It’s cool to see Derik and Dave working together. They make a good team.
Ya they do. Pretty funny together
Dave has that sense of humor that I love!
these guys drive a truck with no oil pressure, now you can rebuild the engine
Dave Chappelle has really changed since I saw his last comedy show 😂
Derik and Dave need their own show
are you serious? Derek has his own youtube channel.....
Isn't that exactly what this is?
@@SonnyGTA No, this is Derick show, and Dave helped him with this.
Drek doesn't have time for that stuff. He's on the special olympics doobie jiggy sparky whirlly team and that keeps him busy
Well I'll be dipped. A feller was just watching a guy talk about this truck. Nice
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁✌✌
Exactly why they put this out lol. Capitalize on Derek's name, as usual
Same
@@krob5375 as an European, this is the only way for me to see these motor trend shows, so I'm not complaining
She turned out real nice too, fun seeing the origin story
I would have loved to see some more of the installation of everything. Too much gold is hitting the editors floor!
Definitely need to see more of these two, not just the chickens, Derick and Dave!
I was thinking the same thing
Derek. Dave and Dulcich are my 3 favorites.
Keep the chicken as a regular.
Leave those chickens alone!
@@americasfavoritehoarder That little hen was pretty hot!!! I love red heads. LOL
Ah the dually from the latest vgg! Finally the story
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😘😘😘😘😘😘
I saw it in person at LS Fest and was so confused. Where in the world did this come from??
You have not been watching the video or you might have missed the one he was talking about this truck @tylersmith7054
@@larryhall6416 I’m talking about last September long before either the RR or VGG videos were on CZcams. The truck was displayed and it was the first time hearing about it. He was there in the Delorean and it also wasn’t in a video that had been posted yet. Obviously he has a method to the madness of his upload schedule.
The 9-volt battery test on the injectors is genius.👍
lost art... today it's all $5000 scan tools!
I have old popular mechanic mags that have tools in them i have never seen before.
It is NOT ingenious, it is the standard way the EVERY mechanic uses to check out suspected bad injectors of this type!
Dave is awesome. He even has a super fun sense of humor. Hope to see a lot more of him here.
They finally didn't suddenly cut off the Episode at a random second. Thank God.
You two get along so well. incredibly funny and talented
So that's how that whole deal went - I love it! You two should be having a show together more often - you fellers are a natural together!
I had a 1991 Chevy C1500 short bed that I put 197,000 miles on it. It had that same TBI injection. I never had any issues with it at all. But I did put 5 water pumps in it, 3 sets tires, two brake jobs, an ignition module, and a set of intake manifold gaskets.
I dig Derek and pretty much everything about Vice Grip Garage, but his comment on GM TBI is completely unfounded. I've owned pretty much every GM fuel injection system, other than the original Rochester system on the C1/2 Corvettes and the most reliable of all time has always been TBI.
@@jbernfield2612 That was certainly my experience as well.
Yea nothing wrong with the TBI. Super reliable.
Always love it when Dave Chapelle is in the show. Man's an artist with power tools
We need more of this pickup on CZcams Motortrend!
For sure
Makes me smile when I see a new video posted.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤
Nice to see the process. That thing is a jewel.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤
When Dave is part of any video, the video is going to be awesome.
Absolutely, its a crime they canceled Dirt Every Day
Thanks!
You guys are so good together.
Very amusing both so skilled
Miss watching dirt every day. Cool to see you guys working on stuff together.
Our chickens have to investigate everything! They like to help.
Another awesome episode.....these guys can take a boring re-build and make it worth watching...
😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
I need a 4hr episode on this build lol
Yeah it went from completely torn apart to completely finished instantly.
love videos with VGG and Dave...
we need to see more of this!
Good thing they blurred that oil logo never would have guessed what it is!
I'm in video heaven, please don't stop making these.
Thanks MT for showing the victory lap.
😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜👍👍
That was an outstanding outcome. Looks sweet!👍🏻🇬🇧You guys really put some work into that.
nice to see dave around
That truck definitely had side post originally, my 83 did.
Yep. They started that bs in the seventies
@@hughjass1835 1970 to be exact all models.
NICE. Perfect weather here, saw our MiLB team in a shutout earlier today with great friends and now VGG. Life is Good.
Note to editor, show complete build next time.please
we all want to see daves work.
good to see you working again...
I love that truck! Looks amazing lowered
Best build so FAR!
Who doesn't love a nice square body slammed Dually that can still haul. Wish you would have shown the suspension work
Awesome engine rebuild an awesome rebuild and restoration on the old GMC truck keep new videos coming like the channel a lot 🤘
You guys are a great team, both know their jobs well😊
It was great to watching you bring that old truck back online!
😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜
These two dudes together are awesome!! ....funny fellers :)
Awesome labor of love. Absolutely impressive.
1 complaint--these videos need to be longer. Besides that, awesomeness 👍🏻
Yeah would have been good to see Dave do his work
Ive always loved tbi, its like a carb but injected. Ive never had one issue with them.
I'm in hog heaven all these videos coming out keep them coming
It’s an old video but I’ll watch it again
Such a cool truck. Love this build
Beautiful old truck
Just saw this truck on VGG, love seeing its origins. Great seeing these two work together. 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Love the chickens, that was a nice touch.. it's a shame the mice ruined the 454.... The truck came out great!. I used to have a 84 Sierra and loved it❤
Very cool thanks you two for your time 👍👍👍👍👍😊
Very cool. Loving the Rat Rod build at the moment. Can hardly wait for the next video.
The GM TBI is simple and reliable. Plenty of cars and trucks still using them everyday. The USPS is still delivering mail in LLV's for 38 years which is just a square S10 with a Iron Duke 4 cylinder with TBI.
You guys are great to work with.
GOOD JOB!
Thanks!!
Dieser Truck hatte definitiv Seitenpost im Original, mein 83er.
my dads company has always had chevy trucks. the oil pumps in the late 80's and 90's trucks usually gave out between 110 and 120,000 miles. I was driving one when the oil pump quit. A bottle of Lucas got me home with 5 lbs of oil pressure.
TBI works great, just makes minimal power 😂 , better off road than a standard carb would do
I have a 1990 GMC SIERRA that has 260,000 miles on it and never had a problem with the TBI.
@@donaldstewart8342 yep I’ve got 3 all over 250k miles and they just keep going , sold my wife’s suburban with 330k still running
The Jeep crowd loved TBI
Beautiful truck! I love it!
😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Why these guys want lowered trucks is beyond me.
Some guys like short chicks and some like em tall 😉 that's all it is
Easier to get in and throw your tools in the back? Idk lol
Coz they can! Ever heard of minitrucks and lowriders?
@@edwardiganz2478 yep. Short bus type people
Personal preference Richard.
There's something you don't see every day Chauncey. A chicken on a 454.
That dude looks like he’s gonna talk about ‘buttered sausage’ . Busey look-alikey 😅
What a team-up, nice!
Dave walking around with that ever present coffee mug like Julian of the Trailer Park Boys (except his wasn't coffee...lol)
This was awesome!!
Fantastic job
finally yes!!! you too are my fave guys.
My 1993 C3500 gas that throttle body on a 5.7 and I've never had a problem with that either
And you won't. Don't know why he called it garbage.
A lot of people hate on the tbi yeah it’s pretty reliable in my opinion just there gutless
what a sweet truck
Love this truck, she's a beauty
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice truck except for the lowered look.
those TBI engines are awesome, i love mine
Beautiful truck momma bought one brand new I was 11 in 87
Came out awesome!
😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Love the 3 prong cord
Awesome truck. I can take apart anything. Going back together is a different story
Glad to see the start of this build. You have it nice now. Spoiler alert look VGG up!!! Oh and the VGG dictionary is a great idea lol ❤
So, let me see if a guy has it right, a "mouses" killed an "rat"....lol
I hate meeses to pieces!
Oh nice, this was in last episode and now we get to see it getting done. Me, I'd like to have that BB to rebuild, send it my way.
You can bring the Cutlass to me down in Gulfport, MS for Cruisin' the Coast in October!
A guy witness GREATNESS!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Those tbi systems are great for melting the wires when it backfires and starts camp fire on top 😮
Glad to see that dirt everyday is still a show according to this episode being posted June 23rd 2024
Dave has his own channel these days. It's a good time
That was a good build
One thing I know about TBI. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it
This show is awesome. I loved the episode when y’all came to Kansas!
Good to see Dave again, getting rid of dirt everyday was one of motor trends stupidest moves
Derik has all the juice
Nice lookin rig, you could go to town in that.
Crazy cool
This was such a cool build I wish we got to see it all though
I love these vids, extra I'll be dipped is always a good thing ❤
Makes me miss my big block suburban
Good to see Dave again. I thought I saw some dirt there somewhere…
Mice probably got in thru the hole in the valve cover where the oil filler cap was supoossed to be.
✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌
Never understood the hate for Terminator Broccoli Injection. Had a couple of TBI220 equipped Chevys in my life and never had an issue with them.
Always wanted to make a big tire drag truck out of one of these!
When the hood opened and there wasn't a breather on the valve cover, I thought critters might go in there. Sad to think that killed the 454. Boy, that truck looks like a million bucks now!
TBIs never dies. But the 1" of rubber hose from the fuel pump in the tank to the hard line bursts. Otherwise, they are simple, and not much to go wrong.
I actually really like the old GM TBI's. They're super simple and you can still get data loggers/telemetry gear for them and they run like a truly perfect carb would run, hot cold no matter.
Very nice video, very nice work!
Cool truck for sure
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😘😘
