 89 for white rice, notes Harvard Health Publications. A low glycemic score indicates that the carbohydrates in parboiled rice do not cause a large spike in blood sugar.
Sela rice also called parboiled rice is that rice which is steamed while the grain is in the husk, and then dried and milled. Hope to get your clarification.
Sir low glycemic score shouldn't be decided by any diabetic association ! They haven't been able to control diabetes in any country. Why should you take any food which has a glycemic index of 38 ???? Not for reversal. That's fine to continue your medicines (and hence management of diabetes) .
@@gautamguha71newdelhi do you agree that parboiled rice is better than white rice? I live in canada and the Diabetes expert suggested me that if I like rice then I can only take parboiled rice as it's GI is low and it falls in the list of Green column foods which can be taken without any spike in sugar.
