  • This is Cody with his awesome long travel Tacoma making hells gate look like a cake walk. We were all together for the T. a. Co. Rock Therapy 2013 Event. Cody's truck has a Total Chaos long travel suspension that not only can jump dunes, but apparently is not to bad at crawling either.

    I really like the way he has it set up, proves that bigger and higher tires are not always needed.

    Nicely done and good looking Taco! Now I'm looking at long travel rather than SAS. So do the Tundra axles work with the existing front 3rd member? Same splines as the 4runner/tacoma? I'd hate to give up my built front diff.

    Just wondering because it doesn't look 7" wider in the front. Sick setup though! I'm doing a long travel cantilever system in the rear of my Tacoma & camburg L/T front. Currently have the camburg mid travel front.

      Very nice! Yeah it really doesn't look that wide in this video. I have a few other videos from the gate, that you should look at. On this obstacle the truck simply sits higher over the "V" so it is kind of hard to tell. Are you on Tacoma World?

    Wow that looks fun! Real nice driving there too. I have a similar video with more on the way if you want to check it out!

    Nice Truck where can I find that front bumper?

    How do you have long travel on a 4x4? Doesn't that wreck your CV's?

      Thanks for the reply Peter. I had thought that most (well, all actually) of the LT trucks on TW were prerunners.

    What L/T kit is that? Most if not all L/T kits I have seen widen the front stance by 3.5" per side or is this actually a mid travel kit?

      @TunnelVision4x4  Před 9 lety

      He is running the Total Chaos +3.5 kit with dual shocks up front and a SUA kit in the back. Not sure on all the specifics, but it is definitely a long travel setup.

    Hey Tunnel Vision 4x4, could you get me in touch with Cody by chance? I want to connect with him about those trimmed fenders :)

      I can't give out his personal information, but I do know for a fact that they were a one off set. He had someone cut two inches out of the center and then reattached them together.

    I got a 02 ram quad 4x4 could it do this? i know it would need more of a lift probably

    • @TunnelVision4x4
      @TunnelVision4x4  Před 8 lety

      +commanderwhite12 longer wheel base vehicles can go up this pretty easily. You would definitely want to have some lift for sure though.
