When I'm not traveling in an RV or at home working on an RV, I'm usually at our remote, off grid log cabin in the Yukon. My husband and I have had this cabin for over 20 years and love it. You and me both, Greg! Although these days it’s the need to get our latest addition (6 month old pup) outside to do her business before she does it on the floor!😆I didn’t realize how much more work it would be potty training a puppy on the road!😂 But, I do light the propane stove to get the coffee started before heading out with her☕️

Haha coffee is always my first priority too. Wow! Look at that view! What a cool old town. Wonder why you can have your pet at certain times of the year? Such a picture perfect old time town. I'd rather see it when there's not a ton of peeps there too. Oh so maybe the crowds is why no pets during summer time? So many buildings they've restored and kept in good condition. This is so neat. I love stuff like this. I really loved this tour. Not a great chance I'll ever get to visit myself so I'm glad I was able to see it through you.
Great minds need coffee! 😆I think the main reason for no dogs during the summer season is due to the crowds. They also have a stage coach that pulls visitors around town, so maybe the horses too?? It was nice to be able to bring Freddie and Gracie in though. They’ve done an amazing job of restoring the town. There were still lots of buildings in need of restoration when I first went. They also do archeological work under and around the buildings prior to restoring them. It’s such a cool place! I’m hoping to get my grandkids there one day soon and even get them outfitted in period accurate costumes which you can rent there! ( I personally spent a day dressed as a saloon girl one trip😁).
It is a great spot. Very pretty. Nice having coffee with you.

We are currently in Arizona in the trailer. Really enjoying our travels here. Probably won’t be back to the cabin until fall as our eldest daughter and grands will be visiting from PEI in June!

What a wonderful, historic town, I'd love to see it someday. It's so nice dogs are allowed off season - I'm with you, I'd much rather visit then too. I love your car camping setup, isn't it a marvelous way to travel?! Thanks for bringing us along. -Jody
Hi Jody! Barkerville in the off season is do peaceful. I just love it! It’s a ton of fun, especially with kids, during the summer. It’s a living museum. Definitely worth a stop no matter what time of year though! They even have a Christmas event I’d love to attend one day 🎁
The car camper has been such a freeing way to travel for me. No worrying about parking or dumping tanks. But, until I can figure out how to fit my 6 foot, 230lb. husband, plus our other dog in, it’s solo traveling for me. Well, Freddie and Gracie too😆
@@HoneyandMe The Christmas event sounds wonderful! We've done the same with our SUV. It's such a fantastic & simple way to travel and get to places where we can't bring our little trailer. Great minds, think alike. 😊
Do you car camp as a couple? I’m throwing around options to include hubs and our other, larger dog. I’d love some tips!
@@HoneyandMe We do both . I go solo and we go together, with our little dog. Our setup is always evolving to make improvements. It's such a fun & simple way of getting out exploring. It's been working out well for us - I have a few videos of what our setup looks like. We do have a large SUV and we are both short, so that helps. Not sure if you've watched (Tristan) SUVRVing, but he has some great ideas for making a small, simple platform the easily connects to the back of the driver seat to lengthen the bed area. That might be worth looking into. I can't leave a link but it's something like, How We Sleep in Our Toyota Highlander (SUV Camping for 2 + a dog). He has lots of videos with great ideas. -Jody

I've been to Wells, BC a few times but I've only been to Barkerville once. I need to make an effort to get back out there soon....
I love Wells! My next video will have my wander through it❤️Such a funky place. I had the best coffee at a little place there☕️Barkerville is such a gem. I’m glad the province saw that and helped preserve it. Do you live close by?
I was there about 19 years ago and it was awesome. I need to go back and visit again.
