- Hey Guys, Migs Here! In today’s video, we work on my 1974 MGB and do some final checklist things to get it ready and safe for it’s first test drive out on the road! We take the wheels off and check the brakes, steering components, bearings, get the air out of the lines as well and regrease the hubs! Then weld the exhaust and do the first oil change since the rebuild to examine how the engine is breaking in! Thanks for Watching! Glad to see it coming to life.
Just cuz the wheel bearings are snug doesn't mean they are greased properly. Also, grease the kingpins, top fulcrum pin and bottom A arm pins. These are often neglected but need frequent attention. Check your inner A arm bushings as they crack, egg shape & throw it out of alignment. Also the top fulcrum pin bushings collapse inwards.
That is so awesome you are working on MG now and my Cousin and 2nd Cousins own MG now okay my awesome FRIEND …….
It needs a turbo 😏
If he’s charging a dead battery because of the cold you know you’re watching moto migs lol
Hi Keegan!
@@matouslitera8073 hey nice to see you watch migs also. I have been following him for a couple years now
Yeah I watched his vids since his half scale Nascar rebuild
@@matouslitera8073 you should check out my newest video I broke my fork on my Bmx.
That wiring under the bonnet needs a good tied up good work migs
YES so excited to see it on the road
Great video as always
Hahah my dad had 3 of these, with some speacial wrench to take the wheels off, yeah we scrapped em,
Just a warning on the wire wheels. If you drive and apply brakes, and hear a clunk sound, the splines on the hub and wheel are worn. These should be replaced immediately if thats the case. If they are worn and you apply heavy brake pressure you could strip the splines causing the wheel to spin while the hub stays still. Because of how the knock off caps are threaded, they will loosen right off when this happens. If it does, pull over immediately because there is nothing holding the wheel on. Its a VERY loud grind noise when on the brakes. This happened to me and i made too many turns and my wheel came off and destroyed my right fender. Be safe
Nice work Migs !
Keep up the work
Remove the Y junction on the side cover breather and just hook up to the carb. Also make sure you then are using a vented cap.
Nice
Damn migs it’s been a while, I didn’t even know that you have an MG roadster. Very nice ride indeed, I don’t whether I was too busy to watch your videos or you haven’t done one in a long time. Good to see you back sir.
Wadddup Migs good to see ya dawg!!
Great job on the 'B'. Where did you end up setting the idle timing advance?
Didn't ice cube drive this car in the 90s
love the vid what happened to the firetruck build
Is the dash have a sticker type decal wood grain? Thanks
Gosh MGs in general are dirt cheap where I live, it's like they are trying to get rid of them
Remember migs too much oil pressure it bad
Perfectly normal when cold
Hope that battery was disconnected while welding…..🙃
First🧝♂️
Finally lol
Hue bro what are you studying in school?
Sell it
Dylan Taylor, I would not sell it.
That's a good idea going over everything before you take it out, drive slow...
